She passed at the age of 39. The man is still walking but it breaks my heart that I watched this thinking she was okay to find out she passed :(

There’s no greater feeling than the one you get when you meet someone who truly understands you.

This man needed to be a giant to fit that huge heart in his chest...

RIP... Yao Defen passed away in 2012 :(

Before he mentioned he had a wife I was like 2 extremely tall peopel=a match made in heaven

Sadly, Yao Defen passed away in 2012. May her soul rest in peace.

I just want to build him a house that he can stand up at full height and not feel uncomfortable in his own home.

As a Chinese person, the words he spoke were much more touching than how the translations were. We must all be confident in who we are and not care for the negativity around us. Be yourself, for being different is something to take pride in.

Her deep voice is due to her vocal cords being bigger. But ,seriously, can we atleast contain the *obscene* jokes/offenses towards this poor woman. She was already suffering in this video and has passed away. Give her atleast a little respect.

I think it’s really cool that he wanted to go meet her when he heard she was in the hospital. I love how positive he is and how he wanted to go and visit her to try and keep her positive. I love how she started smoking so much when he was talking to her. I can’t imagine how much that would mean to finally meet someone who is the same as you and tells you it will be okay and just to push through.

Her voice is WAY deeper than his. This was so sweet of him to do this! It’s nice!

I think it's very unfair that people didn't get together and build this guy a house for his hight. His back has to be hurting him bending over all the time. Maybe he'll start walking straight if he could stand straight everywhere he gos.

I saw a documentary on the worlds tallest women. And Its sooo odd how different they experience things. He has had multiple girl friends and is married? Yao was always alone and could never find anyone because they all thought she was a freak. I guess its just more socially acceptable for a male to be much larger? When he told that he was engaged, I got sad. I was thinking he was single and the two could possibly date lol. Oh well. Nonetheless, its sweet he took the time. And its true. You have to be positive! He has a lovely life because he doesn`t shelter himself and works with the life he was dealt with. I understand not everyone can have that same mental strength. Yao was just soo soo lonely and sad. I think she just couldn`t muster up the strength to overcome her condition and get out there and try to love her life. It`s sad, but I hope she now has some peace.
