The Strange Rework of Ultimate Weapon 

This update has been so buggy and the rubber banding is insane. My friend on Xbox keeps teleporting backwards. I can't remember an update being this bad.

The update has truly been something lmao

for everyone rubber banding, it's because the new engine the game is running on. your system needs to reload each area of each map, and the game is basically 'live streaming' the maps to you while you are playing the game. once the map is fully loaded at least once, you shouldn't have rubber banding issues.

I miss the earlier UW because I loved having a ton of things that made me scream as James. It's why I use Scene Partner on him

that update sure did something bad to the performence of the game... i just got a lot of rubberbandig and survivers 5 to 10 meters sometimes... i used ultimate weapon for pure screaming builds a lot... for me its a lil sad that the screams are gone now for this perk... on huntress its still pretty good tho, you have to open lockers anyway, so why not use it for some infos^^ but at always, nice video dude^^

Hear me out, I liked the old ultimate weapon as killer and survivor, It gave a point to call spirit and as a killer made distortion less viable at last, It felt so nice being able to use a tracking perk

Making uw an aura reveal tells me bhvr has no idea what they are doing. Half the reason uw got popular is it bypassed distortion.

Personally, I thought the only change that had to be made to Ultimate Weapon was an increase in the cooldown, the base effect was fine as is.

Hey Spookyloopz, I think the better synergy with current ultimate is with barbeque and Floods of rage. You would essentially have global aura reading all game. This perk is arguably better now for mobility killers (nurse/blight) than it was before since it takes out all the guesswork of survivor locations. Before it was like a snapshot of survivor locations with the scream, now it's just 'open locker, charge blink, delete survivors not running distortion'

I rubber banded so bad once on Hawkins that I ran halfway across the map to rescue someone, and ended up back to a loop like there was supposed to be a box in the way

Its not just you... No one can see auras in the corn. The corn sees the corn which feeds the corn to mask the aura within the corn. Simple

Welp, this sucks. UW was one of the few info perks that wasn't beat by Distortion. Calm Spirit just became obsolete again and Distortion got a shadow buff.

I also have a lot of rubberbanding since the update. As for Oni ,it seems they never fixed his slower animation thats been around for a while now.

I'm still of a mind that the new UW is now much stronger with certain killers, it's essentially made distortion even more valuable, and people who don't have it will have an even harder time. Cause a scream only shows where you are for a brief moment, but aura reading, with lethal pursuer makes killers that benefit from aura reading even more terrifying.

The description isn't up to date on my part (Steam, PC). It says that survivors 15 meters around a locker will scream. However, in game, they don't scream and their auras are instead revealed when entering my terror radius. Behavior be clowing for real : ^)

Playing twins to see what they changed had me rolling. Sitting there like “so they changed the switching time and let you recall vik basically right away, honestly should have just left them alone if that’s all they were going to do”

I think a cool rework for Ultimate Weapon would be to instead have it make any survivor in the terror radius scream when the locker is opened, and if none are revealed then only the first survivor to enter your terror radius afterwards screams. It should have a time limit on the lingering effect, and I’d expect it to warrant a shorter cooldown. However, since it only gets one survivor most of the time it would ultimately reduce the amount of information afforded to the killer by the perk. Additionally, this would increase the amount of time a killer would need to spend opening lockers if they want to have it active often, which is why I think rebalancing to a shorter cooldown would be the right way to go.

Y'all, everybody is sleeping on Spies From the Shadows as their replacement for Ultimate Weapon. Maybe at the top level survivors try harder not to alert crows, but I get insane value from it all the time. It has a cooldown of FIVE SECONDS and doesn't have any indicator for the survivors that you have it, so unlike with aura perks or ones that make you scream, they won't be able to tell why you have so much info on where they are, and they can't distortion. It is especially nuts on indoor maps where the crows are basically impossible to avoid. The downsides are that sometimes the number of loud noise notifications can be distracting, and because it doesn't make survivors scream it doesn't interrupt actions. But it's one of my favorite info perks on killer. Editing to add: nobody's gonna be running calm spirit anymore because of the Ultimate Weapon change, so that helps too lol

My only issue with UW was the cooldown. It felt like every player who ran it spammed it the entire game

I’ve never lagged so bad after an update. Just constant rubber banding but for some reason only happens in chase.

