Nice to have a "real" interview for a change rather than the canned ones we usually get in kpop so thanks Grace and Miryo. I also get the impression that for idols the hardships and worry's they go through never go away no matter how successful they become they just change and evolve into different ones, I'd say just surviving no matter what is an accomplishment in itself and chasing some goal never really works out even if you achieve it, it's the journey that tells your story and makes you who you are not the destination, regret nothing Miryo!

When Miryo said she didn’t know what she wanted in life and didn’t have a dream, I started crying. Just the way she said it kinda broke my heart and the fact someone like her, whom I consider to be an accomplished artist, feels like that.....I don’t know. I guess you really can never judge a book by its cover. BTW, I love seeing this side of Miryo. She’s adorable and I can’t wait for BEG’s comeback!!!

yari139 I agree, I was so sad. Yes, she reached huge amount of fame back then but SK are so obsessed with ages. If you’re not young and in your early 20’s you don’t really exist. Her solo music has been great, but a lot of people won’t even give it a chance.

it is very hard to be number 1. she needs a hit song and all the taymeil whatever the hateful comments calling her retired and old will stop. if she didn't reveal her age she looks as young as any idol right now. but you can tell when she speaks she has so much more maturity and shes not afraid to say what she thinks whereas young idol girl group members now can only bow and smile cause if they say anything or do anything it would like cause headlines everywhere on koreaboo sites

popcorn pop why are you assuming it's knetz saying it? her music is uploaded on youtube. it could be anyone from all over the world who don't use honorifics. people's birth year will be revealed just like everyone knows how old celine dion and taylor swift is. even if celine dion is talented everyone still knows her from her hits decades ago and not anything present. and she has older fans who would pay to go see her. in this industry you have to stand out and make hits or else no matter how old or how young you are you won't be able to gain popularity

Miranda Stephens the mv with the car was Brave New World. I’ve been into kpop since 1999 so I have seen many kpop artists come and go and debut. BEG was always one of my favorite girl groups.

I didnt know about it growing up until 2009 when i was roughly 15/16yrs old when i came from camp and my cousin showed me suju,tvxq and shinee on youtube lol. Before then i never heard of kpop like AT ALL! Well besides for big bang winning i think it was either kids choice awards or teen choice. Im not sure what year that was though...

Miryo is a part of the only gg to reach the 10 yr Mark with ALL 4 members. Plus they’re one of the most iconic 🖤 BEG did so much for kpop & Miryo did so much for female idol rappers! You’re so lucky to know her & have this happen! Love you & thank you for the amazing content!

I love BEG. They're one of the very few Kpop groups that were formed organically (the leader recruited the members herself), and they worked so incredibly hard in their early days to gain acknowledgement. I still listen to their debut albums to this day, so I'm super stoked that they're still together and going strong.

I like this more mature Miryo unnie a lot! I think is a shame that the companies waste the talent of veteran artists, as a fan of SuJu, seeing their experience while performing and making new music is completely different than less experienced groups! While are on stage you can feel the stage presence, the same goes for this girls! I remember those years of Kpop when BEG was the badass girl group, kicking all the Korean standards for female idols, because of their age, style, and concepts. I hope BEG or any of the members doesn't feel intimidated by new groups, and just make the music they want, so that way we can see their talent again. Thanks to K-pop is being more global, I think they can go farther now.

As someone who totally binged on all 3 seasons of Unpretty Rapstar, I didn't have an entirely positive impression of Miryo b/c of what happened with Euna Kim. After watching this interview, my opinion has completely been changed. Not only did her apology sound incredibly genuine, but she also seems to have matured into such a classy lady. All of my love goes out to Miryo & of course Grace

yeah Miryo made a mistake and she realized that, but other than that i really love her attitude in UR3, even though she is a veteran and has the most experience, she never talked bad about other contestants, she measured her competitor/contestant based on their skill and potential. She did not give a bad bitch vibe (like what MNET loves) even though she totally capable of it (BEG is known as a badass female group). I still remember she jokingly said her disadvantage compared to Nada was breast size 😂

I love Miryo eonnie she’s actually kind of before my time (me growing up knowing Shinee, GG, SUJU, and then getting into the EXO generation) but when I learned about BEG, I realized that they helped kpop grow and spread. They’re one of the greats. Also Abracadabra is a great wake up song lmao. Old but gold. Also...BEG ALBUM??!!! WE LOVE RELEVANT WOMEN. WE LOVE TALENT. WE LOVE OUR QUEENS. I feel bad for Miryo eonnie though. I can’t imagine what her position is like now. Obviously she’s still relevant, and still involved in the kpop/entertainment scene. But part of me is like “don’t worry! Relax! You’ve done so much already.” But the other part of me is like “yes! Go out and find something you’re passionate about!” I genuinely hope that she finds herself happy and content in the near future.

