@@quan-uo5ws The Panther D has dogshit turret traverse compared to similar vehicles at its BR and an atrocious reverse gear. As someone who has played both Germany and USSR 5.3, I used to think that the Panther D was undertiered, but having good traverse speed and superior mobility when turning and slightly better reverse like in the T-34-85 D-5T is actually really useful. Now comparing the 5.7 Panther A to the T-44-85, the T-44 has significantly better armor (other than the small, yet certainly trolly overlapping plates on the mantlet of the Panther), both the front which is about 160mm equivalent on the hull while the Panther has about 120mm, and especially the turret and hull sides, the latter being nearly as thick as that of a Tiger and a smaller profile along with better mobility, but an inferior gun. Based on that either 6.0 or 6.3 BR makes sense for the T-44, but certainly not 6.7.

ACBC is definitely better it always oneshots plus very good angle penetration

It still makes no sense that this thing with only 135mm of pen has the same angled performance as Panther’s 75mm gun with 55mm more pen. Blunt nosed shells are overperforming in this game.

@@AFT_05G It makes a lot sense because there's a big difference between penetrating a flat plate and an angled one. Blunt shells are always superior to sharp shells as long as they are overmatching armor. The issue is that in WT, blunt shells have all the advantages of blunt shells but none of the downsides.

I just take a few APCBC shells just for more frontal penetration. It's like the better APCR but with HE filler but yeah I mostly take APBC because it's very powerful, can't count the amount of times I killed angling tanks with this shell. Even with a T-34-85, using this shell guarantees killing higher tier tanks with one well-placed shot T-44 is basically a more survivable T-34-85 with a trolly turret

as experienced soviet tank player,i must warn you that..T-44 and T-44 100 has bouncy gun and you need extra skill to shoot while moving

Be prepared for the max uptiers agains tanks that you could not even pen with your best round. Also your armor will be useless against a lot of tanks with rockets, HEAT-FS or APAFSDS. Use it mostly in urban combat and shoot the enemy tanks' side armor. You have basically nuclear shells so they will be dead almost every time. You also have good reverse speed, use it to retreat if you have a chance.

T-44 is actually a very small tank with good frontal armor.

85 d5t is a good MT, except its stupid cupola. Soviet tank are the worst at stock condition, but they are ops with full module.

Bro, Maus' armor is so thick, there's literally no way for a T-34 or T-44 to penetrate it normally. Only place you can pen is the roof or belly armor. That thing is also so big, the explosion rarely ever allows you to ammorack the tank, especially when there are also 20mm plates inside the tank that can stop fragments and spalls. Even higher caliber guns struggle against it unless it's flat (an angling Maus is a scary Maus).

it's slightly better than the panther f, so idk why it's at 6.7 rather than 6.3 or 6.0. it has the chi-to syndrome, which is at 4.7 while being barely comparable to the panzer iv h at 4.0, and by that i mean being inferior in every way except horsepower and a slightly higher top speed.

Even IS-2 can’t pen that place unless the angle of the plate decreases when Tiger II tries to climb through a steep.

@@casualthunder418 Just please when you happen to play it, don't play it like a stereotypical German main. It's far better than what people give it credit for, but those who drive like headless chickens and act as if they're indestructible ruin the tank's reputation. Play with it defensively and always make sure to angle it, because when it angles, APDS and even early APFSDS will struggle to pen you. And make sure to not use the 88mm shell as that has significantly worse explosive filler and actually has worse angled pen due to the lower caliber of the shell.