I keep getting rubber banded as killer and survivor. Even glitched out to where I was on a different spot on my screen but the game said I was by a pallet. Praying there's a patch for this soon because it's very debilitating to try dealing with

yeah I've never lagged super bad before on DBD, but suddenly the lag is a lot more common so the engine switch was probably not super ideal in the short term. what sucks is I've been running into killers who take advantage of the lag and either lag switch or Ddos so they can win.

Maybe Distressing instead of Iron Maiden might be a good build for this too. Of course, it's only one change but still, could help with Ultimate Weapon

I wonder if, with the update, the changes to Blight's collision actually affected the rest of the game as well. I've noticed I get a lot of lag and stuttering around walls/doorways/certain other map objects like trees and rocks... makes me suspicious.

I’m not playing until they patch this. I rubber band horribly every game. I have a clip of me vaulting the window at shack in a custom with a friend, and it rubber banded the second I vaulted and it showed the animation but then just kept me in shack.

I’m so glad I saw you experience the jitter. Our internet has been poopy lately so I was just blaming that for a good long while. I think I took me to see the broken animations in RPD (top stairs pallet UGH).

Did they allow you to use stuff from sets to mix and match now?

Lol, that's EXACTLY the build I'm playing on my Huntress since Ultimate Weapon came out. It's really fun, but it also can be kinda frustrating without any gen defense.

Taking this as a grain of salt, but someone on reddit said that this UW is ptb's version and it will return screams next patch.

i think i prefer the screams, i think them not screaming makes the perk more op because survivors have no idea theyve been hit with it if they miss the blindness prompt in the corner. auras also stick around longer than a scream does, so you also see the direction they move in

I was playing Onryo on RPD yesterday and on one of the TVs after you teleport you can’t even move 😅

Oni has been bugged for a few months where demon strike is ridiculously slow

idk if this update tops the update years ago when you'd get stuck on the hills on maps and just be unable to move completely but it's up there. But also you're not alone. I also cannot see auras in the corn or when people are on gens, they just mesh together. 30+ squad let's go blind together :3

This is definitely one of the patches of all time.

I had a potential 3K go to a 4 Out due to that hardcore rubber banding. Every chase was a failure because they out ran me with the banding. Plus flashing lights in the end screen so I can’t even look at perks.

Does ultimate weapon work with the legion add-on that makes his terror radius cover the entire map? 🤔

I'm so confused. They literally said it went back to scream and only on lockers so now it's aura but still on you? Wtf

This update has so many bugs some maps have invisible hills and some loops are just blocked off by invisible walls

Anyone else having trouble with powerstruggle? What ever I do it won't stun the killer but the pallet drops. Basically the pallet drops too late.

Anyone else notice the slight delay when you vault as killer. It’s like you almost get stuck everytime! Smh

Im still kinda new to dbd. That locker perk seems pretty OP? You can just open a locker whenever you want as many times as you want to see survivors through walls? Can anyone explain if that's right or why it's balanced or anything?

Huh, I’ll probably never use ultimate weapon again if it stays like that. I only played 1 game since the update but it feels much smoother and looks much better on PS5. I did notice one weird issue with rubber banding near the end of my game but it didn’t affect gameplay.

Rework idea, make it a stacks perk of like 5 and make sure there’s a button to activate it in front of a locker

I've only been rubberbanded one instance this patch but my god some people have it really bad

literally just got a cat 8 ethernet cable because my wifi is bad, with this update even with it i rubber band like a playstation 3 that got punched with a crowbar

People are acting as if this perk is useless when it's not Yeah, it's not meta S tier, but it's definitely not F tier It still synergizes with a bunch of builds and powers

It's so fucked with how it was worded but I'm pretty sure it was 32 meters of *the locker* you open, not *all* lockers, so it is different to Darkness Revealed. At least, that's how I read it...
