Mahoraga’s full name “Eight-Handed Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga” is so ridiculous and intimidating when I first read the chapter

It’s an innate technique, you aren’t chosen. You’re either born with or without it. The last person they’d pick would be someone from outside the clan, especially the son of Toji. It’s why Toji sold Megumi to the clan in the first place.

The divine dogs are considered one shikigame by the author of jjk.

Hear me out: Sukuna's Rabbit Escape could be a swarm of flesh-eating shadow rabbits and that would be horrifying

Idea on how to make Rabbit Escape useful- summon the rabbits, and hop into one of their shadows. Since all of the shadows are linked it’s basically one massive shadow. Even if the enemy kills dozens of them, they can’t kill them all. Megumi hides in one of the remaining rabbits shadow until it escapes, then steps out when he is in the clear.

Since the hawks and the toads can be combined, I bet the rabbits could be combined with something to make them OP. Imagine if the rabbits were combined with the hawks and you had a hundred electrified rabbits flyings around in a room. That would be quite the nuisance

In defense of “Rabbit escape” it can be really useful as a bluff I mean after seen all these crazy shikigami with absurd abilities you’d at least be a little concerned about an army of rabbits coming your way. Also like with most cursed techniques, this probably improves with more cursed energy, so Megkuna could probably spawn a million or billion on some black sperm level sh*t. Then it could be a threat

Also Megumi can hide in the shadows of others as well, Plus you can also make unstable versions of the shikigami were they retain more shadow like properties making them more malleable but are solid enough to still do damage

Exorcising Mahoraga is best done by someone with a large variety of strong attacks. Meaning that a ten shadows user is really one of the only people with the potential to actually exorcise it because they have a shikigami for about any situation. Special grades really come into two categories: The swiss army knifes with massive variety like Yuta, Geto, and a ten shadows user and the nukes which are simple but broken like Gojo or Yuki.

Might be mistaken but domains are inherent to the soul of the person. So not all ten shadows users have Megumi's Chimera Shadow Garden. Although usually domains work in tandem with the user's curse technique so other user might have something similar but not exactly

This gave me a strange idea... You know how "Ten Shadows Technique" is phrased and named right? 10 Techniques? What if... That's how Sukuna interprets it? Ten ways, he can use, that shadow technique...Notice how Megumi used the TST as these things... I think this is what Sukuna sees and interprets it as: 1. MEDIUM Shadows as a Medium is what often used to create Shikigami. If the Technique is used as a Medium, it explains why Megumi can summon Shikigami, and then use it as other means unrelated to Summoning Shikigami as mentioned in this list... Think about it... It applies to summoning, using a shadow as its medium. Performing a ritual, using shadow as its medium. Cloak oneself in darkness, using shadow as its medium. 2. MANIPULATION Manipulation of Shadows is the basic one. Yet Megumi doesn't use it. Not yet, maybe. He doesn't manipulate shadows like Sukuna did, by manipulating the shadows itself to attack or defend. I believe if you interpret it as one of the "10 techniques" then you might be able to manipulate the shadows as one of the ways to use that technique. Maybe not manipulate it directly, but it is manipulated in different ways. Just not the shadows itself. Megumi did manipulate it to achieve other things as listed here. 3. ENVELOPE Depth of a Shadow is being used by Megumi. To store things into it. Envelop everything within a Shadow because that's how Shadows are perceived by others in different cultures. Some cultures sees Shadow as enveloping or swallowing things in its touch. Just like how Megumi's shadow works. Swallowing Reggie by enveloping him in his shadow that he expanded in a building, with the pool. 4. MIRROR What if you can actually clone anything within your own shadows in TST? We've seen this before. Remember? When Megumi expanded his Domain for the very first time, there were many frogs, and then two of Nue. Not to mention, he shadow cloned himself. Mirroring himself, see? Like a Shadow would mirror you? So... In theory, he can summon an Army of Shadow Divine Dogs, just as Sukuna was able to summon many "incomplete Divine Dogs" to attack. 5. OVERLAP What if you can "Overlap" a shadow and it becomes a "Different Shadow"? That would explain how Megumi would be able to combine 2 different Shadow Shikigami into 1. Seeing how 1 person's shadow can overlap and mixed into another's making a different form of a shadow. So if a different form of a shadow Shikigami were to overlap and mix, a different form of Shikigami can be formed, theoretically, correct? Wouldn't that means that there are ways to summon more than 1 Shikigami? The TST never explicitly say that there are just 10 Shadow Shikigami... Ever noticed that? It's 10 Shadows Technique. It wasn't referring to the Shikigami as many believed... Perhaps, it's this reason why there are more than 1 Shikigami. That unknown "Frog + Nue" variant was never explained. I believe this is the interpretation and the reason why. 6. COMPLETION Shadows depends on the light but in JJK, that can be nullified by simply using Cursed Energy and still uses the shadow. What makes it versatile and perhaps the reason why Sukuna is able to use "Impartial Summoning" or "Partial Summoning" is perhaps the interpretation of "Incomplete Shadow". Meaning that Shadows has different completion of what makes a shadow. Some shadows are complete in shape but faded. Some are completely dark in a bright light. Yet they are all shadows. The completion of shadows has many forms. Perhaps this is why Sukuna is able to interpret it in this way, and thus use the Shadow Shikigami in different forms, due to this interpretation. Incomplete Shadows, Faded Shadows, Dark and Complete Shadows, Small or Big. This in part of manipulation is perhaps the reason why Sukuna thinks it's a wasted talent if not interpreted this way. Since you could make so much forms of Shikigami, and an army of it in combination with the MIRROR interpretation... 7. LINK A shadow can be interpreted as a link. In many ways, link also has many interpretations. As a bridge, connection, etc. In essence, all shadows can be interpreted as a portal... Perhaps that is how Megumi is able to teleport himself below Reggie's shadow out of nowhere. Since his shadow, can act as a portal to other shadows in any direction he perceives or even the whole world. He could set up a travel system however he pleases.

