I haven't been out plowing snow for a month now, because of this.
So I can't wait for next year and hope for some warmer weather and for days to be brighter aswell.

yeah, we have the same issues in Canada! Although I'm in south eastern Canada, not as close to the Arctic, it can reach temps of -41 Celsius here though. What I do during the winter to keep my old polaris firing up good is store it in garage or sheltered area, run it on a mix of 50/50 high octane low octane fuel for the winter months (my bike is carburated, might not be necessary for you with Efi) , and watch the weather forecast, day before snow is called for I put the battery on a little trickle charger overnight & next morning I go out and it usually starts fairly smooth, I do gotta choke it a bit but then it will run like a top.

I actually had big plans for building a garage for my atv before winter last summer, but it didn't goes as plan. Mostly to keep it out of the snow but also helping against the frost. That is not a bad idea to keep the battery charged up before every time you go out plowing. And -41c is just too cold, we doesn't get that cold here but can reach -30c some years.

Yes a battery will solve the problem also a trickle charger is also a good idea you can just leave it plugged in all the time

Yes would be actually great to have a trickle charger plugged in all time, then the battery will last.

Its the battery mine failed on my cforce after 2 years. I bought Biltema 30ah agm for motorcycles

I was actually thinking about buying Biltema 30A battery, but they didn't have any in stock in my city.

Cold days are tough on batteries and any kind of equipment for use outdoors! Let us hope you will have warmer weather soon as it starts to get brighter as well:)

Hi there, looks like new battery is needed , i charge my battery on my uforce 800 often in winter and much snow plowing, the winch take alot of power on that machine, the cforce 625 never a issue

I really hope it is only the battery, another said it could also be the starter. But we will find out next time I will go out trying again 🙂 Yes the winch use a lot of power so I try always to let it run for a while before I park it.

Thanks, I also think it was the battery that is dead. I was really supposed to plow the snow we got before it got too cold and it got harder. But we have been very cold throughout December so the few times I haven't been able to start it. Usually have a rule not to plow if it's colder than -10, mostly to save the engine. But we'll see when I get the plow now in January, the coldest month we have hehe.

Byttet nylig batteri på min zforce 800 2018, den startet kvikt opp:) kulden er tøff på batteriene her oppe

Første gang du har byttet batteriet på den? Jeg måtte skifte min originale etter bare 1 mnd fra den var ny, men nå har den faktisk holdt i 5 år. Ja kulda ødelegger raskt batteriene her 🙂

første gang jeg bytter på 6 år ja :) har slitt tidligere med start ettersom jeg kun benytter den til brøyting så en dasj isoproponol årlig når den har vært tungstartet har hjulpet. Men jeg merker at et nytt batteri hjalp sårt, jeg hentet på biltema til 1600.- (y) @@ArcticExploring

@@nikkox94 Ja brøyting går hardt utover batteriet og ihvertfall med kulda i tillegg. Jeg merket selv i sommer at jeg fikk problemer med å starte å tenkte det var bare en ventiljustering eller noe. Men som jeg ser nå var det batteriet. Jeg betalte 2000,- med rabatt på batteriservice rett før jul, og får jeg når jeg kobler den på (venter på varmere vær) hehe

@@nikkox94 Jeg vurderte faktisk biltema batteri også, men dem hadde ikke på lager da jeg kjøpte også tenkte jeg at det ikke var så mye å spare. Ja jeg håper på varmere vær i morgen, skal få brøytet litt her da hvis alt går etter planen. Også er jeg misunnelig på søringan som har fått mye snø hehe

Jag brukar ladda mitt MC-batteri en gång i månaden ungefär under vintern. Kyla och dåligt laddade batterier är ingen bra kombination., Men fyra timmar låter som kort tid att ladda?

Jeg hører også at veldig mange med atv ladder batteriet 1 gang pr måned for å vedlikeholde batteriet gjennom kulda. Jeg kjøpte 8 Amp ladder hos Biltema, og batteriet er bare 30 Amp, så da skulle mattestykket være riktig har jeg fått høre.

@@ArcticExploring Jag har en liten CTEK laddare, den laddar 0,8A 🤔 det är lite skillnad 😂 den behöver fler timmar. Men den kan även underhållsladda,

@@JoonesAdventuresMC Hehe ja det var en stor forskjell. Men jeg har hørt mye godt om Biltema sine, så derfor jeg kjøpte en der i vinter. Koster ikke mye heller.
