Frrr listen I loved this series, but let's be real, Belly is too selfish 💀 she led Cameron on KNOWING she wasn't truly over Conrad and that's not right. I love how they pointed out Conrad wasting Nicole's time, but what about Belly? She wasted Cam's time too and yet we're just gonna skip over how selfish she was being? Yeah she's 16, but that's just an excuse lol it was just so aggravating bc Cameron deserved better. The only reason she didn't ask Cam to the ball was bc OF CONRAD. Cam asked her about her possible crush on Jeremiah at Nicole's party and Belly litterly said "You mean Conrad?" She admitted it basically and yet she continued to lead Cam on and act like the victim 🙃 and don't even get me started on poor Nicole. But nope, she completely forgot about Nicole's feelings and just planned on getting with Conrad anyway 🤡🙄 I'm glad they depicted her as imperfect, but she never took much accountability for her actions and I hope next season she does. Nicole was right - Belly was being a fuckgirl and playing with alot of hearts 😅
Nicole wasn’t her friend. Belly had no obligation to step aside for her. But it was messed up that every time Nicole asked if something was up with Conrad or if he liked her, she would affirm the latter, and minimize the former.

For the first 20 or so years a person is alive, everything moves SO fast and even a year difference between people can be huge. In this instance, we’re talking about a girl who isn’t even a junior yet being strung along by a near college student, which is just such a weird age difference to be in because they’re such different stages of life and your brain develops so much within those two years

The only defense people have to be Team Conrad is that Jeremiah cheats on Belly in the books. But I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again. Jenny wanted Jelly to date before Belly went back to Conrad, but probably found herself wondering why Belly would ever go back to Conrad when she is in a two year relationship with Jeremiah, who time and time again puts Belly first and isn’t even pressuring her to have sex with him even though we know he is ran through himself. The only reason she could think of would be for him to cheat on her. Conrad is in love with Belly, no doubt, but love and nostalgia is not enough to make a healthy relationship. Sure he was going through things, but he could’ve just clearly let her down or said they couldn’t be together instead of leading her on and giving her mixed signals the whole summer. Season 1 Jeremiah is definitely better than Conrad which is why people keep bringing up the books. What has really bothered me about Conrad and not many people have pointed it out is that he literally never had feeling feelings for belly. sure he had a soft spot for her when they were kids but he stated he always saw her as a little kid and now cause she’s older and what “prettier” that he now likes her. Meanwhile jere said he has always liked her or loved her but just waited for her cause he felt Conrad had been in the way. All of the flash backs of Conrad and belly you could tell she liked him. so I felt that jere could sense that too which is maybe why he didn’t do much to show how much he liked her till recently when he couldn’t keep it in anymore.

However, even if he is 17 with a late birthday, he's going to be 18 shortly, so I don't know, I think it's that fact coupled with the way that he openly admits he always saw Belly as a kid that gives me a weird feeling and makes me not want a relationship to happen between them lol, I hope that made sense.

The age difference between Belly and Conrad doesn't bother me because they literally could have been in HS together so it's an okay gap for me. However, everything else irks me. It's not love it's infatuation and she's messy with two brothers with zero remorse. I'm also really sick of the brooding love interests just in general. Conrad without the Belly angle is actually a really great character and Belly without Conrad is actually a better character too. I'm Team Jeremiah, but he deserves better than her. Istg series made me feel so old because I just know that my 16/17 year old self would eat this up and have no complaints. But now, like it’s pretty good but I can easily spot the red flags, the inconsistencies and the underdevelopment of so many characters - like ?? That said, Team Jere just because his personality and the way he felt about Belly just seemed more consistent than Conrad. my tots: It's basically them hooking up with each other and the entrance of the taylor songs were kinda off for me, like misplaced audio, put there for the sake of it, the sudden switch from jere to conrad was so ehh, belly took the guys as rebound, conrad was keeping something within so i kinda understand the grump, coz it would exhaust me too, but between him and jere, jere proved more to belly than he did, not a red flag (coz i buy his excuse and if u're mom is sick u'd prolly think of that better than puppy love), just lacking (edit: he had annoying moments, he has red streaks). So unfair to Jeremiah.. He is such a sweetheart. He was there for her when others vanished. He would have been my pick when I was a teen. But then again when one has a serious crush on someone and you get to know they do too, it's hard to let go. I had a situation very similar to this but I guess we both knew that we had not been good together. We were too different. But we did have a tiny thing one summer night, it was sweet and is a nice memory. Unfortunately he is gone now but one day I have plans to take a red rose on his grave like he gave me my first rose from a boy when I had my 8th birthday. He was half a year younger than me but we sort of grew up together for he was my cousins best friend. He liked me and I liked him from young kids to adulthood. We just couldn't help it, there was just always this strong chemistry between us. I was very sad when I heard about his too early death, he left behind two children and a wife. Rest in peace My childhood friend and teen years crush. Jeremiah reminds me of him a lot for he also was a smiley cheerful guy.

