I reverted to islam because of Sheik Hamza Yusuf. Masha'Allah

I've met Shaykh Hamzah a number of times. He is a great man, mashAllah. He is someone who traveled during his youth to acquire spiritual knowledge for the sake of Allah. And during his travels he undergone many trials and tribulations, much pain and in some instances was on the verge of death. And out of this experience he emerged as a wise and a good man that is trying to heal the hearts of people. You get what you put in, and he put everything in. If you want to be a scholars who is truly a man or woman of God then you will experience much pain. The pain is God's way of training you on how to turn to God alone in order to overcome that pain. We all carry this pain in us, it is the nature of the material self. So knowledge is born out of overcoming the material delusion of the world and experiencing Allah directly.

These people like go in depth on a topic that is so simple. They like insult you in an intellectual way. These people are the only counter to killers and even women. The people asking “are you calling me an animal?” He would respond with “I’m not necessarily calling you an animal but what I’m saying, if you payed attention, was you have potential to become an animal and be considered one. No one would argue against a lecturer like this not even murderers, terrorists, or rapists. There shouldn’t be a struggle with oneself, to be honest everything should be planned. Outside struggles should be rare, let alone an internal struggle. It does happen to untrained or unlearned people though. Only Ignorant people.
