Picked mine up a month before this video came out. Believe Dagan when he says it’s remarkable and fun to play. I main with a Slash Les Paul and wanted a double cut. This thing felt right at home. Comfortable neck, AMAZING QUALITY and tones. Buy it now. You’ll love it!
I sold my Gibson Les Paul Traditional to get more of these. The PRS pattern vintage neck is SO close to the dimensions of the Les Paul’s ‘59 rounded profile, which I always found so comfortable. These guitars are next level for the price. We need more PRS SEs with this neck profile. Great review!
Ive got the blue version of this guitar and it is my favorite guitar that ive ever owned/played. My next favorite is also a prs and it is the dgt. Im now a huge prs fan.
You didn't mention the special sauce..the 594 part of the name. 5.94 was the scale length of a certain run of 58 or 59 Les Pauls. To me that looser feel it gives adds so much. Especially when string it with a set of nickels
I'm seriously considering picking one up. They come strung with light gauge (10 on the high E string). I do a lot of bending - Do you recommend keeping the 10's on there or moving to extra light (9 gauge for high E) which I have on my Strat, Tele and Les Paul. I'm used to the extra lights but if the tone will be better on the 594 with the lights, I'm open to going with that.
@@dowaliby1 I think at the moment it's strung with a custom set of Stringjoy Broadway pure nickel 10 - 46, which I quite like the tone and feel off. If you're more at home with a lighter feel, I'd suggest a hybrid set like a 9.5 - 46
Sounds great! I like PRS guitars. I hope one day this one is available left-handed, though, because I’d rather have the tune-o-matic style hardtail bridge instead of the Custom 24’s floating tremolo.
These went down to $750 recently and I regret buying my standard 24 se so much when I could’ve waited for these instead bc I bought mine for the same price.
Hi Dagan, new sub here. You sound incredible on that beautiful axe! Just curious, are you playing with the strings that come stock on the guitar (10 on the high E string), or did you change the strings to extra light (9 high E string)?
I absolutely love mine! I’ve own 3 Les Paul’s but if I’m paying 3,000 or more on a guitar that the g string can’t stay in tune or the guitar in general nah I’m good! PRS makes way better guitars then les Paul’s way better qc control on the prs se models all the way up the American made ones
I know what you mean, I have owned several Gibson Les Pauls and they would not hold tune no matter what I did. I'm going to get one of these SE McCarty 594 within the next few months. Seems like they are an incredible deal for the money.
Dagan demos guitars the way they are meant to be played, and why we buy them. Unlike the videos where the player plays "Mr. Sandman" to promo a rockin' instrument. Would you buy a Porsche 911 based on a video of some guy driving it at 10 mph in a parking lot?
