I've been a fan of their games since Verdun, and Isonzo feels like a really solid evolution of the series overall! I wish I could get more of my friends together but they get tired of being dead for over half the match lol To my fellow engineer mains, where ya at?
I personally like the build I dub as "The Emotional Support Crackhead". I pick up a rifle or carbine or choice, take the movement speed perk, and the bugle. Whenever I smell combat nearby, I sound the horn, and adopt the personality of a rabid honey badger. I'll support my team by giving them the movement and faster weapon buffs, and I'll be running around at breakneck speeds and rapidly popping off shots at anything that I remotely suspect of being an enemy. If it's at close range and there are more enemies than I have bullets, then fuck it, "cowabunga time it is then" I say before emptying my magazine and sinking a bayonet into the closest bastard still alive.
Good content for le funny isonzo, really nicely voiced and paced. As a player with 510 hours into Isonzo, i thoroughly agree that mountaineer is the best class that mixes both combat and support. It's my personnal bread and butter and I have it max prestige. One thing about the sweaty build: yes the ice axe is used by some sweaty players, but the creme de la creme for sweaty play is the bugle : 30 seconds of x4 times movement speed and increased rate of fire like the marksman. Genuinely op and one of the factors that made Zab indestructible on US servers.
Honestly not a bad player count for a slower paced historic game like this. Also jave never opened the game and not found a couple full lobbies to join
