I wanna say thank you for playing weird team comps, I really love how they make you play unique lines and it keeps the game really interesting. Agent once again proving himself to be the GOAT!
Just gotta say, I don’t even feel close to tired of slice and dice content. Obviously you gotta do what you gotta do content-wise, but I would definitely miss it if it went away.
yeah I had the same realization. I've been trying out myriad hard lately. I track my curse pickrates and in my current 9 streak, out of my 80 offered curses so far, 45.0% are 4pts, 36.3% are 5pts, and 18.8% are 6pts. So on average (granted, this is a pretty small sample size) you see 3.6 4 point curses each set, which is slightly worse than 4 4pt curses, but with the upside of seeing some very playable 5s and 6s like Monster hp^1, add.caw egg, add.thorn, summon.seed, etc which kinda counter balances it I think you can play either honestly, Its not gonna suddenly make hard easy or harder, its about the same tbh. I'm mostly just doing it for some variety after my big winstreak lol it does open up the option for a horrific curse set lowroll I suppose, when I did some testing in custom, one of the sets I got had 7 6pt curses and only 1 4pt curse, but I think that's insane to happen to someone twice lol
That was a stomp, first time I've seen 100+ shield. That's the sauce of strategy roguelikes, right? A good challenge, with room for shenanigans. I think the greats of the genre require the player to break the game, and are balanced around it in the end game. I'd like to see a difficulty like "unfair+" where it's unfair but the fights are scaled up a bit more. More curses like in brutal are too inconsistent to be fun long term (though I may be wrong as we get better) All that said, I think this game really has potential to garner a cult following. It's not an Isaac or an STS, but it's got character and depth. Good vid
are you familiar with the nightmare game mode? it's in the cool game modes, and it lets you take a previous winning run, and you take that run and do 10 more levels which are way harder than the normal game mode. Pretty much sounds exactly like what you are looking for.
If you liked Escape from Tarkov, maybe you could try playing Hunt:Showdown? It's a similar game in many aspects, and (at least from my experience) has much less toxic playerbase.
