Pacific Drive is a first-person driving survival game with your car as your only companion. Navigate a surreal reimagining of the Pacific Northwest, and face supernatural dangers as you venture into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Each excursion into the wilderness brings unique and strange challenges as you restore and upgrade your car from an abandoned garage that acts as your home base. This would be the point in the saga when the hero must team up with his archnemesis to stop a greater threat that could destroy them both. The key diference being that Kevin is far from a hero (in fact, one could argue the car is the hero in this situation, trying and falling to stop Kevin before he came into power) and prety much any threat could destroy him. The car is the only enemy he ever manage to survive against, hence why he's confortable leaving their conflict behind. He knows he's far more powerful with the car in his side.

Nearly made it to 40hrs of Pacific Drive before Kevin released his adventure on it. Absolute gem of a game. Please post more Pacific Drive vids, this was great to watch during my playthrough.

The mannequins are called "Tourists" when you scan one. The journal entry is a report by a scientist compiling everything that's know about them. The report ends with him noticing a Tourist has definitely moved while he wasn't looking. I first met one on that first trip to get plasma, and he was just right there when I turned around from something. Fear-chills, knowing I potentially was having a Weeping Angel moment. After I read the report, I tried to kill it with my Scrapper, and it exploded. I was worried it might try to stop me. Love the atmosphere of this game.

What i get from this coment is that this game must be a higher quallity version of that road trip game Kevin used to play, a spiritual remake of sorts. Creeppy mannequins, unexplained horror stuff, everything being build around repairing your car with scraps you find along the way, the whole package. Its not the same game by any means, but if it was less refined and the grafics were uglier, they sure would feel the same.

@pedrovallefin8406 To be honest, I've only encountered the Abductor and Tourists, since I haven't actually gotten very far, but I imagine there are many other strange things out there. Plus the radiation, storms, and dangerous power stations.

Here is why there are so many rubber ducks I think. I looked it up hoping it could be worded well enough. "The idea is that when a programmer needs to debug their code, they should explain the program line-by-line to a rubber duck. Often, the act of explaining the problem step by step will cause the solution to present itself. The theory of Rubber Duck Debugging need not be confined to programming."

ahh the tourists. they're touchy and like their personal space, but they will give you things! so if you keep playing and notice/hear random items falling from the sky (plastic, scrap, whole parts of cars like wheels) you'll probably see a tourist nearby looking at you. I absolutely adored playing through that game, and weeks later I'm still listening to the radio playlist from the game!

That climb near the end hit me with a heavy dose of nostalgia. I used to spend hours after elementary school repeatedly driving up the angled side of a building in Midtown Madness 2's San Francisco map and then launching off said roof I must have tried it with every car in the game, and done it dozens of times in the ones that could pull it off.

Huh, now that you mention it, theyre prety similar in concept. Though the driving aspect of that one was definitely more complex. It remind me more of that Road trip game kevin played a couple times, similary horror themed and the same dinamic of building your own car. Though that game was considearably more crappy, probably because it was randomly generated.