Jere is the ones that makes sense for Belly because he treats her right, he’s who Belly needs. Conrad is a good guy and he truly does love her, but not in a way that Belly deserves. The difference between Conrad and Jeremiah is that Conrad pushes everyone away and comes back, repeat, while Jeremiah is ALWAYS there.
everyone keeps talking about the age difference but if you think about it in the show he is still 17 turning 18 and belly turns 16, that’s only a two year difference and that is literally not a big deal. In the book it says that he is “2 years a quarter” older than belly and if you really think about it there have been way worse age gaps lol also to belly conrad is technically her first love because if she’s had a crush on him for that long it isn’t only a crush… and jeremiah to belly has only started liking her now that she is grown up and has become “pretty” but if you look at the flashback or even the book you know that conrad has always cared for belly,he has always done the little things that have made her fall for him. also i’m pretty sure conrad has always had some sort of feelings for belly but i’m pretty sure he never did anything about it in the first book because he didn’t know what or how to express them since 1. they all always viewed her as a younger sister or little kid and 2. he was also dealing with the issues about his mom/family and he thought he couldn’t be happy. I remember reading this, but was really frustrated with Belly a lot hahaahah was excited about this because its been a while since I've watched an ameriacan series with this kind of vibe, and hyped with TY This love but a bit dissapointed after watching it. There's just so many things that I disagree with you about, and first things first, it's the way you judge Conrad. He always liked her; even loved her, but he never acknowledge his feelings for her because he's too scared. So he just comfort himself in this thought that she's young, they're growing up, so this isn't anything serious. The first thing he tell her in the series is that he loved her better with glasses, before she turned 'pretty'. He always left his activities with the trio to do something with her, and included her in the group, unlike the others. Jeremiah's love on the other hand was just so unpredictable. For someone that read the books after watching the series, I just never saw it coming. He just had this golden retriever Best Friend potential, that's it. She never really seamed to relate romantically to him, she never loved him. And also, with Conrad discovering his mother's cancer, he couldn't care more for his crush. He also knew that his father cheated on his mum while she had chemo, so he just thought that he shouldn't be with her to not hurt her. He was suffering and didn't want her to be the victim of that. And even with all, he still loved her so much that even his mother's cancer and divorce couldn't bring shadow to his interest to Belly. You can see throughout the whole series how he was fighting himself. Finally, their chemistry together is just perfect, it's so obvious that he's the one for her. Well, team Conrad forever here...

Honestly I'm both teams, Conrad and Jeremiah, cause Belly never loved Cam so, I think that in the 1 and 2 book and in the series so far Belly can't be with Conrad, he is just not emotionally ready for being in a relationship, he needs to figure it out so many things in his life, and Jeremiah in season 1 and in the 1st and 2nd books is definitely the one for her, in the 2nd book he is just trying to make everyone a little more happy and that's so sweet, he just let Belly sort things out with Conrad and he doesn't makes a scene about her and Conrad either, in the 3rd book is a little tricky cause is possible to understand all 3 sides of the story, even Jeremiah's side, cause he didn't cheated on her, she felt betrayed? yes, it's understandable, but they were broken up, he had no way of knowing they would get back together, cause Belly always went to see Conrad, so pls, don't say he is a cheather, Conrad made her feel bad so many times and made her feel betrayed by making her think he never actually loved her, and one time that Jeremiah screwed up, suddenly he is the MAJOR JERK OF ALL TIME, let's be real these 2 Fisher boys needed more a therapy than a Girlfriend
my opinion from watching the show last year: jeremiah gave me the ick eveytime he spoke, conrad is your stereotypical teenage boy who resorts to leading women on and being an asshole because he's fighting demons, belly was an annoyingly selfish and hypocrytical teenage girl (like how do you get mad at your best friend for kissing your brother but then do the same thing), steven is steven, and i thought the moms were going to end up dating eachother because their relationship screamed more than platonic.
