I dont know why Yorkshiremen think they lost the war of the roses, they won the first half: Edward IV (The son of Richard of York the guy who started the fighting) was one of Englands Greatest kings and survived being ousted and regained the throne. Richard III (His brother) betrayed the Yorkist faction following Edward's death by claiming his sons were illegitimate and locking them in the tower of london so he could take the crown himself. It was the Yorkists who made contact with the Lancastrians and sought an alliance to fight against a common enemy. It was decided that Henry Tudor would be made king and that he would marry Elizabeth of York who was Edward IV and RIchard III's sister (and probably Henry's cousin but yenno ). The Yorkist coat of arms, originally a sun was turned into a white rose, which then when combined with the red lancastrian rose became the tudor rose. The only people on Richard III's side were those who were to scared to go against him or were being blackmailed, the Yorkists had largely turned their back on the mad king.
Proposal to the mod developer: Let you invest in exclusively chippies or breweries. Then the follow up is to invest in either again. And then again. Each continuous focus makes Yorkshire more or less unstable depending on the balance of Chips and Beer. Give it 6 continuations so you can go for a perfect 3 and 3 investment, or you can sextuple down and fully invest in the chippies.
