There's a reason no one plays this crap anymore. These women can't play it very well either. Trained monkey's can keep tempo and hit their notes better.
Those Kustom amps were so damn expensive in the 60's and to see them today used as intended nearly 60 years after the fact makes me smile.......rock on sisters!!!
Still, this is my most favorite video that captures such a happy moment of a beautiful day at a wonderful stretch of beach with the most lovely ladies that I've ever had the honor to meet. If I ever meet Saint Peter, I hope that this sight will greet me again as I walk through the gates of Heaven...
This is proof enough that there is a GOD! And HE surfs... ands wants us to be happy and rock out to these surfer girls... and live forever in beach culture bliss!!!
Even the BEL-AIRS version didn't hae a bass......this song gets NAILED here......astonishing playing.....still pinching myself.....how can ANY band be this good?!
The Long Horn has been the choice of pro bassists who could afford pricier instruments, The Who's Entwhistle, The Wilbury's Petty, the guy in the MC5 whom I don't recall his name, The Shindog's bass player too.
@@chrisst8922 It's a quirky, iconic instrument that can produce a variety of tones despite the construction material being the polar opposite of ''tone wood''. I've never felt a hint of fatigue due to it's light weight.
Actually a bit disgusted that this doesn't have 1420985723049875,000,000 views, this band has a ridiculous feel and they're fucking *incredibly good guitarists* (also their bass player is amazing) (also their drummer is amazing) - someone from the band please tell me what reverb/amp setup they're using and also maybe give me lessons
And its literally everything I want in a song, thanks Paul I now have a new band to obsess over, had no idea their bass player was also a fucking amazing singer!
this is such exciting music rendered live at the very exact place - imagine returning to the hot sand, after a splendid crystal clear dive and being surfrised by this Surfrajettes noon beach showcase. Wow...
@The Doobie Sisters & Sack Blabbath Kustom was the go to amp back in the 70's, cheaper than those of Marshall, Fender. and Orange, but they made a hell of a stage presence with their metal flake tuk n roll.
Just discovered them less than an hour ago, this many videos in, and I simply love their whole schtick! The music, the retro, the all-girl thing. I will buy their album when it comes out for sure.
Bret Armstrong I like them also, everything, their looks, sound, 60s retro set up. But after 3songs. Everything starts sounding the same. That’s the problem with surf music.. for me at least. Need some lyrics songs to change it up some.
