Belly really fucked up a relationship between two brothers who already lost their mother. She’s addicted to Conrad’s miscommunication and pull and push, and she loves how Jeremiah is always there for her. Wtf

it’s been less than 2 months since belly and conrad’s breakup and belly has only been in cousins for 5/6 days. in one week she went from crying over conrad in her car, saying her chest hurts everytime she thinks of conrad to kissing jeremiah at conrad’s college.

Everybody’s like “I’m team Jelly!” “I’m team Bonrad!” I’m simply team Belly needs to LEAVE. Leave the boys alone. Like wth is she doing? Messing with 2 brothers who just lost their mom, who are grieving, whose father is basically non-existent. They only have each other, and Belly is tearing them apart and being all selfish about what SHE feels. I’m sorry I just can’t, I don’t care that she’s 16 or whatever, what she’s doing is not what a good person would do

That moment when Belly falls on Jeremiah at the party and he says she doesn't have to fall to get his attention.... I seriously gagged. Boy has been reading too many fanfics. But honestly Belly is the real red flag in the series. She should just leave the guys alone.

I just do't get why they're both so obsessed with Belly, she's literally got the personality of an aglet.

Honestly, you said it best. Jeremiah would be such a great boyfriend, but Belly just loves Conrad more. Personally, i don't know why when Jere clearly treats her better (and yes, i know about book 3 so don't even start), but at the end of the day it's about who Belly wants, not who treats her better which is kind of sad, but what can you do? That the way Jenny wrote the series.

I feel the flashback of Susannah plays a lot to her decision with going forward with Jeremiah... you know she loves him but it's more of a best friend that you don't want to lose. She can't handle the thought of losing him again, which is understandable and she feels that will happen if she isn't with him. Also Remember what she said in episode 5 to Taylor, she didn't want to love someone as much as she loved Conrad ever again. So with Jere it's less of an emotional investment. As for Conrad we know that it's not a healthy time for him to be involved with someone. He is still growing and dealing with his moms loss. I can't wait to see how they further the plot. But it's made every turn it's needed to setup book 3. I do wonder if her not being a virgin will play into the downfall of her and Jeremiah? Also will the infinity necklace be a source of contention for for her and Jere? You know she isn't going to throw it away. As a reader of the books,I loved the book details, with the letters from Susannah to the sour patch kids and the glass unicorn with the broken horn that we see Conrad putting on her dresser. I'm hoping we get that flashback! I really hope the Writers Strike gets resolved soon, that way they can get in track with season 3! I'm going to miss this show immensely.

When Jai said “This relationship is gonna be healthy” I burst out laughing, with the way their relationship started it won’t end well. Belly clearly isn’t ready to be in a relationship and needs to focus on herself. Conrad isn’t the only complicated person but also Belly.

This season actually annoyed me because her picking Jeremiah is such an unnecessary detour when it’s so obvious the show is centred/ grounded in belly and Conrads love story even when they aren’t together. Season 2 should have ended with her picking herself and then her and Conrad reconnecting in season 3 with Jeremiah finding someone and getting his own happy ending. They are now going to have to wrap this story up in 10 episodes next season and considering how messy this season was with 8 episodes it’s just not going to be good.

Conrad feels responsible for his brother and would feel guilty breaking them up. It's part of his temperament. Belly needs to grow to understand this side of him better so she quits acting out of her insecurities.

Yes, Conrad is endgame, as it should be. Conrad is misunderstood and no one wants to give him the space he needs to work things out within himself.

I see a lot of people hating on Belly and while I get it to a certain extent I do want to point out that Jeremiah inserted himself into Conrad and Belly's budding romance when he did not have to, at all. Even if he liked Belly before, he did not make any type of move until he saw that they were about to kiss. At the end of the day he will end up hurt because he will not be able to shake the feeling that he was a second choice.

I'm so glad you also see that Belly is clearly the one who broke up with Conrad, not the other way around. Because honestly with the amount of gaslightery in this show had me thinking i was insane. Like did the writers forget what they wrote like not only with the breakup situation but also with Jeremiah saying that Belly wasn't there for him when they clearly showed her calling and being ignored, like he literally asked to be warned when she came so he could purposefully ignore her. actually, i think belly’s feelings for jere never really went away and seeing jere and spending time with him again made it all rise to the surface suddenly. i think thats why it seemed like she was moving so fast, but in reality she wasn’t, its always been there just bubbling underneath.

No i feel like Belly's reaction to conrad was so weird??? My biggest guess is that he saw them eating each others faces right outside his window so he decided to take it all back. Also, the fact that belly was going in there to tell conrad that she and jere are together now, but gets disappointed that he backs away???? Makes no sense to me. I dont think thats him not "fighting for her" anymore. He knows she doesnt like her anymore (Also shes wearing the finch sweater now) so why would he give her the satsifaction of telling her he still loves her, when she was just sucking jeres face.

I have a theory; let's call it the "Belly and Susannah theory" (very uncreative, i'm aware 😭) I love Susannah BUT, there's one thing about her that I can't stand that one talks about enough: She put so much pressure on Belly to take care of Jeremiah and Conrad when it really wasn't her place. I mean obviously it would be nice for her to still check up on them and make sure they would be okay but Belly is a teenage girl who has had a crush on both of those brothers at some point and she really loved Susannah and wanted to make her proud so badly so if you mix all those emotions, you get one confused Belly who really likes Conrad but is in denial about it because she wants to be with Jeremiah because she feels like she owes it to Susannah even though she may not like him as much as Conrad and instead of her helping the boys like she promised to Susannah, she's doing the total opposite. Susannah should've told Laurel this a lot more than Belly because she can handle that responsibility. She should've asked Laurel to make sure that her boys were taken care of instead of putting all that on Belly. Maybe then, the whole situation with Aunt Julia would've been avoided. I think Belly and Susannah's relationship is the root of a majority of the problems this season. But that's just my opinion.

Belly is the that girl who always go back and forth with her ex and everybody are just judge them…but if she do the same thing next season am done.

I think knowing how the book series ends gives us an unconscious bias towards rooting for the endgame (Bonrad), but if we ignore that information then we'd see how Jeremiah is the better choice in so many ways. Jere is always there for her, willing to sacrifice his own feelings/happiness for her, consistent, communicates, defends her and her best friend. Yes, Conrad may love her but that's irrelevant when he constantly hurts her. Friends to lovers is a superior romantic trope and much more realistic than the whole hopeless romantic act which becomes exhausting and toxic. Also, a lot of Belly's feelings for Conrad stem from the infatuation of her crush finally liking her back but feelings fluctuate and end of the day its who brings out the best in you and that's Jer. The last completely ruined Jeremiah's character so that Bonrad could be endgame and it reinforces a horrible pattern of refusing to let go of your past. Both belly and Conrad led people on first season and was willing to cheat when they almost kissed before Jere stopped it with fireworks. Jere never did that so him "cheating" is outta no where. And if Conrad truly loved Belly he'd let her go and give her the chance to come back on her own. He always makes things so messy. Tired of people making excuses for his behavior as if it wasn't Jeremiah's mom too. Jer deserves better than all of this tbh.
