angelina trying and failing to get sober, internal band dynamics were also very strained. Iirc at the end of this tour he told the other guys he needed a break to sober up etc and then he retreated from public life for like 2 years.

One of my favorite Strokes era's. Every song is a banger. The all black looks so good with their grungy pop alternative sound. Plus all their hair is probably at its best at this time. Definetly belong in the "best hair band" category of this century.

The Strokes are pretty good. RHCP had a moment late 80s, peaked about Mothers Milk and Blood Sugar etc had a couple good songs. Otherwise, just pretentious and opinionated sheltered douche nozzles. That kiss each other. I mean wtf kinda man..?!

Thanks for posting this, I was there and it was incredible. Felt odd to see them in blazing sunshine in the middle of the afternoon, also Julian unusually happy compared to every UK show I've seen him do.... but they have cut 2 songs on this broadcast, track 2 was The End Has No End and track 11 was Hard To Explain.
