Cristina Salagan EU-Block A When I was In Elementary, I remembered that I had this kind of teacher who keeps on motivating and inspiring us. She teaches very well and makes you understand the subject with fun learning. She disciplines us and teaches us good behavior. She is very caring towards weak students and helps them in their studies even after class hours. She has taught us so many things in the classroom. I have learnt to be disciplined and punctual for the class because of her. She guides us through our difficult times and encourages when we are down. That's the learning I can't even forget about my teacher.

Estrella, Joe Wendel J. Block C During my school days, I remember one of my teacher discussing about the timeframe of every individual. In that time, I was confuse and felt like I have no direction in life, I just go with the flow, and suddenly was enlightened by her wisdom, I remember what she quote " Every person has its own time to shine, so work hard as you can, one day definitely you will shine". with this line, I consider it as reminder even today, that you don' t need to rush everything has a timeframe, as long as you are working hard, as they say The leaves shall fall to where it should be.

Stephanie Rae C Capalungan EU- Block E I remember when I was in elementary, I had a teacher who tutored me when I was in grade III and happened to be my Professor, actually my adviser when I was in grade V. She's so strict, a disciplinarian and one of the best and feared teachers in our school who believes in me. I am not the smartest in the class but she believes in what I can do. She never doubted me. When there's an inter-school competition, she's the one who encourages me to join. Last year, hearing the news that she passed away, it really sadden me. I will never ever forget you, Ma'am. Rest in Paradise! 🥺

One of my teacher motivates me to study harder for me to achieve my dream in the future. She encourages me to be persistent and focus on my goal for me to become successful. She's one of a kind teacher for she devoted herself to teach us and encourage us to be positive always even though there a lot of circumstances we are facing. She thought us that no matter what life throws to us we need to stand up always and continue to our goals.

Marissa A. Rieta Block A Way back in my high school my favorite teacher is my economic teacher. Im blessed to get a teacher like her. I like all my teacher in school but she is someone special to me. She is strict but at the same time caring and loving. I loved being in her classes because she made her lectures so engaging and lively. She was so encouraging to her students and kind. I wanted to become a teacher like she was for me.

Jemma B. Pagunuran EU-C --> I remember one of my college professors. She's the type of professor that always understands me, and when she notice that I'm having a bad day, she always says, "It's okay anak, try again, never give up, I know someday you'll achieve what you're aiming for," and that word motivates me all the time. Because of her wise words, I'll never forget her.

Salas, Angelie N. Block: C I remember when I was in College I have a professor whom I can share my thoughts in life especially I was pregnant that time. She' s very strict when it comes to our lesson and when we are inside the classroom. But after class, she so cool because when we are outside the classroom she is like a bestfriend. She always been there to support and adviced me that I need to continue my study because pregnancy is not a hindrance to achieve my goals in life. And up to now, when we see each other we still like bestfriend and I can say that this professor is the best because she is not just a professor but a bestfriend. And I have learned that being nice to your students have gained more respect to you as a teacher because of the way you treat them.

Ram-Jay Jagon - Block A Question #2 Yes, because teachers who demonstrate their dedication to their job make a difference in their students’ life. Teachers are a big part of a person’s future because based on their knowledge is how students get motivated to achieve a career. And teachers help students build their own future profession. In my personal school experiences, I met great teachers that influence on my education and push me on entering the teaching profession. All children have the right to have education, which gives them the opportunity to find great people during their education journey that will change their lives.

Calata, Angelie M. Block : C What I really love about being a student is having a teacher whom you can count on in times of uncertainty. I remember when I was in 4th year high school there is this teacher whom I can go along with, talk about how my day was, help me do my school activities. She was like my second mom indeed. She was my biology teacher by the way , strict type of teacher during my 2nd year high school. And up to now, I already had my work, finished my baccalaureate degree I can still message her and asked things I don't know.

JACKIE ROSE VILLENA - BLOCK C I remember when i was in college when my professor in my law subject class, he always come to our class with no books or paper but he always come to our class with our index card, before our class will start he will asked one by one the article in the law books and you need to recite it properly because in every word that you say is very important to him, when you will say a word that is not belong to the paragraph in the article you are not belong in his class. But there are many things that will make you inspired of him on how he teach in his class. He come to his class with no books but he knows everything what is in the book and he can deliver the subject very well.He always make sure that in the end of the class you learned and understand everything. Jayselle T Unite - Block E I was in elementary when I have a teacher that is so strict. She always have her “magic pamalo” with her. I hated her at first, she always got angry because we are misbehaving, not attentive in class, noisy, sometimes late. I always experienced hit by a magic pamalo. One time I entered in the class late and no assigment, I experienced the hard hit of magic pamalo and it was really painful, she said that “ wala kang patutunguhan pag hindi ka mag aaral ng mabuti”. Starting that day I changed, I always listened to class attentively, her advices and teachings. I should take study seriously. And she became my favorite teacher. I realized that, it is her way to discipline us like my parents, and for me it is effective. I don’t hate strict teachers anymore ✌️

April Lyn P. Rumusud Block A When I was in high school, I have this teacher who is very strict. Strict in the sense that she will push you to study your lessons well. She loves to give a surprise quiz or recitation so you really need to study your lesson every night if you don't want to stand the whole period. Despite of the strictness, I know that she also have a soft heart. I will never forget her. I'd learned how to push myself to study hard because of her.

