This song is by far the best one in my opinion from the amolad album. I honestly didn't care for it, apart from this one, Different World and The Longest Day.

@@crazyking1896 Weirdly enough, this is one of my least fave from that album. Repetitive & overlong like a few of their modern songs. But hey that's just me, apparently lots of fans still love it. An album full of "Rime's" does not the greatest album make, I hope they realise this before they retire (not that I want that ever to happen)

I still love the sound of all their modern songs, it's just some of them are a bit self indulgent & need some of the 'fat' trimmed (overlong, quiet intro's, too many repeated choruses, eg. "Angel & Gambler"). It's as if they feel like everything has to be as long as possible these days. Songs like "Fear of the Dark", "Hallowed..." etc, make such an impact cos they stand out. If it's mostly epic songs on an album, the epic-ness starts to lose it's impact sometimes.

I thought they would all morph into the beast since they all had the same face. Interesting video, a lot of symbolism and messages being stated within it.

Eddie in the video does exactly what I did when I was swayed from multiple sides, and all I could see was anger, hate and violence in each of these parties when they pretended to offer love and peace. Let them fight over it if they want, but that does not mean that you must too. The most important thing for me at least, is that we treat each other with respect and kindness. the main mistake is some people not really follow what they religion say, that is why they still fight each other

Shortly after reading about the Civil War and slavery (on my own, because in the 1980's, the LAUSD didn't teach such things), Maiden released "The Number of the Beast". Of course every song on it was awesome and I played them to death. But it was "Run to the Hills" that taught me everything I needed to know about how we actually treated Native Americans.
