What if Insym’s stats and play history is so expansive over the last few years the game freezes while trying to render the stats to put into the journal? It freezes most often when he loads into a map, just after gaining control over his character
This seems like a joke but what if it's actually true. He needs to make a backup of his save and reset his history to see if it fixes it. Literally suffering from success.
New rule idea: There's a second cursed posession in the map, set to random. You unlock this second cursed posession (plus Lighters if it's a Summoning Circle) on a Fool Death card.
The yureis have been very aggressive with their abilities recently for me too, I don't think you're alone... I hear their abilities before I get the damn freezing temperature
they seem to have fixed spirit box at least, once the update hit it took me 20 minutes to get spirit box. it seems like it might be a while before all evidence items are fixed.
@@dordly The spirit box on tier 1 is SUPER unreliable so it might be just that. You have to be very close to the ghost and the chance it answers is still pretty low.
Regarding the room bug Insym talks about (7:39) : me and my friend recently had a shade in the room across from the 'bugged' room who went to the 'bugged' room during hunt, walked out to the hallway, then back to the room and so on during the entire hunt. It didn't care that I was sitting in the middle of the hallway with all equipment turned on 😃 That was so weird.

Tower: Draw EMF if haven't gotten yet; Look for an EMF Reading for 30 seconds, draw 1 item if found, discard 1 item from wheel/wall if not Devil: Draw a camera if not acquired yet, and draw 1 item otherwise. Draw an additional +1 item when getting ghost photo during devil event. ALSO, Discard 1 item from wheel/wall if ghost event touches you. Death: Draw 2 items. The Fool: Draw the most recently discarded item, taking it from the discard pile and adding it to what you now have. Draw an additional +1 item if the fool was a Hanged Man or High Priestess. High Priestess: Draw 2 items ONLY once the High Priestess revives a player. (Duplicates stack; as an example, 2 High Priestess reward 4 items when a revive occurs) Hanged Man: Draw +1 item assuming the game is not over, and acquire all items from the discard pile when the last tarot card is used up. Multiplayer Changes: Hermit: The next person who draws has to draw inside of the ghost room, door closed Death: Draw 1 item, plus an additional item for each player that dies. I would say that if you’re doing a string of these, a hanged man that kills you (no priestess) could give you one item-of-choice at any point in the next map. Allowing you to negate bad luck with rolls, or to get an evidence item after you’ve developed a hunch about the ghost and want some confirmation. Or… just start the next map with three instant free item rolls.
Hey Insym, I wanted to ask two things. Try switching the Phasmo location to your other drive. so if you have two ssds, move the game file to your second SSD. Usually these stutters that happen is a drive issue (FOR PHAS). Maybe your drive is started to slow down, give it a shot it will take you 5 mins and I hope this helps
I hope someday they will add a ghost with as trait that it's impatient and gets more aggressive as time goes on, like after 5 minutes it can hunt regardless of sanity
If the tower card remains bugged it might be a fun idea to roll the wheel and if you land on an item you already have it's a dud. If it's a new item you get the item.
The only thing that could add to this challenge is having random map selection or large maps only either choice is yours Insym but love the challenges you do always fun to watch you have fun wether you die or win 😂❤👍👏👏
Rule changes : If You get high-priestess card, you'll unlock all the items when you die on anything (death card, Low Sanity, heart pin, etc.) [OR] You can get any two (I think that'd be fair) items of your choice.
I have had a game where my PC has always crashed but every other game didnt, ended up being memory, also a quick way to see if it is associated with memory is to disable XMP and see if it freezes still. You will NEVER fix this issue if you think the devs are the solution.
I would never play this game myself, not for me, but somehow watching you really got a hook in me. Really enjoying your videos. I've seen quite a few times, you saying that the camp map is bad; would you be willing to show it anyways? Maybe also the other maps you aren't playing, I saw something called "The Prison" as well?
Im having same issue Insym! Initialization freezes my whole computer using high memory and cpu, but games like demonglosist runs fine. And it crashes my OBS if i switch the game to phasmo. Like i cleaned, updated , moved game memory to an empty drive...like its ONLY this game that does it 😢
Bro my game freezes alot and crashes just phas and my friends have 0 problems with it. Im on windows 11 pro with a amd ryzen 7 7700x and a gtx geforce 1060 3gb (i built my new pc before getting a new graphics card) and msi ssd with 32gb corsair ram and a b640 gaming x ax gigabtye mb.
Insym i am sorry but i also believe is your computer with the freeze. Me and other 2 friend have no problem. Something after an updated got fucked up in your pc? Something in windows files i don't know. You should try and do a format. Even though i should say this game uses a lot of ram some times even 16gb. But yeah do a format
@Insym Isn't it the voice recognition "Windows" that does these type of hiccups seems to be related to everyone that has it, but running it via "Vosk" recognition setting it should never hiccup like that and just completely freezy from what I've recalled people saying?
