The actress who played the daughter was goddamn amazing; her screaming at her father to stay is absolutely heartwrenching.

I hope not only me appreciated the heroism of the Homeless guy not just once, but twice. First, when he covered a cloth to the zombie's head who's attacking Gong Yoo's character, second when he sacrificed his life for the pregnant woman and the little girl. :(( One of my favorite characters in this masterpiece.

Man that final scene between the father and daughter never fails to makes me cry.

Dude if you look back at the kid she’s SUCH a good actor. The way she cried over her dad and sang while being devastated over his death. It’s so well done. Seriously a great actor.

It's so crazy hearing Gong Yoo being referred to as the Squid Game guy (not that it's bad LOL). He's actually one of the biggest names and highly paid actors in Korea. It's very difficult to book him; Gong Yoo only made a cameo as a favor from the director with who he was friends with.

That little girl was amazing. Kids are usually just the death of movies, but she was incredible.

Having the Dads last memories as his body and mind were dying of his daughter. Smiling as he falls to the ground was excruciating.

I love Lupa's "I'm not having fun anymore" face.

12:05 Honestly, it’s nice that the train employee actually stopped sometimes to get warn people, though it was pointless and he also ended up bitten when he stopped to wake someone up.

I enjoy how subtly emotions are conveyed in Korean media. There was no big moment where the father apologizes to his daughter in a big speech. There's just quiet understanding. And they don't exploit the lady's pregnancy to make things more exciting, it goes unsaid that she's vulnerable and should be prioritized.

the near end scene when he's imagining his baby kid always make me tear up, no matter how many times i saw it? saddest zombie movie i've seen.

The song the little girl sings at the end (that she wanted to sing for her dad) is also thematically meaningful too. As it is a famous love and farewell song. It’s called Aloha ʻOe and was written by Queen Lili'uokalani (the last Hawaiian monarch) in 1878. Lili'uokalani intended this to be a love song but it ended up being a farewell song. Her screaming when he has to leave her, making me think of the baby I’m helping to care for. 😭 Also at the end, realizing she is singing the song from Lilo & Stitch. Nani sings it to Lilo in the first movie, then in the Halloween episode of the series, Lilo says she sings it when she’s scared. 💗

I cried watching Train to Busan and now I’m crying watching y’all cry watching Train to Busan lol.. this is legit the best zombie movie ever - the part with him washing his hands from all the blood on them literally right after hearing that his company was at fault for everything really made me appreciate the symbolism in this film. Love how y’all caught so many of the small details.. also, idk if y’all already reacted to it, but Sweet Home is another epic, Korean release !

The real MVP here is the baby because no matter how fast the mother runs the baby is still holding on. That's dedication ....

It’s crazy to think even after all the character growth of the dad and all the visuals (him gaining blood on his shirt in the shape of a heart to symbolize his change, him seeing how he could’ve ended up through seeing the ceo, etc) that the little girl was always the main character. If it weren’t for her the pregnant couple wouldn’t be been saved, the grandmas wouldn’t have been saved, the dad couldn’t have motivation to change and learn to help others, and even at the very end the little girl was the reason they weren’t shot. It follows her storyline and if it weren’t for her so many people were saved (or could’ve been if it weren’t for the ceo). The whole thing is a huge mindfuck when you really sit back and think about it.

I always love this movie and youtube reactions cuz the first act is always "Why isnt anyone doing anything or saying anything" then once the pregnant wife tells macho man to assist, the reactors are like "hell naw get out of there its not your problem lol" making the bystander effect come back full circle.

This was one of the best zombie horror films I had ever watched. Who would had thought that a film like this can get so MANY people emotional? Every single time I watch this movie and see the reactions of people watching this, the ending KILLS me every fucking time. Train to Busan made me cry and be emotional quite a few times and to see ya cry together was amazing! The score was too good as well!

Was crying at the end and then "Rest in peace egg theory" got me laughin like a maniac. My sister thought I was going crazy laughing and crying at the same time.

I appreciate that they recognized the original similarities and then separation that Seok-Woo and Yon-suk share. True Evil: Yon-suk True Good: Sang-Hwa True neutral (main character): Seok-woo This movie followed the perfect formula of showcasing both sides, completely selfish and completely selfless. This gave the main character of Seok-woo the space to explore both sides and evolve as a character, which makes for some of the most interesting and relatable stories and is an excellent way to create an environment for character development.

I can’t believe you guy’s are actually reacting to this. A really good korean drama in Netflix that has to do zombies is Kingdom. It’s one of the best zombie series/movies I’ve watched, just in case you guys want to check it out.

Y'all's fixation on the egg was cracking me up! This has been my number one zombie movie since its release in 2016. I think the magic is in the character arcs. Most zombie movies get so focused on the action, gore, or larger world building, that they lack in proper characters. 'Train To Busan' one gives you beautiful character development & story, along with the action & suspense of a zombie genre film.

So we know Roshi and Lupa getting clapped during Zombie Apocalypse by Sheera lol they wouldn't be actually turning they'll sneeze and she'll be like "I'm not taking any chances" *boom* 🤣

The dad turning and thinking about his daughter gets me every time.

The daughter acting in this movie was so beautiful and the end scene. The father started to pay attention to his daughter later in the end. The end scene was so emotional ❤️🙏🏾

One of the greatest zombie flicks of all time. Me and some friends made an unofficial list of the greatest zombie things ever, and this was #2, beaten only by the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead. A true classic.

I like this movie cuz it’s a good representation of what would happen in a similar scenario, you could prep for literal years for a zombie outbreak, but if you’re in the city when it happens, you’re kinda fucked

So many fond memories of this movie, watching it in the room, sister came in went what cha watching, told her about the movie she sat down, was about 10 mins in, she watched the whole thing with me. When it ended and the credits rolled, she goes wtf! it was in korean!? she was so into the movie she didn't realize she was reading subtitles and it wasn't in english.

This the one movie that no matter who you are the ending will break you. Even Roshi cried, that’s saying something.

In my opinion, this is THE best Zombie movie. It goes a different approach than most other Zombie movies by having a serious plot with actual character development, as opposed to the typical action Zombie movies we get from Hollywood.

After watching Train to Busan for several times. I understand ALL of the characters, ALL of the are afraid and just trying to survive in their own way. We don't know what we will turn out in that kind of situations. Because fear can make even the kindest person into a monster.

Its a Horror movie for sure, but at the same time it tells about humanity, some are selfish, some are selfless, some at first is selfish then became selfless.

The MVPs of this are Sang-hwa (the buff buddy that kicks ass) and the Conductor. Sang-hwa for OBVIOUS reasons, and the Conductor because he did his absolute best to help anyone, even if it meant he'd die. Also the Homeless Dude. Such a sweetie in the end. ;-; Also, Fun Fact, Gong Ji-Chul (AKA Gong Yoo), the actor who plays the main character Seok-woo, was actually born in Busan.

The reason I love this zombie film more than most is because they focused on the main characters transformation. Usually Hollywood makes the badass character the protagonist but with this film the badass is a side character. The protagonist transforms from the selfish businessman to the aspired dad. The scene where the MVP sacrifices himself and the protagonist fighting to open the door from the selfish businessman is basically the complete passing of the torch right there

At the end I was like Sheera and Lupa, crying my eyes of. Ok, it's time for a Kingdom reaction, the best original Netflix zombie show so far, also Korean, also amazing.
