What technique would you use the most with this fancy spork. Also, Brig says the notches look like a mini swan on the top of the tool.

I did not really see the point in this tool until now, I liked that it was flat because it's a pain in the ass when they tangle with the bobbin holder but not enough to justify the price to me, the peacock yeah that's great but the Griffith's gnat...... That blew me away. Thank you

Not taking anything away from this “fly tying tool” but after 40 years of tying I know for me this tool would end up in a box currently filled with 4 blood knot tying tools, 1/2 dozen bobbins, 5 hemos , 4 zingers etc etc all purchased with good intentions but only to ultimately be headed to the local Flyfishing club as donations. Good luck fellas and Thank You Fly Fish Food people, love the channel.

Having lost my right hand I can see this tool being very beneficial to me. I’m going to give it a try.

Just purchased one of these and for someone without a lot of experience (me) it works great. I’m still very new to tying and it’s very forgiving to someone with fumble fingers (again me). Thanks for the video.

Don't know if it's worth 45 bucks, I already bought one! It a cool little tool. I have been tying hare ear nymphs with not only the dubbing but wire and pearl tinsel, give it a spin and the body is durable got a little bit of flash and it will not come apart. Really it's just a hair and copper with a little extra, the local Brookies like it, and it's been cold. # 16 scud hook.

"It looks like Lance tied it... kind of scraggly and ugly, but it will catch fish." :-D Good video.

A “must have” for the “tackle tarts” as we call them over here in Ireland, and I’m very much guilty of being one of them!

As you said it's worth it to consistently tie Griffiths Gnats, Thanks for the info.

12:11 - Why didn't you use a longer hackle? :) I'm really glad you did this video - the camera angle really helped me figure the "spork" side out much better.

Thanks for the demo. Is there an application for twisting two different colored wires together to create a body? For example, a brassie.
@FlyFishFood
@FlyFishFood 3 года назад
You could just just wrap the wires around the notches and spin her up!

Just twist peacock around the thread..... Depending whether you twist it clockwise or anticlockwise depends if when you grab it and wind it around the hook if it will tighthen more around thread or if it will unwind... Advantages are that its faster, easier than looping it...there is nothing in your way while winding it... Fly is probably as durable as with the loop tool.... But i cant be sure since i havent tried it. Why is it called multi loop tool? Should be able to create multi loops simultaneously?
@FlyFishFood
@FlyFishFood 3 года назад
You can use it for (multi)ple techniques. This is just an idea of what you can do with it. Sky is the limit though. Regarding the peacock, I really like the fact that I can get a tight loop without having to deal with the peacock slipping around.

@@FlyFishFood thanks for your kind reply. Would you consider making additional video with other techniques too? Multi loop for example.... Or just apply it in one of the following vids... Thank you.... I like your videos

What brand of vice are you using? I've never seen a purple vice.

Expensive ... and a definite tying luxury for a man of my means. BUT, no question that it is a very functional and well-made tool. There many items in life that are analogous, and much, much more of a cash lay out than a mere 45 loonies. So give me a few quality tools at my vise -- and I'll cut costs in other places :) It is all about making choices -- thanks for doing the informative and very useful review of this tool, Cheech.

Would you size the hackle the same using it this way? I haven't tried it yet, but I'm curious if you lose a bit of length while doing it like this.
@FlyFishFood

I’d just use the same size you would normally use

Whoever did the audio sound staging aka setting the proper gain on the Mike needs to be punished. Punishment is they can only fish with what they can buy at Walmart for one fishing trip.
