The thing about Harley that most movie writers forget, she has a PhD in psychology, she's not dumb, she plays (played) dumb because that's what the joker wanted.

I can't believe people didn't mention this, but Margot Robbie has experience with trapeze and acrobatics. So the scene where Harley took the keys in her toes and unlocked her chains was all her and done in one take. Amazing

@@funnylilgalreacts fun fact the first DC character I remember Nathan Fillion playing was Vigilante in the Justice League Unlimited animated series from 05. He would later voice other DC characters in animated movies most notably Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern and Steve Trevor.

I would recommend Christopher nolan's batman trilogy(three movies) 1-batman begins(2005) 2-the dark knight(2008) 3-the dark knight rises(2012)

Also, it didn’t seems like you hated Peacemaker like a lot of people did just because he killed Rick Flag. Peacemaker gets too much hate for killing Rick flag, he didn't wanted to kill Flag, you can see it in his eyes and before the building fell on them he called him a hero and that he didn’t wanted to do it and Flag would have killed him, he almost did. Peacemaker had a mission and a bomb in his head, he had to attempt to keep that information from getting out. I love how three dimensional his character is and you need to watch his tv show, it’s amazing!

I’m watching Peacemaker now. I adore John Cena as Peacemaker. I wasn’t happy about him killing Rick Flag, but John’s acting in that moment sold me on Peacemaker. After watching the first two episodes of the show, I can see why he is the way he is. But he’s a delight!

@@funnylilgalreacts Yes, i already have seen your three videos reacting to the first three episodes and I am liking it. For me a lot of people that hated Peacemaker in TSS is not fair. Peacemaker gets too much hate for killing Rick flag, he didn't wanted to kill Flag, you can see it in his eyes and before the building fell on them he called him a hero and that he didn’t wanted to do it, but Flag would have killed him, he almost did. Peacemaker had a mission and a bomb in his head, he had to attempt to keep that information from getting out. And yes, I never liked John Cena as an actor but this is by far his best acting performance, he surprised me so much. My rating in this show is a 9/10. Great acting, storytelling, cinematography and score, it fulfilled every filmmaking aspect.

The animated flower scene serves as a visual representation of how Quinn herself sees the world and her actions within it. On another note, Starro was the first antagonist the Justice League of America fought in Brave and Bold 28 way back in 1960.

Ohhh YES this is one of the best superhero movie of all time imo James Gunn really knocked it out if the park here-- you can say ANY character is your favourite and it would be totally justified-- he gave them all so much depth and emotion it's incredible. Loved Ratcatcher and Bloodsport's father-daughter style relationship John Cena was perfectly cast as Peacemaker. Hope you'll consider reacting to the Peacemaker TV series next.

The distinction is that the 2016 film is Suicide Squad, whereas the 2021 film is _The_ Suicide Squad.

This movie is my all time favorite since I watched it at the theaters! Harley Quinn is my favorite DC character! And you're right! Margot Robbie is a perfect human being!

a lot of people have described this as being "somewhere between a sequel and a reboot" to the 2016 movie, but really, it's just a direct sequel. it follows several of the same characters (Harley, Flag, Waller, Boomerang--briefly), and is the same general premise, set in the same universe, later in the timeline. and characters from the first movie remember each other in this one. sequel. Peacemaker (the show) also directly references events from that movie in one episode. Gunn did a great job of honoring and enhancing the best parts of that movie, while sidestepping, but not reconning or trashing the worse parts. and, yes, Peacemaker was written and largely directed by Gunn. and it's fantastic.

I feel that was why the movie didn't do well. The title alone was just "THE Suicide Squad" and not "2" or "Returns" or whatever. So it left casual people confused. Also, the 2016 movie wasn't well received despite making money, and when you get burned out from an awful movie, you don't wanna go back. (When we saw it, me, my sister and dad were literally the only people in the theaters. Which was so unfortunate. Same with Into the Spider-Verse. And what both films have in common is that we walked out with tears of joy.)

James Gunn did write the Peacemaker show and directed at least six episodes of it. It’s been great so far.

Enjoy the react and breakdown by character! It's a sequel, not a reboot as some want it to be. It's consistent with the canon from the comics in that Task Force X is assigned secretive, undercover missions for the gov't by Waller. The lineup of villains is in constant flux w/ members like Cpt. Boomerang, Dead Shot, Harley, etc being somewhat consistent. Shame that Gunn had to off Boomer, though -- felt that one.

It’s a sequel/reboot. It accepts the first one happens even though WB wishes it doesn’t. That was called “Suicide Squad”. This one is “THE Suicide Squad”

Joel Kinnaman has always been a miss for me, until this movie. But his best work IMO is the first season of Altered Carbon. I highly suggest you take a look at that Netflix series. Amazingly done, and so cool to watch. It's a Sci-Fi show set in the distant future, and each season (although related to each other) stands as as individual work.

Not sure what WB would call this movie, but I call it a soft reboot. The prior movies are inconsequential to the storyline, but share key primary characters and concepts. That’s my take and I’m sticking to it. Another awesome reactioneering post, 4 out of 4 super fresh record👍. Stay awesome!!!

Great reaction, James Gunn did such an amazing job! Would really like to see you react to Baby Driver, Edgar Wright does an incredible job with that film as well. Then the big ask, The Expanse. Political drama with space ships. Probably one of the best shows in the last couple decades. Currently "ended" with season 6, but fans saved it once already.

Yes Margot Robbie is very attractive, but you're pretty easy on the eyes as well. As far as this movie goes, it's what happens when a DC movie gets the Marvel treatment. And rather than just focusing on one or two characters, they actually flesh out everyone in the principal cast.

Hopefully, at some point, HBO Max will release The Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad and we'll finally see David Ayer's original version of the movie just like we did for Zack Snyder's Justice League.
