I personally think there is a difference between playing for several hours as different species and deciding to be kind and give someone at a disadvantage a hand when they are being swarmed by toxic raptors
I definitely think there's a difference between teaming up to run the map and kill everything vs "oh that's really just sad let me at least try to even the odds for a second" But not everyone sees it that way, especially where carnos are concerned since they've been despised for so long on evrima
@@dinometta This exact scenario happened to me when i played carno. I was about same size as this carno and first I got attacked by a speed hacking cera. I had 50km/h speed and he was faster. But I made to lose him in the woods and got very low and with bad bleeding. Then a group of raptors came and I thought there is no way I survive this. Then all of a sudden a dibble came and helped saved me. I played with him for couple of hours and me and him later died to that exact same speed hacking cera unfortunately.
@@dinometta I noticed that too! Goodness I want to draw this "Bulldozer" Dibble. I think I have a idea who the white & black Raptor was, especially with their skill. Lol Would be a nice art peice to make!
This might've been my favorite video from you so far. Can't believe you saved this dibble from its biggest threat: that disconnection in the middle of the fight. I felt bad for that carno, and i was cheering when you went for the nests. Like YES finally!!! Make them suffer 😂😂😂
The number of Raptors in this vid is probably enough to give The Count a stroke if he even attempted to keep track of the sheer amount of omnis I just witnessed.
I just discovered the easiest and safest drinking game of all time. Every time you see a Raptor on the hordetest that isn't teleporting everywhere, you take a shot. You'll be alcohol free throughout the entire game. Hell, you can go drive right after and be perfectly fine.
I'm never one to body guard, at worst I'll pause to mourn if the carcass is my friend. Otherwise it's very much an "okay, you killed it that's yours now"
I can't help but echo a lot of the comments here, most mix packers group together to break the game because they don't have the skill/integrity to play normally. You, on the other hand, were simply trying to help someone survive overwhelming odds. These little moments of player to player kindness can be the difference between someone continuing to play or uninstalling a game. So I don't mind it at all
I'm glad people see it that way. I think sometimes the human element is the best part about games like this. That little bit of connection can mean a lot
I was part of this raptor group, (the red and yellow raptor you killed at 9:47) and I want to shed some light from the other side, it looks worse and far more toxic than what it was. There was a group of 6 of us just chilling at the water, trying to nest, and some carnos attacked us. We were on edge with carnos. These 2 carnos rolled up and scared us. If they just left they would have been fine. They stood their ground in the water though. And i STG it was just 5 or 6 of us. But a SECOND RANDOM group of raptors came to join the fight looking for a meal i guess. Thats why there was no coordination, and why there were SO MANY RAPTORS. We were all random raptors that happened to end up in a big group. AND THEN YOU SHOWED UP!!! We had killed one of the two carnos, and we legit thought you were the carno we killed hopping on a second account to come back up his buddy, crazy timing. The lag was horrendous, you're right. We would try to jump on and just be dead. The lag is definitely what did us in. Was pretty fun though had a good time. Edit: Definitely subscribing, hope to run into you again!
Good to hear from the other side! What a wild ride either way! You never really know what you're walking into in the isle so it keeps life interesting! I'm pretty sure I know the second group of raptors, I've run with them before and recognized some of their skins. I talked to one of the raptors in the isle discord immediately after the fight as well, though they didn't explain the situation, so I only had what info I walked in with: dead carno in the water with organs ripped out, more raptors than I could reasonably count, and second smaller carno being swarmed by those raptors xD Anyway, it was a fun fight, I love fighting megapacks of raptors as anything that can reasonably survive them! I hope y'all had fun too! We'll see you around I'm sure!
@@dinometta That other person in the discord was actually part of our original group, thats how I found out about this channel! I was counting the days waiting for you to post the video, i knew it was gonna make the cut!
