@@akkermansia1488 I am wonder if at 1:18:29 Eric can take the pawn on h4 Bg6 Rxe1Rxe1 and Qg5- threating the bishop and also to push h4- if Bh5 or f5 after Bg3 followed by queen takes bishop is a winning advantage, otherwise this h4 is deadly
Woah That's the one! Your game three post game analysis has finally saved me after 2 years. I saw the video of Korley's win a long time ago and had been searching for it but didn't know his name. It was early into when I started playing chess so I couldn't even remember the opening just the bishop pinning the rook and the faux queen sac. Now I have finally found it! Thank you so much, Eric.
Woah, he won against a GM in one move!! Reminds me of when I won against an IM in one move, except I lost horribly in not one move and I got checkmated by castling.
Eric, I love your long videos, it's like crack. Please don't fall into the TikTok short video game at the cost of these wonderful long-form style videos.
I dont get it, GMs and IMs are always like, i won a pawn, the blitz game is basically over, i win, and then proceed to lose material by getting forked or skewered lol, it hardly ever results in a pawn majority=win in blitz
Hi Eric, I thought id say that I would appreciate more videos of rapid games. Videos on of blitz games require lots of focus and there isn't as much time for explanation like there is with rapid. Love the videos though!
So I'm only around 1000 but isn't the best move for black at 16:30 Nxd5? bc the pawn isn't really defended since if Qxd5 Qxc3 forking the king the bishop and the rook after wich the best move imo is Qd2 to block the check and defend the bishop? So 17.exd5 Nxd5 18. Qxd5 Qxc3+ 19. Qd2 Qxa8+ nvm I looked at an analysis and it would be 17.exd5 Nxd5 18. Qxd5 Qxc3+ 19. Ke2 Qxa1 20. Qc6 so the white queen would do the exact same to black
You're comment made me very confused at first but yeah it looks like this is an option for Black though personally I wouldn't go for it just because you're opening up some dangerous stuff whilst the king is still in the centre. Oh also quick note: The notation for a Knight is a N, because the King is K.. I think Kxd5 would be a very bold move in this position lol
Played chess as child. Don't like it, I am working now with your videos every day and I am best amateur in chess club. Love your education on French defense.
