Rather than a cav template, if you make the template a single artillery and then leave that as their only template the civil war is easier. A single artillery has quite literally 0 organization. So it gets instantly pushed by literally anything attacking it. Even if you then use cav units for their movement speed you'll still outfight them.
I prefer to do it with an equipment type that I have none of, like armored cars or anti-tank. That way the division has close to zero strength, it's literally just a bunch of guys without the equipment that they are supposed to be using.
I do Bukharin path pretty often actually, its pretty fun. You can get 0% consumer goods, which is kinda op, even with your construction speed debuffs. You even get the toned down version of the Stalinist COMECON focus (the one where you steal your puppet's factories), but with Bukharinist Russia (technically you should pick Rykov for 0% consumer goods) you could also steal resources from your puppets, but thats kinda redundant now with the new peace deals
Speaking of onions I remember a story about a soviet official who lost the favour of Stalin and was thus worried about being assassinated, particularly by poisoned food. He decided that he should eat only eggs, since he thought they couldn't be poisoned. But eggs can be poisoned and the NKVD killed him with eggs.
I mean, there is a story of KGB positioning a Bulgarian official through an umbrella, and the whole ordeal with Trotsky being killed by a pickaxe of all things. NKVD was kinda goofy ahh spy agency, but scarily effective
@@lmao6762 I think you might be slightly misremembering the first one, the umbrella assassination was a bulgarian dissident being killed by the Bulgarian communist secret service in London, although they may have had some KGB support.
14:11 ive played this path before and had the same thing I believe if you get the event "russian medelling in the americas" it gets rid of the modifier for all the countries that had it
You can win the civil war so fast by both trading away all of your equipment to Spain and making their units one width arty. It’s just the best way to do it.
That one is nice, but can be spiced up, though. When you completed "Colonial Army" foci, only the eastern (Christian-majority) East Indies and Batavia that should automatically given the recruitable pop. modifier. For the rest of the islands (the Muslim-majority Java, Borneo, Sulawesi, and Sumatra), there should be propaganda campaigns to recruit them. Also, upon Bevrijding, East Indies should be released as a Supervised State since that was the plan from both the Queen and Governor-General Stachouwer since May 1940.
Fun fact:Did you know that the world's largest pyramid is not in Egypt, but in Mexico? The Great Pyramid of Cholula is a massive ancient structure located in present-day Mexico. It covers an area of over 4 acres and is nearly 100 feet tall. It was built by the ancient Maya civilization as a temple to the god Quetzalcoatl and was later covered by the Aztecs with earth and clay, giving it the appearance of a natural hill.
It's hard to believe I have been here since 2015. I have started and stopped watching many channels in that time but I have decided I will see this one through till the end. I have been here to long not to
so fun fact zemsky sobor is a kind of parliament but sobors in general in modern russian mean a particular kind of a church this is because we use the word soviet for parliaments or just the word parliament outter soviet linguistic victory
Quick guide on how to end the civil war in 2/3 months. Make your army exercise for 5/10 army exp: you need that to make a usless 2 width anti-air template, and if you want to speed up the process, use the other 5 to make a 2 width cavalry template. Put all your mils on guns. Take only the territories with the railway west of chita. there is no need to worry about vladivostok. DO NOT take more than necessary. You'll need the pp for later. Before the war starts, do the lend lease cheese and convert all your division to the anti-air one. Once the war starts, convert all of your divisions to the cavalry one. Train as many as you can and spam them as soon as possible and go to war economy. Make a gigantic frontline, put on aggressive, and let them go. Keep some troops on the north and est border, so that you dont die. Once the war ends, start improving relation with china, so that you can sent an attaché to them and get the war support needed for your war economy. You can pretty much beat Germany in 39 with this setup.
I literally just did this today and I have a 4 hour game (and counting) where the entire world literally is at war with me, my only allies who are now captiulated are romania and italy
Dear ISP! Is there any chance, you could be showing your defense and offence templates time-to-time? I played this game a lot on release, but then tried now, I SUCKED! A lot changed. Would be appreciated to see an actual working divisions, since you usually set yourself to horrible situations, and somehow fight well!
