@@tjz3158 Yeah lol the video also mentioned it, she voiced Princess Toadstool (the original voice for Peach) in the OG Super Mario Brothers Super Show (where the "Hooked On The Brothers" theme came from)
Ngl a breath of fresh air since every other trailer out there just feels like the same Disney/Marvel movie trailer over and over again. Then again, most things coming out these days are Disney/Marvel movies.
This is the kind of marketing the Bobs Burgers movie should’ve gotten. Mainly because that movie basically had no marketing to the point where people didn’t even know it existed
Nintendo really went out of their way when it came to marketing. They know this movie is the biggest thing they've done, and are pulling out all the stops to make sure everyone knows it, and get fans hyped.
The Mario Movie has showed us how to properly market a movie Every commercial has given us a new and interesting glimpse into the movie. Whether it be Donkey Kong’s voice or more into how the brothers got into the mushroom kingdom, this film has actually made me excited for an illumination feature
I feel like If there's one thing I had to select out of the multitude of things Nintendo is good at, it's making every trailer and every teaser worth watching to make you more hyped!
The fact they got Princess Toadstool's original voice actress from Super Show to play the lady in the commercial is just the cherry on top of this beautiful homage.
Not only did we get this banger of a trailer, the fact that the Super Show was referenced by both Illumination and Nintendo is something I would’ve never expected in 2023. Plus the fact they have a working website and phone number based off this trailer alone is fantastic.
It’s crazy to think how many people doubted this movie when it was first announced. Now I believe this and Spider-Man will be the best animated movie of the year!!!
@@HylianBean97 it got that money for the same reason morbius got a lot of money, people ironically liking and watching the movie because the internet put it on a gilded pedestal.
Fun fact: In the error page, if you click on the 2nd pipe, the 3rd pipe, and then the 1st, you can hear the Super Mario Bros theme, but in an orchestra version. Maybe it might be in the movie.
When I was little, i almost exclusively watched the super Mario super show on Netflix and mario content on RU-vid. It feels like this commercial is targeting me specifically. All my dreams are coming true.
That's gonna be a tall order. I think their highest grossing one is Rise of Gru, which made around $934 million worldwide. In terms of quality, let's see if it tops Sing 2, which was far more quality than it had any right to be.
I like the 'spiky bosses' line on the website. In context, they're just talking about bosses with spiky personalities. But also their previous boss they quit working for was Foreman Spike. But ALSO its referring to how literally spiky so many of the game bosses are, like Bowser and the Koopa Kids.
I’m so happy Nintendo acknowledged this show’s existence. This show helped build my childhood. I love it so much. When this commercial dropped, it made my entire week. Nintendo, thank you. R.I.P Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells
If you told me that Dreamworks animated this commercial, i would’ve believed in you. That shows how much Illumination has improved. I’m telling you, this Mario movie could be Illumination’s Spider-Verse.
Now I'm REALLY hyped for the Mario Brothers movie. At first, I feared that this was gonna be like the 1993 film starring Bob Hoskins (God rest his soul) and John Leguizamo but now I am REALLY excited to see this movie.
Most marketing teams today don't usually come up with stuff like this all the time when promoting something huge, like whenever the next Avatar movie comes out or yet another Avengers movie. But not only it is nostalgic but this is what REAL marketing should look like in the near future.
After Sing 2, I respected them a *lot* more. Sure they had some decent films before that one, but Sing 2 was more mature and deep than it had any right to be.
Marketing team went hard on the marketing for this, I like how they reference Spike, Super Show, and a lot of other things. They couldn’t have done this but they did
Them acknowledging a video game cartoon is just completely wild for advertised like this is just wild. I wasn’t expecting for this event to go that hard, this seriously just makes the Mario movie even more exciting to see, I believe that the marketing that they are doing for this is that next level😏
Past: The Sonic movie was awesome with how it was choced with easter eggs Present: The Mario movie looks like it has huge potential with how much Nintendo is dishing out Future: The FNAF movie seems like it has potential considering the cast of the movie. It seems like video game movie adaptations are going on the up and up. Please let this age like wine.
One thing you missed is that on the screen with the 3 pipes, each pipe plays a different version of the warp sound and if you click the pipes in order from left to right and you're fast enough, then you will hear a remixed version of the overworld theme
Man, the more that comes out about this movie the more excited I get. It's become very clear that a lot of genuine passion has been put into (almost) every aspect of it, and it's easily my third most anticipated movie for 2023. I'll be there opening night
I saw the ad for this. THIS is how you advertise. The fact that it’s a real website and phone number you can call makes this 10x better. I can’t wait for the movie.
The amount of love and passion put into the marketing for this movie shows that Nintendo really wants their mascot portrayed correctly on the big screen, compared to the '93 "film".
Seriously it's so refreshing especially coming from the two directors who made teen titans go of all things. It won't be perfect but I can confidently say I can expect a good movie. I did not think that at all when this all started because of who the directors were and to a lesser extent illumination.
One thing I think you forgot to mention is how foreman Spike's review ends with, "they'll learn their lesson someday..." implying that HE might be part of the reason why the brothers end up in the mushroom and koopa kingdoms!
Did anyone else see the news of the new barney the dinosaur cgi reboot? Looks like Mattel is gearing kids up for their live action barney movie that's in development
Theres a secret at the 404 page. If you pres the second pipe then the third pipe and last the first pipe you get the mario bros theme but its all jazz.
In the pipe 404, you can click the pipes to play weird pipe sounds, and if you click them fast in the order: 1,2,3,1 you hear a clip of an orchestra version of the mario theme!
We're the Mario Brothers, and plumbing's our game! We're not like the others who get all the fame! When your sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double, we're faster than the others, you'll be hooked on the brothers!
If you look in the background of the "applications not ready" screen, alongside a bunch of random people you can actually see Pauline off to the right.
As someone who grew up with and loved the series, this is great and will be a shame that people born after the movie comes out won't get to experience all this great stuff!
2:22 Petition to replace Chris Pratt with Vailskibum to voice Mario? We still have like a month and a half for the movie to release. Anything can happen within that amount of time, people. You never know.
