I know by now the surgery was actually a few days ago, but I jus want to say the worst part really is the anticipation. Every time I’ve had surgery once I’m actually in recovery it really does get better every day and you’re relieved the worst is already over. It’s before the surgery that really sucks.

Don’t stress it at all! You’ll be fine. I had the same surgery last year. Hot/warm tea really helped bc the pain meds made me so sick!

After the surgery u will have a lock jaws for couples of months & will have difficulties speaking but it will takes some time to heals everything will get better ~~

your feelings are completely valid and surgery is scary! When I was 18 I had to have surgery on my right shoulder, and I am right-handed. I was terrified. It was also a very common surgery, but it is still surgery. I was so worried that my right hand would never be the same and that I would never have a normal shoulder again. I am fine now and have no issues, but it doesn't change how I felt then. I hope you are recovering well and that your jaw feels amazing soon!

That first covid test was weird. Both times I did it they twist the q-tip in both nostrils for 10 seconds. 🤨

I had jaw surgery at 12 almost 13 years old and was on a liquid diet for 6 weeks and 2 of those weeks during middle school. The only teeth that touched on my mouth were my beck molars 2 on each side.

When I went for hernia surgery in June, I had to go for a test also to make sure I was healthy! They called a couple days later & said come in Monday for the surgery. I didn’t ask because I figure when she said that I’m healthy😃...I can’t believe you had to go for another test b/c the first wasn’t good enough! All and all it’s over now and your healing👍🏻 and soon you will be eating the way you want✌🏻

Go bravely into this, it will pass before you know it. Your mantra... devine angels go before me and protect me. The procedure goes perfectly and rapidly. I heal easily and effortlessly. I am grateful this procedure turned out perfectly and my jaw and bite are in perfect working order. I am in perfect health physically, mentally and spiritually. Loved and protected always.

Having a blender is big help. You can make a bunch of smoothies. One time, my sister-in-law baked me a cake during my recovery period and put a slice in the blender. It was sooo good. Then I started to blend a bunch of stuff haha. WOW!!!...recovery is only a week?? That’s crazy lol

Shelby, you should watch fat, sick, and nearly dead. Free documentary on RU-vid that is 90 minutes long. Guy in film goes on 60 day strictly juice cleanse for health purposes but is also entertaining in the juicing aspect. He also helps a person with juicing that he interviews. He made this documentary while traveling across the USA. I think film will strengthen your belief that you can juice during this time. I did it for four weeks and felt great after. Never felt malnourished. I can’t wait until you make a video of the first food you eat once you’re done with liquid diet. Take care!!

Could your jaw pain be psychosomatic, anticipating the surgery? Or is your jaw pain the result of grinding your jaw, over extreme nervousness, of the upcoming surgery? Feel bad for what you are going thru and hope for the best.

Blender + Real Food. = Meals... most soups is no problem, most vegetables is no problem... meat is an issue but if you still have a teeth gap... you can get some puried meat through. Be Creative and Good luck. Hopefully we can hear you soon... a month or so later... mubles in beginning and gets better from there.