Nine to fourteen infantry with up to four artillery. Add Antiair, artillery, and up to any three support companies of choice. This is a solid line holder, even if the enemy has air superiority. Fighters you max out heavy machine guns, and stitch on some self sealing fuel tanks and armor plates. You may want to replace the armor with extra turrets if you have production to spare. For offense, bring tanks and mechanized in reasonable quantities. Piercing is kind of unimportant, as the ai tanks do not prioritize armor. If you have 200 armor, you are unpiercable by the ai. A 3 tank and 6 mech is quick to produce and can generally punch through lines to get you a small encirclement, but you will want to beef them up sooner rather than later. Planes are key though. Control the skies and even trash units who are entirely focused on holding the line will bleed the enemy enough to walk over them.
The real funny way to win the civil war every time is to just park your army in siberia, declare on Romania and have Turkey and Romania finish the civil war for you
I like how in that Third Rome event, Paradox forgot that Russia is Orthodox and the Patriarch is a leader of an Orthodox church yet they put some text in Latin on the button on the event even though Latin isn't used by any Orthodox church lmao. Bit of an oopsie daisy there
The "Third Rome" theory was a historical and political concept that emerged in Russia during the medieval and early modern periods. It suggested that Moscow, as the successor to the Byzantine Empire, had inherited its legacy as the center of Orthodox Christianity and the rightful heir to Rome's imperial authority. The idea of the Third Rome originated from the fall of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire, to the Ottoman Turks in 1453. With the demise of the Eastern Roman Empire, Russian intellectuals and religious figures began to perceive Moscow as the spiritual and political successor to Byzantium. They believed that Russia had a divine mission to preserve and propagate Orthodox Christianity, as well as to carry on the imperial traditions of Rome and Constantinople. The concept gained significant prominence during the reign of Ivan IV, also known as Ivan the Terrible (1533-1584). Ivan sought to consolidate Russian power and establish Moscow as the "Third Rome" to solidify its legitimacy and authority. He promoted the idea that the Russian Tsar was the true ruler of the Orthodox world and that Moscow was the "New Jerusalem." The notion of the Third Rome theory was closely tied to Russian Messianism, which emphasized Russia's exceptional destiny as a defender of traditional Christian values and the Orthodox faith. It conveyed the belief that Russia had a special role in protecting Christianity and opposing the Western powers, particularly Catholicism and Protestantism. The Third Rome concept continued to be influential throughout Russian history, particularly among religious and nationalist circles. However, its significance varied over time and was often invoked or interpreted differently by different individuals and groups. Nonetheless, the idea of Moscow as the Third Rome has left a lasting cultural and historical impact in Russia.
The only time I did third Rome was for that achievement. Things went wrong three times when the Soviets kept joining the axis during the civil war. Finally won it. Went down the focus tree without realizing it would ruin the achievement by going third Rome so I quit and never attempted it again.
Fun Fact: The concept of a Third Rome originally came from Medieval Bulgaria in the 14th century when it experienced a cultural golden age and its capital Tarnovgrad eclipsed Constantinople, which had long been declining at that point. After the Ottoman conquest of Bulgaria many Bulgarian scholars fled to the lands of the former Rus' (Ruthenia and the Duchy of Muscovy) and influenced the Muscovites with what was basically their unique interpretation of the Translatio Imperii.
I would like to see Bolivia. It has a interesting history during the 19th and 20th century, and Im curious what possibilities there are for Bolivia in the game
Can you check out the OpenVic2 Idea? I feel like it is a great project and would really work, since the current vic2 hasnt been updated in a decade and the community can add the features, the community knows best! I feel like its controversial and needs the attention of a big youtuber like you. 🤔
nothing compares to ISP videos to go sleep with, me, who drank whole night and was debating for whole fucking morning, sorry for my language dear ladies and gentlemans, its such a pleasure
I did a fuckin coop playthrough of third rome Russia and it was the most glorious fucking thing ever, we fought turkey just to take constantinople and ended up at war with japan who had china... was very fun
I actually did this yesterday just for fun. After I did the "Dismantle the Zemsky Sobor" focus, I joined the axis. Germany never kicked me from the faction or declared war on me even after they did the war goal focus. We defeated the allies, I got Canada and other colonies, went to war with the U.S.A. because we killed the allies before they joined, and it was all free real-estate from there. I didn't go third rome and stayed fascist, which I think is why Germany hasn't kicked me from the faction and attack me.
I play Romania a lot, but every time I just go for Balkans Dominance with His Majesty's Loyal Government and dominate the Balkans by '39 because the whole Preserve Greater Romania and Flexible Foreign Policy branches just lead you towards joining the big three factions rather than do any conquering of your own. So maybe a video where you do go flip-flop between all three factions as Romania?
