I was taking a dump and heard my phone across the room buzz that a new super gt video was out. Needless to say, I put my mixture to lean 6 and crossed the pit line just to be here.
I was the Brazilian in the last race. It was the beginning of the week and as we all can see I was still very insecure with a proper pace in that track. I will always try to defend my position but always fairly. I'm glad you found our battle a respectful and entertaining one, I tried what I could even with my lack of skills and you managed to overtake me and run away, it was a pleasure and I can always learn from these battles!
Feels like anything that doesn't have the body roll control of the GT3 cars just ends up unsettled with all the camber changers, undulations and switchbacks.
@@D3Vlicious I don't actually think that's a bad thing, necessarily - it makes for a great challenge - but I feel that so much. Trying to get a car to stay neutral in this game feels almost impossible. You either get terminal understeer or constant oversteer.
Yeah, they butchered 2 classic tracks into generic FIAdromes just for the purpose, while simultaneously making the scenery less realistic for some reason. What they did to the Trial Mountain Yeet Chicane is criminal... especially since the berm is still there, taunting you from behind barriers. Was a GT fan from 2 through 6 but at this point I think the franchise as I knew it is pretty much dead.
These flowing tracks always take me the longest to come to grips with. I always struggle to find braking points and visible landmarks and the series of similar turns often gets muddled and I forget where I am on the overall track lol. Maybe I'll learn something from this video...
I find the flowing tracks a lot easier because once you get in the rhythm, it's really comfortable to keep putting in laps and improving my time. Tracks that doesn't flow well are a lot harder for me.
I finally did it, a few months ago I got the setup (TM T300 + pedals) and a couple days ago I bought GT7. Today I won my first daily race in Alsace, but I have to admit after years following you, only now I can fully appreciate and understand how insanely clean and composed your lines are, you might as well be on rails... Damn I've got so much work to do 😅
I hadn't driven this track in this format yet and wasn't so sure about it at the beginning of the week but it really is a good one. It has a good flow, mix of high and low speed corners, and rewards good driving but its width means you don't get overly punished by the mistakes of other drivers. I think the Porsche nearly came close to being competitive with the GTR this week but I haven't raced since Tuesday.
Great stuff Super GT !! I do remember you having a hard time with wins maybe a month ago… hyped to see you getting these race wins. Great content and race Pace ! GGs
Good Vid! I've been dedicated to running the M6GT3 fighting off GT-R's all week, Had pretty good success with it and staying pretty competitive. Yet to break into the 1:49.xxx's yet, My PB 1:50.155 is taunting me lol
I actually love that track in both versions. Unfortunately, it's one that will take tons of carnage as many drivers are not patient enough to wait for their chance but rather punt you and take the penalty or in some cases, not getting a penalty at all. Great clean racing my guy.
I delved into racing online on GT7 for the very first time this afternoon, was racing Group 3 around this track, it is slightly odd, the cambers on this configuration are the thing that really catch me out but great for online racing as there are so many "error generators"!
It makes me think of the track in Virginia in Forza 7, it’s a strange layout but lots of fun when you learn it! I just found your channel today and I feel like I’ve been missing out a lot, love the videos!
I had this game since the beginning of December and I still struggle to even drive it regularly let alone in reverse but did thoroughly enjoyed this video so much
Wish it was the normal way round, but the reverse ends up having a real nice flow. I'm preferring the 911 round here. Just glad to see PD put an unused track in the dailies (think so anyway), been really enjoying the racing here too
I love Alsace ,lots of fast sweeping corners, and you can maintain a lot of speed through most of the track. Plus it's an incredibly historically relevant part of the world.
Always a pleasure watching you race, I don't own a PS5 (PC Player) so I can't play GT7. ACC is as close as I can get and I always learn more about racing others closely from you :) Thank you!
As long as you’re (very) patient, there’s nothing other than load times wrong with the PS4 release, should you find a cheap one for sale. Though I don’t know if your PC wheel is PlayStation compatible; if you’ve got to buy a wheel upgrade as well then this all gets a bit too prohibitive.
@@IainLambert Thanks for the heads up, I think I'd rather wait for PS6 release since the PS5 has been out for a little while. I use a Moza R9 so it won't work on consoles sadly, but I love the look of GT7 I hope they can port it over to PC someday :) I heard GT7 can be pretty good even on controller, so I wouldn't mind not using a wheel on consoles.
@@thecop2482 that’s the other place where the PS5 version handily beats the PS4, yes - the new DualSense controller provides easily as good feedback through the haptic triggers as my Logitech wheel manages.
@@IainLambert What?! I never knew that! Wow honestly that blows me away, I knew that they had some haptics like always but not for the triggers that sounds fantastic. I'll keep an eye out for anything about the PS6 and give it a shot! Fingers crossed I'll be able to get one on release day :)
Probably my favourite track, it reminds me a lot of some of the roads we rode m/cycles on in the Adelaide Hills of Sth Australia. Minus the curbing. Not everyone survived unfortunately.
Racing this course in both directions is a challenge. Elevation changes and acute corners make for a frustrating time if you overdrive. Trust your pace, brake a moment later than the AI and hit the apex for a technically exhilarating experience. Didn't like this course at first, but fell in love with it. Makes for very close racing. Definitely a defensive drivers' dream so get out front early.
I can't understand why the rolling starts are so INCREDIBLY spaced out in Gran Turismo. You could argue it's to eliminate T1 shenanigans, but if that's the case it doesn't really help much.
Alsace is supposed to be based on public roads, with all the road furniture and signposts to go with it. However, the road markings follow the loop which constitutes the track, which makes no sense when looking at them from a day-to-day perspective. Sort it out PD!
Hey Super GT, this is unrelated: could you do a video using puppets to explain the ol switcheroo in terms of the Vortex of Danger? Feel like I'm close to understanding the Vortex but having an actual example (and puppets) would really help
You haven’t found the two new short tracks on Lago yet, have you? They’re not in online or career mode, but we’ve used them in lobbies and they’re fun. Well, it’s one track but both ways. Still, fun
Ya know, if you rotate this track about 45 degrees clockwise, it bears some similarity to an old original GT track, Grand Valley Speedway. GVS didnt have anywhere near the kind of elevation changes, but the shape is very similar.
your recent videos are sooo much better :) I like them. I'd like to see your alter egos, like Scott, fleshed out more. Say for instance that he's a staunch patriot, and only drives american cars? or something of the likes :)
Watching A+S rated drivers is always so humbling. I'm only 10hrs into online play, and while it didn't take me long to get an SR of "S", once I reached a DR of "C" the field got a lot more competitive and I'm so far off the pace.
The funny thing is that the Alex Albon account had been played on more recently than the Scott Speed one lol Seems like all the shadow realm entries were here in America lol.
This track really grew on me by doing the 1 hour mission there. Imo, Sainty Croix and BB Raceway are the weirdest tracks of GT7. First feels like a liminal space and the other one is the most unused track in the entire game.
Looked like a fun track with a bunch of smooth quick corners and enough space to play the head to head game of overtaking which is great. I don't really like when tracks force everyone to go single file too much as it kinda gets in the way of competing.
