Beautiful painting. Great composition. Great bar. That's a bar I want to have a drink in. Morandi would be very proud of the bottles. You have a very nice rhythm in your strokes. Very precise, thoughtful, joyful.

Great painting. Really enjoyed the video and your honesty about the process. A trick for not getting caught of in the details of elements like the bottles..........blur your photo in Procreate or Lightroom, etc. That way you only see the shapes and values.

Thank you! What’s funny is the reference photo of the bottles was very pixelated so details were minimal but I still caught myself at the beginning being too “precise”

When I saw the colour of the background I remembered a similar painting I had struggled with, fighting the background colour and having to drastically compensate in some of the mixes. By the way are you diluting with just linseed or with some gamsol or similar? Love you smooth application ! ❤

In the beginning I used linseed oil and sometimes I’ll use a fast drying medium! But those are the only 2 things I ever use when painting

@@artfromfran OK , big thanks. Just a bit unsure about the ratio of oil to paint. And of course the smell and toxicity of mineral spirits always an of putting factor. ❤
