Aires is gorgeous!!!! Congratulations 🎊 We waited 5 years to get another puppy! We now have a 15 week Golden Retriever! Best decision we have ever made!
This video randomly showed up in my feed. Watching this totally inspires me! I can’t wait to be a doggo mom someday and I bet it will be serendipitous for me too. 🤍🐾 Thank you Kate & Aries for modeling a great mom & doggo team for me and everyone else. 😘😘
Lol! Great story! Love it. I waited a year for the baby I wanted, after a year of deciding what I wanted, so it was a long time. Turns out I kind of rescued mine, and because of the breed (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) it was hard to find a breeder that was willing to give me a chance because of never having one and the fact that I am disabled and can't really run after a dog. Anyway, I finally found one that gave me a chance, although possibly not the best breeder I learned later...so went to see the pups, (I specifically wanted a girl at first - only ever had girl pets growing up but read they love you but the boys fall IN love with you, and I wanted a cuddle bug so decided on getting a boy) so here was a little Blenheim boy just like I wanted and he kept nipping at my pant legs lol so he pretty much chose me. Drove 2 hours home in a rainstorm, him cuddled against me all wrapped in a blanket (my mom was driving). I will never forget that night. Sir Alexander Wigglesworth was my little blessing/gift from God. He lived to be 14, had to let him go 3 years ago, still miss him, he was my baby. I have lots of great memories and know I was blessed to get him and have him as long as I did. (And let me tell you, this big girl who needs knee replacements ran like a crazy woman in her PJs in the winter with no shoes on when Alex decided to run out before I could hook him to the tie-out to potty, then thought it was a fun new game, mommy yelling his name and calling cookie, cookie, cookie! Yes, my apt. complex probably had a good laugh that morning...I did too eventually haha.) Enjoy your little Aires, make lots of memories like you are! I sure wish I'd videoed more when he was a pup but I have videos in my mind at least hehe. Bless you both, Kate, love you! 💜🐕🦺
My blue heeler came to me when I needed him most. I was visiting family in a country area and my mum informed me that a neighbor has puppies and I went to have a look ( I didn’t have a plan to get a dog). I was holding a beautiful little girl pup and went to move and was told to stop. I looked down and sitting proudly by my feet was a little pup. He has been my love for 10 yrs , where I go he is right beside me. I was able to spend a lot of time with him and he has a sister now who came from a different family but the same property that he came from. Divinely guided once again.
Aries is so handsome!! 💞 When I bought my first home, for added protection my mother gave me her German Shepherd, who I helped raise as a puppers. I was so happy to bring my permanently official dog to our new home. She is able to roam inside & outside as she pleases. No doubt in my mind she’s my furry daughter. 💞🏡🐕🦺
Omg Kate I just came across this video from 3 yrs ago, I remember your first mom pup pic on your trip back home from getting Aries and the rest is important history. Love you both lots, watch your stories most days! ❤
Hi Kate I'm so Glad for You That You and Aries got together ! It was Serendipitous And meant to be ! Love the Red Monkey Toy diaries being the Favourite Toy !
This is a wonderful story, thank you for sharing!! I've wanted a dog for so long (I grew up with a blue heeler as well, and am leaning toward that breed) and haven't felt ready, but I'm starting to get that feeling of wanting to prepare. And then your lovely video popped up in my feed!
Ohh yes the good old tug of war, my Rusty is 3 years and a half and he still loves to tug,and catching frisbee, he likes that too, i am starting to let him walk free when we go out into the woods here, i keep his leach around his neck so i can grab him when a tractor or other people cross our path, but he truelly enjoys that freedom and yes the are very active and need their space, i noticed that 3 years old was when he started to relax and calm down a bit more, poor boy had been locked up 9hrs a day outside in a cage for the first year and a half of his life he was bought as a pup, as a birthday gift for a 10 year old, talk about not doing your research on what breed to get... so in the end he killed a chicken out of frustration which landed him into the dog pound, he had been there for 3 months until I adopted him.And since then both are life's completely changed, first for the worst and then for the better, his only way of love was through playing and beeing naughty, he didn't know affection or love, he never would stay near you for long, always needed to be active, distracted, never could relax himself, and i was coming out of heavy 3year depression that nearly cost me my life, and i was still under heavy addiction of substances, cannabis to numb the pain and my feelings, i became addicted after getting to much morphine in 2009 when they removed 30cm of small intestine(crohns since 2001)managed to work as a mechanic from 2004 till 2016 when i got my medical discharged after my boss wanted to force me back into work, anyways don't want to dive to deeply into that rabbit hole, my life is totally different now, i am addiction free and on the right path for a while now and the inflammation is 10x better, my dog is happy and stable and he appreciates love now and we respect each other. Thats all that counts, sorry for my little detour. All is well and i am happy to see that you and Aries are doing great together.👍🙏❤️
My Chi was a throw away with others behind Lowes, and my 2nd dog I had to take in bc his owner was a flake. They have it made, on Dr. Marty's raw diet. I doubt they ever had eaten so well. Best dog I ever had was a pour abused Cheweenie Dixie, from a gassing chamber shelter - saved two dogs online that day bc they pics broke my heart. Max was a BC and best security patroler inside and outside. They finally outlawed gassing in that state. I never had a purebred dog, except my first dog was an AKC apricot mini poodle. I always rescue, and buy rescue for them to make it to their 2nd chance at life.
I got the" Butterfly Kittymoo" who just passed after 15yrs, following"Sandy", mother's dog(15 yrs), who we just got when mother wanted to go home. I took her to her home(everyone wanted to put her in a "home") and for 5yrs we were here with "Mr. Coffee", a feral kitten who always heard us coming down the hall and looked through the door window for breakfast. Mother, in her wheelchair, said she wanted to pet him, so one DAY I snatched him screaming from the porch, brought him in, laid him in mom's lap; she put her hand on him and they slept in her bed for 8 hrs. After a couple of weeks (of getting used to us) he'd sit on her table and watch her drink coffee(a drip of cherry concentrate, ("It needs")2 pink sugars, 4oz of coffee, 4 oz of 2%chocolate milk, 1/4ozof heavy whipping cream.) and he'd patiently watch her drink until she finally offered him some, about 4 days later. Explaining to her dementia that she didn't know what he'd been eating or cleaning, they'd settled for coffee from separate cups, and they'd spend every day talking to the birds. She (mom) passed in '18, but still to this day, at 5yrs old, he doesn't hurt the birds because he's such a good kitty, still his momma's baby boy. Hope you enjoyed this because I've thoroughly enjoyed your readings, and as always, my best, with highest regards, Stephen
I just bought my young niece a copy of The Silver Brumby which I read when I was her age. About to wrap it up I opened it at a random page and the brumbies are being chased by a blue heeler. Spooky!
