The swordmaster nerfs took the class down from S++++ tier to at least just S tier. But what's even more important are the LONGSWORD BUFFS finally the sword and shield meta has been vanquished.

im enjoying finding all these channels showing off fighters and death knights and swordmasters i am waiting for some mroe up to date priest play to learn from BUT, i'll take learning through the eyes of the other classes atleast :P also i wanna say i was shouting "NO LEAVE THE DEATHNKNIGHT ALONE HE HAS AN EXP SHIELD" at about 9:30 ...and then he actually started beatin' ya up and i just went "oh okay actually in that case fair game!"
Hey im new to dark and darker, like, 3 days into playing. This game seems like... it's literal twin.. almost a carbon copy! Is it better? Worse? What are your guys thoughts, those of you who have played both. I'm not fully invested into DaD yet, so I'm open to hearing contrasting opinions on these two games
Dungeonbornes combat feels way bettet, mage classes are not obnoxious to play, you can actually manage to solo extract without being a master at the game, there are no 10 different kinds of annoying merchants you have to click through, bandages actually heal you more then like 3% of your hp, the developers are not falling asleep and the artstyle is a matter of taste but i prefer it alot. Also the Map design in Dungeonborne is more varied.
Great clips Kelp! As a new player to the genre, I am finiding myself getting overwhelmed when i have a fighter or rogue just rush me and swing wildy. Any tips for handling that situation? My first priority is always the stamina perk for whirling blade reducing incoming damage, but i am always stuck in an attack animation when they swing at me lol
It's really just parry and strafe. You can use sword and shield against rogues if you're struggling with them. Because of how the whirling blade animation moves your character's head you can oftentimes dodge attacks with it if you're really aggressive
@@kevinroundsjr3102 lol yeah I have, but I was struggling to time when to stop blocking and start attacking and would end up taking more damage than I was dishing out lol. I have recently tried the DK with mace and found it much easier to get out of my block and on the attack.
this class is busted but you are playing well too so its a combo :) but it will get nerfed more be prepared. In the last fight you got a taste how its annoying to go against a SM
Most times i play SM with crossbow instead of sword+shield to get some damage in before entering meele or hitting them while running. do you play shield because of a big advantage i am not aware of or just personal preference?
They werent nerfs at all, hands down the most broken solo class, and it wont be fixed because they balance the game around trios. So if youre a solo and you dont like swordmaster, well dark and darker is free I guess.🎉
Lol this is why the more i think playing this game the more i realize I'll probably just get frustrated by getting my ass kicked by skilled players like you. It was fun though untill the anxiety won 🤣
