This is only remaining full-scale golf course in the city of Fountain Valley, and specifically Mile Square Regional Park. The Classic is a welcoming golf course set through the mature trees of the park.

In truth, the cups were flipped upside-down for COVID at the time I played....if it dunked, I don't think it would have stayed in the hole! 🤷‍♂️

Love seeing more of these So Cal muni tracks. I’m used to playing a lot of the muni courses out in the SGV (Santa Anita, Mountain Meadows, Brookside) and then the LA City courses

I'm born and raised here in the OC...tracks like this are my regulars! Getting out to the SGV is a little stretch for me, I've played Brookside and I've heard great things about Santa Anita

Good to see some OC muni content! I found your channel when I searched RU-vid for the Navy golf course. As far as I can tell, there is no RU-vid content for other local courses such as Meadowlark, Dad Miller, and River view. Or at least none that are done as thoroughly as yours. Would be cool to see!

I just played David L. Baker today and my buddy and I saw the other course and we were like, “what’s up with that other course over there?” Timing is everything 😂 I’m in Cypress and I go to Palm Springs once a month, so we play a lot of the same tracks. I’d love to see you check out Desert Dunes out in Desert Hot Springs sometime; it’s not the most manicured course in the valley but it’s a really unique design and it’s usually empty (aside from the occasional bobcat, and no, I’m not kidding!). Anyway, keep up the good work, love Terminator Tuesday!

How’s Baker? I haven’t played there in years, nor I have I ever tried out Desert Dunes. I’ll make it a point to give it a go once the heat dies down!

@@TerminatorGolf If you played Baker you’d be driving greens with a 9 iron, no joke! I can only hit driver on one par 4, all the rest are too short and I’m not nearly as long as you off the tee haha! My buddy only plays once or twice a month so executive layouts are what he prefers; I like long, scary courses even though I’ve only broken 90 once haha! Desert Dunes is a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design and there’s nothing around it, just open desert and windmills, super unique for Palm Springs. It seems like the owners are trying to bring it back to prevalence but right now it’s a hidden gem, albeit a little shaggy around the edges haha

i played this course shortly before they closed the players course. i knew they were closing it, but wasn't sure when. would like to have played it one more time. oh well. cheers

the comment about every course being called "classic" is how I feel about the names of pga tour tournaments. Every tournament is either classic or championship. Is it really classic or a championship if they all are?