5:01 "I don't know if it's just my luck or I've just been getting good yureis, but I've been getting the yurei ability nonstop" I don't think it's just you, I feel like they've secretly done something on the back end regarding that particular ability- whether intentional or not, I can't say. Up until about two weeks ago, I'd seen the yurei ability twice in 440 hours and once was a mimic. In those two weeks since I said that I've seen it about 11-13 times; literally every yurei I encounter does it within a minute or two of me entering the building and it feels crazy common now. One of them even did it TWICE. EDIT: 24:57 & 25:12 - SEE WHAT I MEAN!?
Science the last update i got 2 major bugs that are super annoying 1. When i open the game and join my first round i load for ages like super looong but in my second game i have normal loading speed and from the 3 and so on i load for 1 sec max and am always the first in the truck. 2. During my first round i hear no global com and if pp use it i just hear them like they talk in the vacinety (no clue how this is spelled) like normal wich sucks super hard as i have no c clue what my team is doing as soon as i dont goaround with them or they split up.
apparently there is a sweet spot for phasmophobia with pcs. my friend who has a slightly better pc then me constantly gets kicked from games caused from nothing and i with an i7-2600 and rx 460 can run the game fine with a few fps drops but other than that its fine
you should allow items for red wheel and moon cards and then you could minus items for fool cards. Maybe minus the previous item you received prior to the fool, like an uno reverse card.
Tarot roulette is fun and all but I’m not a fan of pulling cards single player. The amount of perfect investigations that got ruined from a hanged man is frustrating. Plus, I’ll never even pull them if I’m just trying to get a hunt because it’s not guaranteed and there’s a chance of dying randomly before getting one. The only time I’ll ever really use them is if I’m not taking the game seriously.
Having the light on prevents the ghost from doing some things, like throwing objects. Which is why that obake was acting like a shade. The lights being on might also be preventing the tower card interaction(I am not sure if it is supposed to do that, but it would explain why it isn't working).
me and my friend did a all cursed possessions game and i died playing with the Ouija board so he wished for life using monkey paw and then he died cause he started a hunt and first try i pull a high prestise XD
A lot of people say that, which would explain why it isn't working. Since he always has the light on in the ghost room and the ghost can't throw things while the light is on. So increased activity doesn't do anything.
I have an RTX 3060 and an i5 4460, and I was running Phasmophobia with 30 fps! That was annoying, but after so many tries, I fixed it by going to system properties > advanced > performance config: Best performance. And now I'm playing Phasmophobia at 180 fps easily. Edit, it was a config from system not from game.
Hey Insym please revisit these games for challenges after Phasmo's anniversary or this coming Halloween season to spice up your October! (I already suggested these in the forms and I wanted to follow it up here in case you might read it) 1. i do get the freezes (technical performance) on rare occasions but not nearly as much as you do. seems like every other match for you. for me its like 1 in 200 games EDIT: just out of curiosity, do you get the freezes while RECORDING/STREAMING software is NOT running?????? thats all i can think of
Mate, you really are unlucky... I opened at least 20 tarrot cards pack and The Hanged Man is the only one I miss from cursed objects collection... Literally got them all but that one lil card...
Same rules except when u get a high priestess u get all items for 1.30m to try get the ghost them u drop everything and try survive a hunt with nothing at all in the dark . If u survive u can stay and use 2 items of ur choice but if u die then u have to leave and guess the ghost unless u found it out with that 1.30m
Phasmo is the only game that gives me issues, sometimes Astroneer freezes for a moment but it never crashes. But with the big update, my game has been super slow to load, it was fine just before that. My friend loads near instantly, but most of the time the first handful of loading times are abysmal, and after awhile it acts like I just booted the game up again.
You got lucky with Yureis , I had a Yurei in 0 sanity and even though I used all crucifix charges and smudge sticks and stayed in the ghost room , it took Yurei 23 minutes to do it's stupid ability.
Wouldn't be a cool rule that the hermit card would make a room "locked" for insym... like if he's in the ghost room and draws a hermit card he has to leave the room and can not enter it for the 1 minute... for hunts and so it would make a funny problem if he "locks" a connection for himself
Phasmo in on Unity engine isn't it? Now that Unity has torpedo itself with all the fees... How is the game going to fare? What DK says about the situation?
I think they may have buffed INTERACTION IN GENERAL, since the yurei does ability much more and any ghost writing ghost writes in book MUCH MORE now. I love T3 writing book
I feel like it's *ever so slightly* broken to have the activity monitor since you already get an EMF with your first tower card. I suppose you could justify it on the off-chance you never get Tower but still
20:50 Im pretty sure that the amount of hours and runs you have is the culprit. Might be very big logs or other files which gets loaded in the start and then suddenly garbage collection
100% never seen any other streamer freeze or at only almost 900 hours have never froze soo.. maybe the devs are actually right for once in your mind lol
This is Monday morning quaterbacking but it hurt my soul at the end to hear him thinking banshee when he already knew it couldn’t because it didn’t give dots or uv lol. Glad his wits told him no lol
I remember by first and only time that I got tarot cards was just wheel of fortune with a hermit and then finally a sun. My group told me I was so lucky, so it funny to see other use the cards and see the effects.
I feel like a rule that could make this more consistently doable would be this; 1. If an item is required for an objective, it gets automatically unlocked when you run out of cards, and 2. Any objective completed unlocks 1 item.
