Because you are already that far I can answer your question on how much stronger Rayleigh was at this time. Dont read further if u dont want to get spoiled not even by a little and you are still before fishman island! Oda mentioned, so far I know, that Rayleigh would have taken down all of the fishmen with his conquerors haki, not only the 50000 that Ruffy got.

I remember that i watched this episode on the bus when i was coming back from school, then a lady sitted on my side, i was using headphones so she couldn't hear anything, but i remember she literally spend the whole drive watching with me without saying a thing, and i knew she was watching cuz when the scene of rayleigh hitting blind luffy happened she tried so hard to not laugh, it was hilarious

This is why OP is the best manga/anime "plotwise". 20+ years running and it is still hard to predict the next chapter. It is deeply rooted with character developments and world building. Action scenes maybe the trend for now due to short attention spans but better writing would always be the best for me.

Rayleigh anduffy have said multiple times that all Luffy learned was the basics. Two years is nowhere near long enough to master any form of haki.

Been watching your reaction since Water 7. It has been a journey. Sabaody post-time skip is the peak of half of the entire one piece, from here till Wano is gonna be a slow burn, especially on Dressrosa. But this is gonna be great.
