SEEN BOB! I was looking for a twig stove/billy pot combo. I dealt with TBS before when I purchased a TBS Grizzly bushcraft knife (love it). So, I ordered the TBS Wilderness Salamander Cook Kit which included a twig stove, billy pot w/ lid, a stainless steel double-wall (my choice) water bottle and nice canvas bag to store it all. I live in the U.S. and it only took 9 days to arrive, and I love the set. I highly recommend TBS gear. The gasification (or reburn) feature of the stove makes it very efficient and versatile out in the woods.
Fantastic product again, all bushcraft bob needs sitting in the tbs cup is a couple of Barbie dolls and he could have a hot tub party😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Keep up the good work guys. Craig.🇮🇲🇮🇲 (Ellan Vannin Bushcraft).
Awesome looks a great bit of kit. Looks like you guys have put a lot of thought into the tbs billy cup. I'm over the moon my Mrs has bought me that along with the canteen bottle for Christmas. Looks like I made the best choice when she asked what I would like. ATB, Garry.
I've just received a TBS billy can in the post and it really is a brilliant bit of kit! Everything has been thought through, especially the inclusion of a top hanger that doesn't get in the way should you want to use it as a mug. Simple yet ultimately very effective, and a fair price to boot.
quote 'The main problem with the Pathfinder pot is the lid is very tight' well I had the misfortune to buy the mk2 version I suspect this means production was farmed out to multple factories to save money, cos when I got mine the lid was actually about 1.5 millimetes wider than the rim of the pot talk about double checking measurements first before you hit start.
I'm new to this sort of thing but I bought one of these TBS billy can cups and so far I'm really pleased with it. The only thing I have to compare it with is the Zebra 10cm billy can. There is something aesthetically appealing about the Zebra billy can - and it's a classic and all that - but in practice I found the TBS cup much easier and safer to use.
Looks to be a really well thought out billy/cup. The only thing I would say is, if you use it as an oven, lying it on its side over the embers, will the lid stay put, or is it too loose?
Mat No the lid will not stay put. It is designed to be used in the normal way that you use a billy can. A really tight fitting lid is, in my opinion, a liability as you struggle to get them off and with a hot billy and hot content burns are a real possibility.
