The Talleys latest single, The People In The Line, is a song about our daily interaction with people around us. Follow the story through the concept video of how God brings people into our path and how we need to respond.
It reminds me of a story my dad told us growing up. My grandfather, dad and his brother were home builders. One day, another worker showed up in the morning with a nasty attitude. He was awful to my grandfather. The two sons asked him, “why don’t you do something? That guy has no right treating you like that”. My grandfather replied, “I’m not going to anything, I don’t know what he’s going through. But we can pray for him. “ Later that day, the worker approached my grandfather. He said he was sorry for his awful attitude and for treating my grandfather poorly. My grandfather, of course accepted his apology. The worker continued, he said he was in a bad mood. He and his wife had just found out the previous day, that their child had leukemia. After work, my grandfather sat my dad and uncle down, to tell what the worker said. They felt ashamed. He continued, you boys never know what someone else may be going through, so always be mindful of that. I passed that story along to my son. Of course thinking he didn’t even listen. Then, years later, he wrote a paper in college based on that very story. ~sorry for the long comment, but I felt lead. God bless you all. May you be filled with the Holy Spirit
it sure does i had a hard day at work a man was seen carrying a cross down the road and my coworkers were talking about him and i told them not to do that because that was his testamony and they laughed and that cut to the bone. but i guess God knew i needed to hear this song to know maybe they have something going on in their life that we need to pray for them for. yall just pray for me and my coworkers
Lauren Talley has such an amazing voice, like no else (except her mother), and every song she sings is a winner! And she shows the love of Jesus in her singing!
I've listened to this so many times with compassion. Who knew I would break down at the register while my Dad was passing away. I apologized to everyone but the tears would not stop. Surely we would have more love if we only knew. What are we going to do?
Once again, you've moved me to get choked up. Ms. Talley, you are so awesome. God bless your mommy and daddy for giving you to us and raising you right.
My class 2 years ago acted out everything that happened in the video as the song played in the background THE WHOLE SCHOOL LOVED IT it was only to spread the word that Jesus asks us to think about others first not ourselves 2 years later I STILL LOVE THIS SONG
LOVE this song & the video was well worth the wait!!!!!!!! Being a Talley's fan, I knew they were making it & was eager to see it when it was finished. It made cry and made me think. And that is one of the great things about this group. Esepcially since the song The Broken Ones they have recorded songs like this & it is my heart. More than top of the line singers, they communicate messages that are so needed today!!!!!!! For me, NO other group can come close!!!!!!! :-)
I love this song. Wow, it sure is timely and so true. Done so good. God help us to not be so self centered, so we can be in tune with others needs. Love Jimmy Pleasant.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. ~~ Philippians 2:3-4
I absolutely love this song because it is truly an eye opener for so many of us, we all truly need to take time and listen carefully to this song before we start our daily lives.
As many times as I have watched this I still tear up every time. Lord Jesus please help me to see clearly to treat others with kindness as I meet them in the line and on the road, and in the pew.
Each time I watch this video I get choked up. The words and music are anointed by God. After hearing this beautiful song, I had it played at my Daddy's funeral. He was definitely a "Hidden Hero" that made such a difference in so many lives. Thank you, Tally family, for recording this song. It is truly a blessing. You are truly a blessing!
First time to see this; a powerful and touching way to open our eyes to see the hurting and needy in our midst! Thank you for sharing this clear reminder of our main MISSION; reaching the lost and hurting on Jesus' behalf.
At first watching this video it show the present Me.Actually I am a person that has it good and evil side.Sometimes when we get into line and there is a person that making useless conversation I easily judge them. But just like in the video we should be kind and gentle to everyone beacause everyone of us has it's own struggle and burden in thier lives.Let us pray for everyone who is in need and be ACCOUNTABLE.
Love you Lauren. You have such a beautiful heart. I love seeing this at your concerts. You, and your Mom and Dad are in my Prayers. Safe travels wherever you may be.
I recently discovered your music. I liked That Looks Like Jesus to Me. This song is creative. I saw you on 3ABN, I love their programs. I pray for people all around me. Thank you, God bless you!
My cousin Scott had muscular dystrophy muscles deteriorate the most common and no cure for him He died at age 19. and my uncle Bill and Nancy took him upstairs every night to put him to bed. Brian his brother saw his dad and mom on the same day Bill then Nancy the year after and then my father a year later on the same day. Scott I remember pushing him around. Mike Brodell had a tumor in his brain and I talked to him and he told me he was going to heaven. My mother babysat him and Lisa who was thre at the time. I will never forget them because I will see the again. When he was with my mom and I I would tease him like a younger brother. I didn't know Jesus then but I will see him again.
We Are Have Different lives And God Has Given All of us Different Job's some People Are paid In Money and Others in Different Way's.Thank you God Sorry some People Don't Understand
The people in the line They make me pretty mad sometimes Days when I've got a lot to do They do something and the line won't move But things being what they are Chances are good That there's a broken heart Standing In front of me or right behind And I know it's Jesus Who brings that to my mind About the people in the line The People on the road In the traffic everywhere I go Cut in front or pass me way to fast I go crazy when they drive like that But I wonder if it just might be There's someone somewhere That they need to reach They're drive barely hanging on to hope So I pray to have more grace For the things I don't know About the people on the road People all around me that I barely see In need of mercy, in need of peace Struggling underneath a heavy load Jesus died for the people in the line And the people on the road The people in the pew The ones sitting next to me and you The mom who's face is frozen in a frown Her son's sitting in cell downtown A man crying as we sing the songs A girl with needle tracks all down her arms We've all got something that We're going through Surely we'd have more love if only knew About the people in the pew People all around me that I tend to judge Jesus only sees that they need His love And I hear him asking what I'm gonna do For the people in the line The people on the road And the people in the pew
How can I get permission to play this video & music at our church. I don't see it listed on CCLI. Please let me know. I am the worship leader. I believe this song would be great for our mission conference.

Buy her music at itunes.apple.com - I did - major musical gifts Dr. Lauren Talley has at the level of Marilyn McCoo (the tall one in the 5th Dimension), Agnetha Faltskog (the blonde in ABBA), Olivia Newton-John, and Annie Haslam (of Renaissance). Dr. Tallley is in my top ten and I am happy to see this breakout video as she sends her music OUTWARD.