Great vid, great music. Youre by far my fav isle creator. I know its always going to be a good time when i see you've posted a new vid. Keep it up, thanks :)
that was amazing, dibble is becoming one of my favorite dinosaurs to play. 14 raptors killed and still more?!?! they are like a infestation of rats they way they scurry around you. satisfying to see them impaled
@@dinomettaI don’t think anyone else noticed somehow but in a devblog a couple months ago they mentioned dibbles 3 call having a beak-clack, which the old evrima one had, but the animation never actually had a closed mouth and it just sounded underwhelming, so it just broke the immersion for me. Once they made it like it is now though, where it just roars twice, it feels a lot more threatening and actually fits the animation due to the mouth physically being open to fit the sound.
Holy moly! 😮🤯 Good fight, so many dead omnis, even better when you destroyed the nests and eggs hahahhaha. Thanks for sharing this. Can't wait for more, let's gooooooo.
As much as I hate mixpackers the amount raptor players right now is insane. Ive been in this poor carnos same situation multiple times even before grapple was introduced and im glad you tried to help it
I really hate mixpackers and mixpacking, when the odds are fair or even reasonable, I never would have stepped in(8 raptors vs the carno for example, would have been fine. That's the in-game pack limit therefore not unreasonable to expect to run into) but 15-20 raptors vs the carno just felt ridiculous. That's like 30% of the server against one person, certainly not reasonable to expect to run into. But also I just really wanted to fight a big raptor pack and how better to get them to fight me than get in the way of their slaughter
While im not an advocate for mixpacking, i can see your intentions especially with the new raptor updates and their overpopulation lol. Cant wait to try dibble my wifi has been cut off for forever!
Honestly a good carno, at least before it was released on gateway, was an omnis REAL nightmare, a cerato can’t even catch a raptor if the raptor isn’t cocky
I record with OBS right now, in the 1440 setting. Then I export in MP4 format, matching source to that 1440. Makes the overall file larger, but worth it when everything comes out clear!
Solo warrior and duo gameplay are thé best by far lol . I especially live solo , and Diablo IS as strong to fight all possible danger most of time , thé most dangerous thing being 4 ceratos
@@dinometta as solo cerato IS destroyed a herd 1 per 1 , killed 5 adults in 1 vs 1 and 1 vs 2 adults , and also killed lots of subs one , as well as their dilos mixpacker friends
I know, but the running attack can still be engaged during sparring mode and dibble has much better movement in that mode vs not. Regardless, I was flipping sparring on and off constantly throughout the fight, especially if I knocked something down
@@dinometta I'm not fussed about you being in sparring mode, as switching in and out of it is exactly what you should be doing. ..but you were also repeatedly using that one attack IN sparring mode, as if it was an actual attack, but it doesn't actually do anything. It doesn't knock anything down, and it doesn't do meaningful damage. The most you could say about it in combat is that it's fast, but doing nothing quickly is still doing nothing.
@@peasantkyr that attack happens when I hit left click too quickly before getting into a full sprint forward. It was never intentionally used as an attack, I just overestimated my acceleration a lot, especially as I moved in and out of the water x]
right mouse is the block n u move slower while holding it. Pressing crtl allows u to move around faster while strafing but attacking in that mode can be unreliable while attacking anything other than a dibble
I’m a bit of a new player on Evrima, I’ve had the game for about a week, why is it some Dino’s like Trike are not on official servers but on other servers? Seems like fun!
Evrima is a work in progress! Some animals haven't been added to the updated side of the game yet, and when they are, they'll need to be carefully balanced
It's... I mean I can't honestly say it is performing amazing. It is fairly stable fps-wise if you've got a high end PC, but for lower end PCs a lot of people complain about heavy performance issues. Add in the latency and lag and it can be frustrating some days. Overall though, I can't really complain. Evrima is getting better by the month
@@stefanm8155 oh that's pretty darn good! Yeah sounds like you'll only have to contend with the lag, but that's everyone while they're working on stabilizing things. Hope you have fun!
