This is the one too. Best story telling song ever in my opinion. I have always truly believed that you could take this song that is under 5 mins and make a 2 hour movie out of it without any problem. I can picture this song so vividly every time I hear it.

Yup, B.I.G. is the GOAT storyteller. I heard a lot of rappers trying their hand at tracks like these, including Nas, obviously, however Big was effortless with it. This level has never been surpassed if you ask me. And Big had THREE of those GOAT storytelling tracks on Life After Death.

As a teenager I was metal and rock... I hated rap... until I heard Born Again. It was like flipping a light switch. I know it word for word to this day and BIGGIE is the GOAT because rapping is the art of storytelling (a lot of similarities to true country on different levels). That flow, style, and mental illustration is unmatched. This is one of my favorite songs of his because it’s like you say... watching a movie in your mind, something like New Jack City in a few minute song. Try “Watchu Want” from Biggie Duets... still one of my favorite gym jams.

One of the best storytellers is Masta Ace as well. Falling Season is a great album that talks about his days in high school. Beautiful is a good song to react to from another good storytelling album. K-Rino also has dope storytelling stuff like Annihilation of Evil machine.

Still my favourite rapper of all time . He had this unbelievable ability to project imagery like no one else . He puts you right in the events he’s describing Tracks like Hardcore , and damn who the F is this paging me at 5.46 in the morning crack of dawning. I got to see him live in the U.K. in Manchester early 94 I think possibly supporting you’ll never guess who? Only mr Robert Kelly . And the audience was weirdly full of family’s and dads covering there daughters ears 🤣 especially when gimme the loot came on 🤣🤣🤣😂

If you a younger dude, I get why you’d think so. To ME personally, I think slick is a better more consistent story teller. He has this dope 38 song mix of story telling style songs. Kool G Rap up there with storytellers. His flow and storytelling influenced Biggie, Jay-Z, etc. If you like storytelling, check out Prince Paul's album "Prince Among Thieves." Whole album is one big story. Breeze Brewin kills it as the main protagonist, but there's a lot of talented MC's playing the different roles

A lot of true emcee's have great stories they have told also check out MC Eight CMW, he's known as the street reporter.
