that’s true. I mean, I lost my dog Lili after I angered her by trying to get her attention/touch her and she almost hurt me. I was a baby so of course I don’t remember it but it still stings It’s best to be cautious, it always is. Even if your dog is rlly sweet, I would still have someone around to watch them around kids so they can still interact and the kid can form a relationship with that animal
@@retrofruitcake6030 yes and thank Allah you were not hurt, it takes only one snap..imagine if they deformed the face etc.. etc.. but as you said, if they do it, at least they should be near them, especially in the introduction face, once the boy or girl act very well with the dog, and form a stronger bond, then one may lower his worries by 1 percentage.. from 100% to 99% because kids are still kids and vulnerable.

At one time pit bulls were called the 'nanny dog' because of the care they would lavish on infants... no one in their right mind would even approach a child guarded by one Unless they were Known by the dog Asa family friend
It says the sweetest pittie is the best big sister..meaning the dog is female..it doesn’t state if the child is male or female, but how the child’s dressed says it’s a boy, lol
Grew up with a Heinz Mongrel...and 4 siblings...best childhood ever. Looks like your kiddie is having that special bond with her dog that I did. Good for you
Looks like my baby 😢she passed away a few years ago to brain cancer. She was the best nanny dog with mt son. Every time he cried she would lay next to him. She overcame so many hardships and abuse in her life before being rescued and not once did she ever show an ounce of aggression. Poor thing didn’t know how to play with toys. She got along with all our cats, bottle babies wr fostered and our little dog. Damn I miss her.
@joshleenall the pain never really goes away just gotta match the pain with joy and love and what always makes me feel better is knowing someday I'll see my fuzzy buddies again the Bible says all dogs go to heaven I really hope it's true
Fir every story like this there is the story of an abused pit that destroys a teens finger causing him to need pins in his hand and bites a second person trying to get the beast off the poor frightened frozen kid . Rescue dogs aren’t all made the same .
This is just the best! When you have pets who become protective and nurturing toward your children, it's the greatest feeling knowing that bond will carry on for a long time.
My sweet 14 year old Belgian Malinois passed away two days ago. I cannot seem to stop myself from watching videos like these. It will take me a while to heal my heart and adopt a new rescue, but in the meantime, thank you for sharing the love this sweet pittie brings to your life!❤
@@melinagranger8505 Thank you. 💕 She was such a gentle soul! She was fierce through a window🤣, but everyone’s buddy when she met them. We got her from the pound. We were told she was a ~3 year old German Shepherd. We had owned several GS so almost immediately we were perplexed by her behavior and mannerisms. She was NOTHING like our previous GS!! One day someone came to our house to work on my husband’s car and sweet Gretchen (German name for a GS 🤣, right?) greeted him warmly. The man said, “Wow, that is one gorgeous Belgian Malinois!” 😳 WHAT? I said, “Spell that please!” A quick internet search later and voila, all her quirks and oddities were explained! She wasn’t acting like a GS because she wasn’t a GS! GS and BM may look a lot a like, but their personalities are nothing alike! 🤣 Like every breed, BM are wonderful dogs, but they have traits that some people might find difficult. I instantly fell in love with Gretchen, so no matter her quirks, she was mine for life…but I will not get another BM. They are a young person’s breed, and I am almost 60. When I no long feel the squeeze in my heart, like I am cheating on Gretchen, I will probably get another dog. I like getting rescues. I feel two lives are helped when you rescue an animal. I have had on my heart to get a pittie mix because I think they are so maligned, but a pittie mix who is on the smaller side, like 20-30#, as I am not getting any younger. I guess we will see.
Really hate to hear that, i am not guaranteeing the same results but when my 1st blue pit died out of nowhere the only way i was able to cope was by getting another blue pit bull male even gave him the same name, they both ended up losing their lives way too soon.
Sending hugs and prayers that someday your heart will mend, and you will give another lucky pet to be a part of your life again. Your fur baby is waiting to be reunited with you one day at Rainbow Bridge! 😞🐾🐾💔🫂

In old England, like maybe the late 1800’s on, the upper crust British used Pit-bulls with their children at all times, to guard them and play with them. These dogs were a cherished part of the family, just like this dog is! Very sweet child and dog.

