I used to ship airfreight all over Europe before the days of satnavs'. I used to have a box of trusted Maps (written across of course), plus all the drivers that I met out in Europe always gave you really good tips of where to drive, where to stop and what to do when I arrived certain airports that I've never been before. I used to love getting across on the Ferry or Train into Europe, I find it so much easier to drive over there than here in the UK. I think the standard of driving is much better, plus the services put ours to shame. Keep up the good work. Kind Regards Andy
Thank you for sharing this video. You are so fortunate to have drive all the way to Switzerland and got to see the scenery and the beauty of Switzerland. Some one suggested earlier that you need to get a puppy to keep you company on such long haul. I would suggest that too. I have seen quite a few truckers who have puppies to accompany them. Being alone on such long haul drives can get pretty lonesome.
You are some kind of lady Lina. Big truck all the way to Switzerland on your own. That takes some doing, would frighten the life out of me. Great to paid to see that beautiful scenery though. Stay safe and all the best for the coming year. Mick☀️
Another good video, look after your next GoPro, you don't want that to go lol. Greanhaul are looking for holiday cover, you still helping them out, be good to see Norwich & Norfolk again lol
Greetings from Scotland! Just 2 seconds into the video (and at 9:02) you show a clip of you passing "Ferme Hotel" in Vuillecin, just North of Pontarlier! I have stayed there overnight in the past and I was also on my way home from Lausanne! I immediately recognised the hotel! I was actually returning from a place right down at the Eastern end of the lake at a place called Leysin, high up in the alps. A stunningly beautiful area! They had a great restaurant there too! Last time I was there was in May 2022 but with a car that time! Dover port was quiet on the way out wasn't it! I know what you mean about that road into Switzerland, the roads are what I call "proper driving roads!" You have to be respect them because they don't have any spare room, either side or under bridges do they! It was a very fancy place you dropped in Lausanne! Actually a basic room for the night isn't as much as you would expect (well not in mid January anyway!) at around £350 for a double room. And no, I haven't stayed there, but who knows, maybe one day....... 😊 Great video once again Lina! Thanks for taking us along! 😊😊👏👏👏👏
Stunning views Lina, well done you for getting over there alone. Have never tried driving an artic abroad. I presume with all the sat navs nowadays it`s not quite as daunting as it once was. Have fun...
Hi Lina what a wonderful video must be great to have such awesome scenery out of your office window. You should be proud of yourself solo trip to Switzerland 🇨🇭 brilliant job thank you for taking us along. Take care and stay safe 👍.
You never disappoint with your videos. Always enjoy watching where you go even if I will never get the chance. Sorry about your GoPro. Best wishes for everything you do and every where you go.
Great video Lina,I’m so impressed with everything you do. You’re the perfect advertisement for the modern day woman who challenges the barriers for women. Hope you have cleared your head of those sad thoughts.❤️
Hi Lina that was an awesome video stunning views. Well done you for doing the trip on your own. I do hope you are feeling better. As I always say always believe in yourself and follow your gut feelings as they will seldom lead you wrong.
Incredible trip Lina, glad it was the 1st part that you lost and not this bit. Seeing those views and visiting Lausanne must have perked your spirits up a bit I hope. Congrats on getting the contract and look forward to the next vlog. Thank you.
Oh man I'd luv to have a cheeky job like that! Nice drive there and then those mountain views look spectacular! If you ever need a 2nd driver hit me up 😜
Well many yers since I did Switzeland, but it is not like going to say Spain, the swiss do not like heavy loads on their roads and you may have to have some of the load off at the border so if you have say two drops best you know the weight of each so you can offload one complete load, they also charge by the day a road tax, now all that is a number of years old so now I will watch your video.
Hi Lina how do you plan for decent rest stops / overnights and places you can look after your personal welfare when travelling in Europe ? Are there any good Apps that help you out for places to stop
Trust you get paid for the downtime you encountered during that job, otherwise your out of pocket expence wise in a foeign country you may never go back to again.
