Being a Pats fan, hearing some of these names is just so great Asante Samual, Rodney Harrison, Randy Moss, Vince Wilfork, Tedy Bruschi, Jabar Gaffney, Wes Welker, Heath Evans, Tom Brady, Rob Ninchovitch, And so many others. The best team in NFL History to not win the Super Bowl, and maybe the best team in NFLHistory period

The Pats had a few of those dramatic games in their 16-0 run. MNF at Baltimore Midseason win at Indy Last game of regular season vs. Giants All just as good or even better than this one.

Such a shame pats lost in the super bowl. Don’t think another team will be able to duplicate what they did that season. I was there, it's the only pats game I've ever been to. This was the first game of that season the pats were really challenged. Rest of the season was the same way, every game was at least fairly close.

I dont ask for a lot, ever, but can we get one of these for the 2007 Super Bowl??? I just want you watch that again, the best Super Bowl ever, even though my Pats lost...

I dont even think the haters realize how crazy Bradys win stats are regardless his individual stats which are also off the charts. Dude avg Nearly 80% combined wins Home/Away in both the regular and post season. He won 70% of the 10 SBs but of course you have to beat not only the best AFC team(s) but also the best NFC team to win it all. In other words you only had roughly a 20% chance of beating him his whole career. Less at home.

This game was honestly the game that laid the foundation for the Giants beating New England in Super Bowl 42. It was the first game all year where the Patriots looked really vulnerable. Specifically, it showed how an outside pass rush against Brady would put serious pressure on him and keep that lightning offense in check. The Giants studied the tapes of this game relentlessly because this was the first time the Pats had really been challenged all year and the Giants knew they had a better pass rush than the Eagles. In doing so, they developed the defensive game plan that ultimately led to the massive upset in SB42.

Question from a new football fan: was what the Pats were doing with Welker this year relatively new? Did Welker sort of invent the niche of a "slot receiver", or at least make it much more popular?

True the Pats play in a bad division, but they deserve credit for beating teams that played out of their minds against them like this by considering the game as their Super Bowl.

The MNF scare against the Ravens was legit and much closer than this game. Poor officiating blew it and gifted the Pats with multiple chances to win when the Ravens had it wrapped up.

Ahh back when football was good. Defense made a hell of a halftime adjustment after a piss poor start. And the offense didn't help a whole lot but defense did really well with what they had to work with.

This was one of the games that showed the Patriots were not invulnerable in spite of their historic season.
