Hi Mark, Thanks for the great program. I was unaware that English settlers brought them over for hunting. Also, for the red fox to expand their range that rapidly is amazing.
Funny little story-Last spring, I was sitting outside about 3:00 in the morning. Heard some fox screams in the distance. I had a “bright” idea to load RU-vid and play a fox scream to see if the fox would respond. By his responding screams, I could tell the fox was moving but it didn’t sound like he was getting any closer. Well, he snuck up on me without me seeing him. He let out a full scream not 50 feet from me. Scared me to death! He went on about his business giving me a sideways glance every once in a while until he got out of sight.
Mark, I hope you have a speedy recovery. I have joined the hummingbird level. How long are the nature hikes? When you are able to do them I have an idea you might want to consider.
@@RichardFerstandig Thank you! I’m actually fully recovered from the broken leg and we are doing hikes in September and October. If you go to www.backyardbirdcenter.com/calendar you can see the schedule of our upcoming hikes.