Sukuna used rabbit escape to get high into the air to use max elephant, so I would say it's pretty useful

A correction. I think the adaption starts over every time you summon Mahoraga. Or else he would be adapted to infinity already.

The more unhinged your imagination the stronger the ten shadows cursed technique is. Like I feel like there is very few actual rules to it. Thats why when a certain person uses the technique it isn't just because they have more cursed energy that they use it better but that they are more unhinged in their imagination on how to use it.

Sometimes it feels like cursed spirit manipulation is the older sibling to 10 shadows

Manga spoilers: You never talk about the 10 shadows users being able to summon and use Mahoraga’s wheel to make them immune to whatever attacks they survive. With all the applications that could be used for something like that would make Megumi op. Aging immunity, poisons, energy etc you could theoretically become immune to almost anything

It's specifically outside help, you can include other people that specifically what he did, he included the miracle guy in the summoning ritual it was Sukuna joining in as an outsider to it that invalidated the ritual.

Can you do a video explaining the domain types? Such as innate-amplification? Until now I had trouble understanding what the innate domain was not knowing it was just basically the manifestation of will.

I mean, the rabbits were extremally useful when they were pulled out, simply because of who they were facing at the time. They were turned into basically 1 hit K.O's by someone else's technique because it reversed the forces he could take, meaning the heavier/stronger something was, the lighter the damage was inflicted, so it was essentially a machine gun of fluffy death. In a regular fight, sure, they might be weak, or only used as a distraction, but with the added versatility, to an already absurd kit, it's not bad. Hell, when Sukuna actually used it, it's not just a simple distraction. He blocks an entire field of vision

Mahoraga is literally the embodiment of "git gud".

It’s been hinted at that the inheritor just manifest the ability at random like born with it every few generations in the clan and they automatically get a shikigami and it isn’t always divine dogs. Also he can combine and get more shikigami but maxs at ten total from what I’ve read so he can combine snake into another shikigami and get a new one but it cannot be snake again

Question but spoilers for the anime: In season 2, “Thunderclap pt2”, before sukuna begins his fight with Mahoraga, he approaches the unconscious Megumi and says “Suspended Animation,huh?” It’s never touched on again but it sounded like a really important aspect of the TST subjugation ritual. What do you think he meant by that?

the rabbits is underestimated, sukuna literally won his fight cause rabbits were so annoying, also all shadow get stronger based on the CE output which he says at the start his CE isnt where it needs to be for his technique. after the sukuna stuff though im sure thats not the case anymore lol

A bit of a correction on the Mahoraga segment, it doesn’t become immune to things upon being hit. When he’s hit, the Dharma wheel above his head turns and he adapts, becoming better at countering it and the amount of spins it takes to be able to neg the technique it’s fighting against depends on its complexity. Against Sukuna, maho only had to be hit twice to fully adapt to Cleave/dismantle. While against Gojo, he had to be hit by five domain explanations, some of which lasted upwards of three minutes and only then was he able to destroy Gojo’s domain.

Haven't finished watching the video but I hope he talks about how different users of 10 shadows can use the technique in different ways compared to the interpretations of different users. Spoilers* (How Sukuna uses Divine Dogs vs How Megumi uses Divine Dogs)

I've always theorized that Mahoraga has some sort of built-in weakness that only the ten shadows Shikigami can exploit cuz no shot you telling me I gotta fight a pseudo god with two wolves, a frog, a bird, a snake, a elephant, a deer, a bull, and some fucking rabbits.

Good video but the dogs count as one. There’s only one we haven’t seen before summon itself and that’s tiger funeral. That’s the ninth shadow if I’m not mistaken.Sukuna combined I think four shadows into one and that’s when we got the name.

OK but rabbit escape is useful if you consider the fact that cursed technique is kept at least somewhat secret. Your enemy wouldn't instantly know if they can do anything or not. They could definitely effect a fight if used intelligently

Chimera Shadow Garden feels a lot more like a reality marble from Fate than the other domain expansions we’ve seen, most of which were designed to force their attacks to hit.

Question A shadow user can use any shadow to teleport right? Don’t most shadow beasts create shadows? If so then the rabbit technique creates a lot of potential teleport locations. I could be wrong about that though.

Correction. Everything that falls into Megumi's shadow adds weight to himself. So yeah an opponent can fall "endlessly" into uis shadow but that will cost him mobility if their are other opponents. Also,as per recent chapters, shikigami aren't like regular cursed, since they are conjured through the conjureres cursed energy

Shikigami are not curses, coz if they were then Mahoraga would've imploded from the Sword of Extermination on his arm which is filled with positive energy
