It’s creepy to us but the reason crows are good at mimicking is because they can copy the sounds of other animals to blend into their environment via sound. Crows are smart though. They can copy the noise of prey to mislead them.
Its beyond creepy when you think about how much access they have to our minds subliminally. Constantly flying around our heads planting seeds of who knows what. Protect your thoughts
Makes me wonder why we don't hear mocking birds talk they make in my opinion much more complicated noises than human speech so I feel they just don't want to
@@isopodslug6365 Mockingbirds are too unintelligible when they mimic speech. Starlings and other mynas can mimic human speech but only just barely, often sounding more like a badly warped record. But Mockingbirds/thrashers are even worse to the point that you can't understand them if they try it.
Most Parrots follow pavlovian responses as well as important survival tactics, whilst Corvids try to understand patterns and actually try to learn through association.
@JustARoamer Yes they mimic the human voice, but they do also all have their own range. Ravens produce a deeper sound and Jackdaws all sound like children when they speak.
The scary cool thing is replicating the whole voice tone and pitch too, exact same sound. In the time that she repeats the words, it’s like the bird is registering and preparing an exact impression, fascinating stuff!!
This woman is a crow whisperer, she's good at this 😂 The crow is pretty talented himself... ....just waiting for him to answer her "I have a bad cough, do you have a bad cough?" with "I didn't but now that you're coughing in my face lady..., sheesh."
It's actually incredible that crows can mimic human voices like parrots can, I think that's why they are considered tricksters in Native American mythology
@@talkingcrow8096 I looked at the clip again and I think it is wonderful what you have done. Why don't you show more clips with this exceptional crow. Greetings 😊!
This just happened this morning: A neighbor is building or repairing something on his house, and was periodically running a skill-saw (kinda high screechy sound) every morning & evening some crows come to the big shade tree in my front yard to hunt bugs. They all chatter and call to each other, as I enjoy their calls from my open window. But this morning, this particular vocal crow started imitating the skill saw! The neighbor would run his saw; then the crow would imitate it almost perfectly! It was eye opening😮and delightful to hear. It’s the little inexpensive things in life that make it all worthwhile…
This is so endearing, the corvids are really great birds as a Family, capable of such complexity! 🤩 Our Blue-crowned Conure is a "sympathy" cougher and sneezer, and is quick to make those sounds when he hears us doing it. We call it his "Sick Bird Call" lol 🤧🦜😪 In truth, we suspect it's probably a mixture of sympathy and mockery of us suffering house monkeys! 🏠🐒 🤣
I am absolutely in love with Raven's. They sound like their loving owners, they have their own quirky personality and quirks too...not to mention quarks. Love your Jimini Crowket....wait, is he a Raven or a Crow?!
