I wasn't even born as yet.. Grew up with the Stylistics playing sundays in my late mom's kitchen I'm 53 n up till 2day when I'm driving a still play it especially my heart was my mom's favorite 2 n it reminds me about her .. All the way from South Africa.. The mother city Cape Town 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Yup! I’ve heard it on the radio so many times and it gives me an oddly nostalgic feeling, even though I don’t recall having listened to it as a kid. I most commonly heard it the past 3 times I’ve visited my grandma in North Carolina (I’m in Pennsylvania). Just gives me a fuzzy feeling. Finally decided to add it to my playlist
I’m a 96 baby but this is what brought me up and has made a home in my heart! Forever and always! This song is on my top 10 ! Here in 2022/09/22 all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦
Awe.....People forget that us as south african grew up with songs like this....and like you saying, u grew up since 96 with it......for me it started in 85.....and it great to know that you appreciate good music
This music is the way to my heart ❤️ I’m only 23 and most people would say this music is way before me or that I’m an old soul but this music is so heartwarming and beautiful! Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Ooh whaaa, Ooh whaaa My heart, there's so much love in my heart. My heart, there's so much love in my heart. My heart is hurting inside, everytime I think about you. All the things we used to do, It's not the same anymore. My heart is longing for you, I've gotten used to you. We belong you and me together, a love so easy so smooth. Oh I must be strong, try and leave you alone. So i can get myself together. I believe in the end we can be real good friends. My love is not going anywhere. My heart is aching for you. Just can't shake this empty feeling. Time alone it will tell, I wish you well, you're so dear to me. My heart, there's so much love in my heart. My heart, there's so much love in my heart. Oh I must be strong, try and leave you alone. So i can get myself together. I believe in the end we can be real good friends. My love is not going anywhere. My heart is hurting inside everytime i think about you. All the things we used to do, it's not the same anymore. My heart, there's so much love in my heart. My heart, there's so much love in my heart.
I will always love Russell Thomas Jr voice ,his singing,,all the songs ,music everthig about the stylistic. I saw them in the very early 70's,in Chicago
Some of the best songs from my youth years. I'm grateful to have grown up during the time I did. Awesome music! I can listen to this music over and over and over and over again ×100.

Russell has the prettiest voice.. I've listened to The Stylistics since the 70s the original group was always on point. I'm glad I can come on RU-vid to reminisce with the music of my tender days...Thank you so much.
Great, great track from their album "1982". This album and the two that preceded it, "Hurry Up This Way Again", and "Closer Than Close" are full of some great tunes. Such a shame these joints weren't fully embraced by the public. Stylistics on point.
bought the album in 1982 in Saudi Arabia, listened to it constantly whilst working off shore as a diver. Still love the album after all these years. I just wish that when the Stylistics visit Liverpool (England), they would sing some songs off this album.
Russell Thompkins Jr lead singer for 33 years is still touring with his Russell Thompkins Jr and New Stylistics...catch them in concert...or watch their concerts and these exact songs on you tube.
Still the best. Miss my brother Aboo baker Haroon everytime I here this song. We both love the track. May Allah give him paradise and peace in his grave
i've been thinking the same thing from the first time i heard this song when it was being played on New York R&B radio stations in 1982 sometime in the fall of that year.
Great Love Song That Was Never Played Enough When It Came Out! Not One Of The More Popular Songs By The Stylistics, But Still A Great Song! Thank God For Spotify!
Heard this song playing in the men's restroom at Louisiana Bistreaux in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia tonight. Had to Shazam it and now I'm here. First time hearing it. Good song.
First time hearing this song today sitting in a pizza hut in Salem Oregon for lunch and this beautiful melody was playing over the Airways, I knew the Voice but not the Song, I googled it, I found it😳
Is it just me, or does this song bring back memories of the Peter Paul Mellow Magic show in NYC? I remember how Peter Paul used to "rap" over the instrumental part of this song. He was the man!!
Showing pictures of the 5 of the them.....wrong! This album and this song from 1982...James Dunn and James Smith both quit group in 1978 and 79. Then Raymond Johnson who played quitar for the group stepped in to take their place in 1980. Making the 1982 album with the group : Russell Thompkins jr lead singer...Raymond Johnson ( who still sings with Russell's. New Stylistics today 2021) and Airion Love, and Herb Murrel.