Wow I didn't really know Miryo except that I had heard she was like a big artist, I thought she would be scary but she seems so sweet. This is my favourite interview to an artist I follow, Miryo and you are so comfortable that she telling us never-told stories of her life and the most important part IMHO: how frank she is talking about things she said or did in the past and how she has reflected and learned about it, I love discovering Miryo's ability to look inside herself, her introspection really surprised me, that's why this interview made me decide to officially stan Brown Eyed Girls a year ago.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video, Grace. I find everything Miryo said admireable, even the part she admits that she was greedy. If anyone has anything against her, I feel like they would change their mind if they watch this, unless of course they're dumb. This video made me realize that I should find my dream while I'm still young. I almost cried watching that part. People will say this and that like literally people are like those serial show or news reporter. They will just find a way to drag the famous one. But one can ignore all those malicious and hatred comments and just live their own life. We aren't born to live for others. I was so happy to hear her say "I'm still young and beautiful" because that's the *TRUTH* and Korean/internet culture too often convinces women otherwise. Miryo has had such a huge impact, on kpop and also on attitudes toward and depictions of women in Korean culture in general. The fact that she has done all that and is still so young is straight-up incredible. I hope she knows that.

Miryo is just this legendary female rapper that I looked up too when I was growing up back in the 00s and I used to dance to Abracadra a looot and Grace is just this adorable yet fierce lady who just hELLO. WHERE DID YOU COME FROM? HOW DID YOU GET INTO MY LIFE? And I watched all of her videos and I wish nothing but the best for Grace 언닝~♡

Brown Eyed Girls is my number 1 girl group of all time. I live and breathe on their music videos STILL and am so inspired by their talent, hard work and creativity. I can relate to Miryo because im 17 turning 18 just finished school and I'm at a point of what the hell am I supposed to do now. All my other friends are either going to university or preparing themselves for there career and im here like a fish out of water. I used to love art and thought about being an art teacher and then suddenly in my last year of school I completely lost interest in art itself. I feel like I have absolutely no skills and I blame myself for not being interested in anything. I'm literally a mess and it haunts me everyday that I'm running out of time.

Omg I'm living for when she speaks English! She such a sweet person but had a lot of internal conflicts which is so hard to deal with. I feel what she feels. I also don't know what i want to do I prat 2019 we both can figure out what we want to have plan for our future and to find a new dream a new purpose in our lives. Fighting Miryo!!!!

Great interview. I've always felt that Miryo was one of the best girl group female rappers. Almost all girl groups have a rapper or two now, but when BEG debut it was not very common. I think she can take some credit for helping to inspire that trend in the Kpop industry.

Why nobody’s talking about it? Miryo is smiling and pretending that it is not a big deal but omg what saddens she must be feeling in her life right now. When you are just living day by day without purpose, without your own family, alone. I’m talking about things she said after “can I be honest with you grace?” You can simply loose will to live, it’s not like she has a stable job like most adults. When she’s saying that she don’t know what she wants to do or what she can do it’s so sad because it shows that she is really tired of searching. Maybe I sound like I’m making up some theories but I’m going through something similar...

I didn’t know much about her or brown eyed girls besides that they were one of the og girl groups and were queens, but after this interview I’m def going to check out some more of their stuff & I am supporting Miryo and them in the future now! For those who's still confused about your life, well dont be too harsh to yourself.sometimes we get something nice like good high rank in school, good job or even lovely relationship n then changed into losing job, broken heart or even drop out from such education, that's okay, it's normal.that's the life.we only must remember that everytime we feel everything is great, just be humble coz we never know when the dark time comes.n when the dark time comes, dont be sad n depressed, just get up n try your best to be back to the bright side again.just think that there'll be a beautiful rainbow emerged after the rain.so, let's be positive n optimistic in our lives.

This comment is a bit late but I think it's ok to not know what you want and to not have a dream. I think that wanting to find your dream or next big goal is also a valid "what you want to do with your life." For a really long time I was really jealous of people who had dreams and aspirations, whether or not those goals were considered realistic. But I now I really believe that different people have their own pace. I hope that Miryo and anyone who felt the same way either found a new path or feels less pressured to dream.

I relate to Miryo a lot. I hope she knows she’s not alone in not finding her place at a certain age. We have the habit of looking at other people and be envious of how comfortable they are in their own sky and life, but there are a lot of people who struggle. Thanks for the interview. I think it showed a precious side of Miryo.
