Greetings and Love from Germany. Great reaction, guys. Campino, singer of Toten Hosen, is half german and half british. He lived as a kid by his mum, she's born in the UK, in Liverpool. At this time Punk startet to become a thing in the UK, his second passion is football/soccer/Fußball. That leads me to this performence of Campino with an actualy real broken foot. Well, that was infact just a stupid fail on his own fault. 1 or 2 weeks before their gig as headliner at 'Rock Am Ring'. (Mega Festival, nearly big as 'Wacken'). The Toten Hosen singer broke his foot out of anger at his favorite club Liverpool FC's elimination from the Champions League. A well-aimed, hard kick with the full instep against a public garbage can should express his disappointment at his team's failure. The doc just said: "..it's broken. And a NoGo for a 2,5 - 3 hour live performence at 'RaR' ". Guess Campino's decision...right, he said 'Fack It' ..i'll be there'. Great band with an awesome history and an amazing frontman. He also sounds great when he's singing in englisch. They play great covers of, for example, "Guns Of Brixton" from 'The Clash'. But they have some own songs aswell. "Pushed Again" is great. This is Matt. Thank you so much for the insight to the band and injury. I am of German Descent and was in Munich for a visit in 2021. You have a beautiful country. On our latest weekly Podcast (titled Strong and Fast) we discussed possibly going to Wacken next year. Unfortunately, we would miss Maiden this year.