Family is family, animal or human. Perhaps that something you're lacking, for which I'm sorry for you, it shows through your constant comment berating. Sad really.
@@katp6340 Family is family, but animals and people are not family since animals can only be a Part of a family and they are a completely different species, simple. So are you saying I am lying? Except when they’re not. One lives across from me and the owner allows it to run free from her garage to the house. It came charging at me and my 2 chihuahuas when I screamed as loudly as I could while trying to protect my dogs. She knows it’s violent; it’s behind chain link fencing. SOOOOO much love is this household. You can't fake clips like this - total bonding and love. Both small beings been showed lots of love- as a parent of numerous dogs and a couple of humans I can see that in a second ❤❤
So precious how they look after each other. I love how she put the blanket over her dog. We had a border collie when I was an infant/toddler . Mom said she was the best babysitter. Whenever I would try to climb the fence in the backyard to go play with the little boy who lived behind us, Missy would grab me by my pants leg and pull me down.
And when the parents, like these, teach their children to love and be gentle, the result is a wonderful loving bond. My family dog, a boxer, saved my life, when I was 5. Same gentle spirit as your sweet Pittie. 🙏🏽❤️😊🦋
Sorry but you guys have lost your minds… you can’t teach an infant… a couple of pulls of an ear or something is exactly the kind of play they do with their own pups.. By the time a child understands anything they have already learned by watching…the dogs aren’t some expensive China, they won’t shatter….there’s a big difference between abuse, purposeful pain infliction, or growing and learning… Dogs are intuitive… we’re the ones who are weak and making dogs weak with their support toys🙄🙄 It’s like everybody went to school to learn how to be a bubble boy….
@@miss0petersburgYou are truly what is wrong with this world. There is nothing wrong with being a gentle and loving person. These parents are what parenting is all about. Creating that important bond with your dog no matter what the breed. So sweet to watch. Well done Mum and Dad😊
I’m sure the couple in TN feel the same way after their pits unalived their two kids and almost the mom as well. They were big pit promoters and thought their sweet, loving pits would _never_ hurt their kids. These dogs were bread to fight, just like herding dogs were bred to herd. Parents should _never_ allow such an unpredictable, dangerous dog to be around their small children.
That dog's teaching that baby lots more than learning how to walk!. I'm 70 and I readily admit that some of my best teachers have been animals, starting first with dogs. She's still very young and yet has already grasped some of Life's Most Important Lessons. Things that most adults on our culture have yet to master. Oh, yeah! ❤ ❤
You’re so spot on and it really warms my heart and makes my soul smile to see so many people recognizing this in these comments. There’s so much negativity on social media that when I see a really positive comment thread like this it really stands out and affects me in a special way. People are so capable of showing love and gentleness and compassion and empathy but so many of us shut ourselves off in boxes and put up walls. I wish that many of us could embrace the lessons that other species of animal teach us every day. And the ones that do really set a positive example for those around them. Not everyone is bad, and I think many people are just scared and frustrated and feel backed into a corner and like they don’t have any options, which is understandable, but I think if we embraced each other and practiced empathy and compassion and understanding more often, even in simple small ways just in every day life with the people existing around us, our communities and towns and society would become so much stronger and closer knit, and together we could overcome those challenges and lack of choices that have so many of us backed against a wall feeling like there is no way out. I think dogs and cats are really good at showing the positive effects of things like this in the ways that they live their lives with other animals, and with humans too. They don’t expect anything, they don’t want to take anything, they find joy and connection in the small simple things like running or playing with a toy with each other or with their owners. They love and just want to be loved and they don’t leech the energy out of the world around them. And when you love them you immediately get love back without failure every single time. It makes me sad because there’s a really important reason why the majority of people say they’d rather spend their time with their dogs or cats or other animals than with other humans and I wish we as a society haven’t been led down this path of self righteous isolationism and the “everyone is bad except me, and it’s me verses everyone else” mentality that is keeping us separate from each other; that hyper focuses on our minor semantical differences and minimizes our collective similarities. Humans, just like dogs, cats, primates, and many other mammals are naturally social pack creatures, and this path of individualist culture that we’ve strayed down is fighting against our true nature. We don’t do well accomplishing major goals and having positive outcomes without communities of support and love and kindness. And people wonder why so many of us are sick or mentally ill, or suffering or alone or projecting all of our pent up repressed frustration onto everyone that crosses their paths. Individual people are not supposed to constantly be at war with total strangers. And in turn we as individuals are creating war against ourselves. We could learn so much from these animals if we stepped back and looked at the bigger picture, and stopped expecting so much from the world around us. Maybe if anyone out there reads this we can all try to make it a goal to do consistent small acts of kindness for total strangers without expecting anything in return, or to live our lives spreading more compassion, so that we don’t doom ourselves to a perpetual world of hatred and suffering, and so that we can build a better place for ourselves, each other and our wonderful four legged partners. Hope everyone has an amazing day 💜💜
I'm so very sorry you learned how to be a adult from a dog/pet and your parents weren't there in place to be your teachers, that's truly SAD! But what'd ya learn since you have chosen to make this family dog baby interaction about your upbringing and lack parental guidance? What did you learn from your family pet/teacher
@staceyfelts6346, 😢 that is so sad that you do not grasp the concept. We should learn and see that in everything and everyone there is a teacher. Sometimes you should be able to take things at face value. Life is already harse, see the beauty instead of intervening with negative energy. ❤
Pitties were originally called the “nanny dog” exactly because of the way they are with children. It’s so sad that people have used and abused them and they have suffered as a result. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us.😊
The majority are so sweet and loving, but they are still bloodsport dogs, and sadly, you never know when they will go into bloodsport mode and maul a small child or even a grown adult.
This is the very reason they were labeled the nanny dogs back long ago. Mine were/are just like this with my two young daughters. Unconditional love ❤️ 🐾
When I was a kid back in the 60s, we used to play in the alley behind my grandparents' house with the Murphy boys and their dog. He was a Staffordshire, and he would race along with us down the alley. We were a modern-day Little Rascals, lol This child has the bestest best friend... ❤
People who abuse pits are the people that gives pits the “bad” rap. My family always adopted and rescued pits from abusive owners. The pits were actually scared, nervous, and shy because they were afraid of my family being abusers. Once we started showing them the proper way to love them(took patience from our part) they were just some of the best dogs we ever had. They were so loving, gentle, kind, etc to everyone. Our friends couldn’t believe the complete turn around the pits made.
