Welcome back!
This episode highlights the journey of Mawlana Kamal Hussain through his studies in institutions dominated by Tablighis, Fultalis and Salafis. He expounds on the desire to learn Arabic and its teaching methods, followed by his journey to al-Azhar University in Egypt and the events that transpired afterwards. He expresses his utmost respect to his teacher (also called Mawlana Kamal) and Shaykh Abdul Latif Chowdhury, both of whom have passed on after dedicating their lives for Islam [May God almighty have mercy on them and grant them Paradise].
Guest Speaker:
Mawlana Kamal Hussain is a graduate of Darul Hadis Latifiah's Alimiyyah programme in 2001. He went on to study at the al-Azhar University in Egypt under the instruction of his teachers and eventually returned to the UK where he completed his degree in Arabic from the University of Westminster.
He completed supplementary qualifications whilst also becoming a teacher at the school he graduated from and has personally taught Arabic to the core team of Tarikhology. He also taught at the London East Academy and was an Imam at the mosque in Brick Lane until he decided to try a new venture and went back into education, studying software development.
He currently works as a software developer whilst also teaching Arabic online in his free time.
We request everyone to watch the entire episode completely before commenting as it allows you to fully appreciate the discussion.
