We have lots of huge quick connect hydro lines to connect on cranes. Leave the equipment off, then on the male side take a big flat screwdriver and push in on the fitting letting some pressure in the line to leak out. Hose will go straight on. And we do some that are 4” or bigger.

Nothing like cold lessons to learn :)

I've helped guys get those hydrologics hooked up before, I've only ever been able to get one on before they get the rest.

To ease the pressure cut it off and worker the door pedal left and right 10x each

You have pressure in the lines one way to avoid. This is shut down the machine properly and disengage auxiliary hydraulics next just crack the fitting open with two pairs of pliers on the hose side to relieve the pressure and it will slide on.

Cold weather !

Those effing connectors are so tight sometimes. Unit off bleed joystick hydraulics helps, kinda..

Gotta release the pressure from in the implement with the engine off when you take it off or they become tight as hell

You have to relieve the pressure from the hydraulic lines. It will go in at all easier.

Drain the hose a little

I don't miss that one bit hated putting on hydro lines

I have a 4 year old pig named Bella and I plan to not eat her even tho I love pork I still love my animals and want to spend every last minute with them

There’s a hydraulic line clamp that helps hook that line up really easily. Worth the $20
