It’s such a roller coaster of a situation. By law, yes the owners should be allowed to distance from Uefa, since they are the owners, and when you own something it makes sense you should be allowed to decide how it should be used. That’s not the bad part. The bad part is the people who have this power of ownership don’t have the best interest in heart, and want to make the sport into something most fans don’t want. It’s okay for people/ companies to make more money, but not when it’s at the cost of the enjoyment of the sport. Overall, I don’t think Uefa should have the right to block this, with freedom comes the ability to make choices, even the bad ones, and Uefa don’t have the power to tell the clubs what to do, nor should they. But it’s a shame the people who are the ones leading this resistance to Uefa are no better, arguably worse than them. I wanted someone to get Uefa off of their high horse, but this was not the answer I wanted. It’s such a grey area we are in, and I feel like no matter who comes out on top, the fans will be the real losers.
