Today we are testing two synthesizer pedals by Boss, the SY-1 and the SY-200. Both work on Guitar and Bass, both come loaded with more than 100 different sounds, both are able to do much more than just synthesizing.
Watch this video to find out what I think about these pedals and also why I prefer them to dedicated Freeze/Hold/Sustainer pedals.

If I bought these I don’t think I would leave my house again. Would be too busy spacing out with cool sounds.

I knew You would like it :) Btw does the SY-200 have the same BOSS anoying feature that SY-1 has, that when You turn the power of Your pedalboard on, the pedal turns on, i have to turn off my SY-1 everytime i dont want to use it. I don't really understand why they are like that.

So far, all Boss seem to do that. Annoying yes. I think it can be modded, but that needs some soldering and what not. I just learn to live with it. Turn them (+1 other) off at start-up

@@mathiasohlson6265 Yeah, if it was analog i would mod it, i made a few pedals so soldering is not a problem, but probably as with all other boss pedals with this type of switch, i would have to drill a hole in it and pud normal true bypass switch in it probably.

Lukas mate!!! Thanks for the recommendation (and saving me money by not buying the Superego +) 😃 To your question, yes it does turn on when you power up the pedalboard! Personally I don't mind that, but there you go! 😆
