Not a big fan of using your phone as main avenue of needing to do anything crypto. Everything monitored on your phone, if app is down, you’d have to use your seed phrase on either another device manually, and also, downloading the tangem app links the data to your iCloud account from App Store. All data will be then linked to you. Anything you do crypto, is completely tied to that iCloud app data. Also what if for whatever reason, all cellular/phone services are shut down, you going to hold over 6 figures without fdic insurance or any type of insurance if you can’t access it? I’ve been in crypto since 2012, I’m def not a fan of relying on an App Store app, not to mention link the app to my iCloud data with my crypto. I’d get it on a cold storage. 1000%, and something that can be accessed on the pc with physical device.
Just bought it because you took the time to explain everything. Other influencers just show how it works without much explanation. That's why I decided to use your link to buy.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
So if someone steals two cards, they can gain control of our account by resetting the access code. Of course, I keep all three cards in different places, but this nuance should be taken into account
Hi, i don’t understand very well this point of the terms and conditions: 7.4. Loss or damage incurred by Cardholder in connection with the possession or use of Tangem Wallet (Card) and/or Official Mobile Application shall be borne solely by Cardholder. Tangem assumes no liability if Tangem Wallet (Card) and/or Official Mobile Application cannot be used due to a technical defect or because it has been canceled, blocked or the spending limit has been adjusted. What if the App stop to work? We lose our assets?
pretty much; unless you find an interchangeable wallet that can restore a tangem wallet based on the cards. other wallets like ledger and trezor can restore wallets just based on the 12/24 seeds even if it was originally created on a different wallet. one would just have to make sure both wallets use the same seed words "dictionary".
“Our products will remain functional in any circumstance: the Tangem App code is available on GitHub; it can be rebuilt even if Apple and Google remove it from their app stores.”
Thank you very much, Aaron! I’ve been using Tangem since the beginning of the year. I love this hardware wallet and how safe it is to store my crypto in. Cheers! 🍻
Good morning, how are you? I ordered 3 pack card try to install to my iphone 15 pro max, but couldn’t it’s scanning to 4 seconds and it interrupts, contact with support, they aware about that problem but can’t fix, now I’ve those cards can’t use them , try to get my refund can’t do it either.
@@JohnS-mq2mu When you are generating a new wallet with your cards there is also option to generate seed wich you need to write down. And that's it. 1 card is main and 2 other are backup in case you loose them. If you loose 3 of them you still have a seed to restore your wallet.
Who can tell me how to transfer USDT from OKX wallet to Binance? There is only a seed phrase: head isolate sound end kit industry choice festival limit stable dolphin derive
There are a lot of things that are not clear, but interesting) Sorry for the stupid question, maybe someone here can tell me if there is USDT in my wallet, how can I transfer it to binance? There are only words: head isolate sound end kit industry choice festival limit stable dolphin derive. I don’t know the password, I don’t know anything else, how can I withdraw money with only these phrases?
I am still not sold on this wallet, but placed an order as my Nano S display is dying. Won't order that product again for sure! :) Used your code dude!
Hello, love the vid! Order with code! One quick question, when swapping within the Tangem wallet do I need to provide KYC to the actions or does it just automatically do it? Thanks!
After dealing with the Celsius bankruptcy, I can't help but wonder: if the Tangem app goes defunct, are our cryptos still safe? 🤔 Just curious if anyone has thoughts on this
Could you explain to us how the IRS taxes us? I'm looking at cash app. They make it super simple to use to buy & sell. Don't cash app send you a form to show the IRS of your activities each year?
From the Tangem help pages: When a backup is created, a secure communication channel is established between the cards using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol, after which the keys are transferred from one card to the other. This mechanism is fully protected against man-in-the-middle attacks since the first step involves the cards authenticating each other with a two-way attestation, and the encryption is done with a 256-bit key. This is a top-level encryption protocol, and the application will not be able to decrypt the keys under any circumstances.
Need ur help plase create a video how to connent tangem wallet with decentralised Dex like uniswap or pancakeswap etc Thanxx bro waiting urs this topic video
Since all you need is one of the three wallets (plus access code) to load up the wallet, you could probably leave one in a trust to be given to whoever you want after you die.
I received my Tangem wallet about a week ago and I've transferred a few tokens. What happens if I change phones? Will I still be able to use the wallet on another phone?
Aaron, ordered a pack3 with your link. Just wanted to support and thank you for last year consistent effort on Celsius, quite a bit reading/summarizing for us🙏 Keep us posted on Ionic please.
I bought the two card pack but haven’t activated it yet because everyone says get the 3 card pack instead. Can I just order 1 token card or do I have to buy a whole new 3 card set? 😢😊
if you dont add a seed phrase. If anyone has access to your phone, biometrics and tangem wallet. They can just reset the access code and get in easily!?
What happens if we don’t use the seed phrase and continue without it? Could we go back and re-set up the process and have seed phrase if we decide to do want the seed phrase ??
Do you know if you need to revoke contracts after you do the swap the way you have shown in the video. I’ve seen a couple of things about it lately but don’t really understand it and not sure when I do and don’t need to do it.
I’ve only done that when connecting wallets to dexes. So like connecting a metamask to uniswap. Then I’ll disconnect them. But if it’s all within Tangem, I don’t believe that’s possible or even necessary.
So if you want to swap for example BRETT (BASE) to an ETH network it will work on tangem? I thought you have to be on the same network to make a swap or it will get lost or not go through
@@abennett does Tangem allow this? And one more question. Is it safe to connect your Tangem wallet to a decentralized exchange using wallet connect? I’m scared of getting my Tangem wallet compromised
Manage tokens. Type kas. Click the check for main. Then you’ll have a receive/deposit address for kaspa. You’ll paste that address into uphold to send. Always try $5 or a very small amount first.
Do we have to complete a KYC process? I don't see that anywhere in Tangem, and I've been sending coins to Tangem for a couple months. I thought it was required by law. I don't see anyone talking about it.
@@abennett Wow, I wonder why? What about all of the crypto I've been buying from coinbase, which eventually ends up in Tangem? Wouldn't the government see the money going in, but nothing coming out? I'm holding everything for now.
If you get a 3 pack and lose one card, yea, you could buy another two pack and I believe add one card so you’d have 3 again. If you lose all 3, you lost your crypto. So treat the cards as if they have crypto themselves.
@@abennett I unfortunately only got the 2 card pack, so was wondering if I could buy another 2 card pack and add them to the existing wallet, having 4 cards total on one wallet. Or at least add 1 of the cards to then have 3 active cards...
@@abennett If you setup with 3 cards and lose 1 or even 2, you cannot add another card to the same original wallet setup. You have to set up an entirely different wallet again with another 2 or 3 Pack.
@@fair98fair Probably best to just use it for 'pocket money'. Unfortunately Ledger is still your best bet for regular use. Do not sign up for their recovery service though and always use the additional 'pass phrase' option in addition to the 'seed phrase'. The Bitbox 2 is not a bad wallet too.
@@2003fordranger They are basically a software wallet that uses an app and smart card. The smart card tec is nowhere near as secure as a traditional hardware wallet. They now give an option to use seed phrase but it is generated on their servers not the device like a traditional hardware wallet. It should be treated at best the same as your browser hot wallet and the value stored on it adjusted accordingly.
Swap it to USDC. I don’t use Tangem as a fiat off-ramp. So I’d either swap whatever coins I have to eth or usdc and then send it to my Coinbase account. Hope that makes sense.
