Thanks. Wasn't expecting a compliment for this 😂 . I'd say that's probably from my Kendo Training paying off because of course we get to actually strike a target. Even in Kata practice we really emphasise cutting to target despite the lack of contact but we have a partner so the maai quickly becomes habit . Gotta say though, it's (Tameshigiri) addictive. You feel like you're running out of tatami way too quickly...