Honestly this type of “mixpacking” is tolerable for me. You and the carno weren’t in some vc planning on killing a bunch of stuff, and he wasn’t even fully grown fighting a MEGAPACK (larger than the normal max pack limit) of full grown omniraptors. On top of the still-not-balanced-right grapple mechanic. So scream at my all you want about mixpacking but theres a difference between getting a bunch of friends together to make an unstoppable gang with unfair advantages, and helping a fellow player survive stupidly obnoxious situations like these.
@@dinomettaexactly, but at least he probably feels happy to have gotten help. Believe me, from personal experience, I’ve been SUPER frustrated from this game due to nothing but dying to annoying players for hours, but then at some point you have that moment where someone has the guts to actually help you or at the very least have good sportsmanship, and that changes my entire mood sometimes. I actually released my video last night where a dilo was a huge W helping me as omni with a corpse guarding stego, not sure you saw me talking about it in the discord but I was super excited at the time because of the dude and I do hope you watch it at some point lol, at least that fight, it was an awesome moment imo. Im also glad other people feel this way lol thought I was one of the only ones.
Ggs 😂 The lag was so bad, in some of those moments I was pretty sure either the game was delayed showing me charging forward, or y'all were typing in chat while much too close to the danger zone
Oh yeah, all the time. Just not as often currently because I like messing around with the new stuff on horde branch. But I ran cerato with Thyler the other day on evrima branch
@@Goatzillarealas a person whos mortal enemy in update 5 as carno was raptors, real. I never got enough combat experience with carno to get good with it before gateway xd
This video is why I laugh every time I see someone complaining about how slow and sluggish the Dibble is, its so bad! Two or three raptors or even 2 Ceras and there is absolutely NOTHING the Dibble can do! It cant turn fast enough to guard more than one direction! I mean, yeah took me all of like 10 minutes playing Dibble to predict a very possible nerf to its sprint drifting because its insanely agile with that and the guard toggling... and I wasnt even able to get half as good as shown in this video. For some reason people do not like when the honest answer to their complaining(this case the Dibble being unable to defend itself against more than 1 opponent) is simply "Skill Issue". Even if you try to say it in a nice way with advice.
man who is saying that?? even if dibble didnt have half as good of turning as it does now bro still gots 3 tons of weight to tank the majority of those hits 💀
Dibble is such a deviously agile creature, I personally don't think it needed a weight buff at all. Regardless, as it is now, you need careful coordination to take down a halfway decent solo dibble
jesus christ you play diablo like a cornered animal . . . . . . which is fitting considering in this case you were quite literally a cornered animal, but nevertheless, amazing spectacle, love to see it!
I love your content and all Metta but this is just one I can't support. I can definitely understand why you would feel obligated to even out the odds as the poor carno is a solo against a massive pack and with the raptors new grapple they are damn near unstoppable but one thing in these kind of games that i feel everyone hates is herbi carni mix packs, and the raptors are just playing the game as it is meant to be played and trying to have fun when in a sense you just come out of no where care bearing for what they see as their prey. In essence, my point is that sometimes, even though your morals are really telling you to do something, you should know that if you do it your just gonna be a pain in the ass for some other randoms trying to have fun playing the game, plus if the carno was playing properly, maybe it wouldn't even have ended up in that situation, just think about it, natural selection perhaps? plus lets not forget the days carnos ran around slaughtering utahs in rather unfair numbers.
@@thegamingspinocardon8808 see here's my thought. 8 raptors vs 1 carno, yes, they're just playing the game as intended. That's fine, I won't interfere. 15-20 raptors vs 1 carno? That's not playing the game as it is meant to be played. Packs of raptors aren't intended to be that large and become incredibly unfair to fight. . It's fine, you don't have to agree though :] Everyone is entitled to their opinions!
There is no excuse that this game lags like crazy and does fatal errors frequently. This game has been out for years and it still runs like trash, PoT hasnt been out for long and it runs way better than the isle
The isle has been out for years, but was essentially restarted from scratch only 3 years ago. PoT has a much larger and more experienced development team as far as I'm aware as well.