I learned a lot from her that if you have a goal in life you must be serious and focus on it.

Donna Mae C. Misa / EU-1A When I was in high school, I have a teacher who was very strict and sensitive. She was my Math teacher. Every time that she comes in our room, we make sure that the blackboard is clean and the chairs are properly arranged. I understand that maybe she just wanted an organized room. In terms of recitation, it seems that she always wanted to hear a correct answer because when our answers are wrong, she make "simangot" and we interpret that as a negative reaction by my teacher and ends with a standing ovation. You know what it means sir. Haha. as an effect to that, every time she asks something to us, we are afraid to answer her questions. If I have a chance to become a teacher, I will let my students answer my questions whether it is right or wrong because what matter is they will respond to me and share what they know and be confident. We have a saying that "Respects begets respect". :)

Belen, Vener June Ricardo EU-Block C There is a change in how I perceive teachers now. What is that change? Here it is… When I was studying all I thought is that all teachers stick only to what they know or what have been taught to them and all they teach is from that perspective but now that change when I already step and become one of them. They have what they call professional standards where the aim is to develop learner’s holistically therefore enhancing teacher quality becomes of utmost importance for long-term and sustainable nation building. Moreover, from here, I now know that I must adopt and adjust to changes to enhance our teaching-learning strategies and techniques.

Jemarie B. Sibbaluca EU-1A The best moment in class was when I was in 3rd year high school. That was when I got into poetry and spoken word. Having that “character and scene” class made my life even greater. Not knowing anything about poetry, hating on poems about reading and writing it in the past. That class was fun in many ways. For example; there was this one time where we had to write our own plays and poems and perform them in front of the class. I felt alive, and the creative side of me came out. When I wrote my first poem in freshman year. I realized that it was fun and unique. I felt like I wanted to write more and more. When I performed my first poem to that class I found my passion. Teachers and students can learn from this experience that, you can find what best fits you.

The one and the very first memory which is one of the most favourite moments of my school life is having a good chemistry teacher. She always remind me that I shoul believe in myself. Janrey Del Castillo Earning Units Block A My fondest memory with my teachers was the Teachers Day program we preapred for them when we were in high school. We celebrate the teachers day with a simple program for the entire school. We, the 4th year students, perform a show which we copy the nuances and how they move or teach. The show entitled Kalokalike just like in showtime. Our teachers are surprised and entertained. All of us were enjoyed the program. The lesson I learned in this experience was to respect more teachers in ways of their teaching and to have fun in little things.

Reyamrt R. Corotan Block 1F Back when I was in elementary there was this one teacher in our school that was so strict. All pupils in our school was scared of her because of her aura and attitude. We felt so much pressure in her class because every time we can’t understand her lesson she gets upset and scold us in a harsh manner. I listen to her attentively every time for me not to get scolded. But there's one classmate of mine that couldn't meet our teacher’s standard, it was too hard for him to cope up with us. Because of his inability to follow the lessons given to us, he got to suffer so much under our class. Then one day he decided not to go to school anymore and choose not to continue studying. As we learn in this video patience is a must in teaching. Not all learners are the same. Teachers must have the extended patience especially for those who cannot cope up easily because teacher’s attitude towards learner have a big impact to them especially students in primary levels whom are more vulnerable and still coping up to the school environment.

When I was in highschool. My teacher in science was very strict. She was serious when discussing and no fun in joking or what we call kill joy.Kapag siya na yung next teacher namin kinakabahan na ako kasi terror talaga siya. One time nagbigay siya ng activity/project namin but there is a condition. Gusto niya sabay sabay kaming magtanim ng santan at kapag nabuhay ang itinanim, mataas ang ibibigay niyang grade sa activity/project namin kaya dapat everyday chinecheck to make sure na mabuhay talaga😁 What I learned from her ay dapat dedicated ka sa ginagawa mo at dapt motivated ka. At ang isa pa na hindi ko makakalimutan ay dapat always active and present ka in her class kasi if wala kang valid reason kawawa ka at ipapahiya ka to the whole class and that was I hate the most. Yung ipapahiya at sisigawan ka in front of your classmates. And if I will become an educator in the future, I will not imitate the strategies of her teaching because an effective educator does not embarrassed students in front of others because a teacher is the second parents to the learners and they must build the value of empathy towards their students in order for them to understand their situations because each students have their own differences and they have different environment.

Philemon N. Maiztegui (EU-1C) 2.) Definitely there is a big difference on how I perceived teachers nowadays compared to how I see them before. Teachers now have established a more subtle and child-friendly approach in teaching and disciplining. During my elementary years, I experienced a number of physical punishments imposed by my teachers whenever I commit transgressions especially during discussions. Discipline bordering on physical are not yet frowned upon that time; moreover, it was the established norm so it was acceptable when students are whipped in the bum to learn their lessons.

Clarence B. Cabalang- Block E I remember when I was in college, we had an issue with one of our instructor regarding with our grades in our practicum. Some of my classmates filed a complaint, they exposed her in twitter and because of those actions, she begun to have a cold heart towards us, she suddenly did'nt want to talk with us and decided not to attend our class. Now I realized that we really deserved it. The actions of my classmates are unacceptable. With that situation, I learned that RESPECT is really important. If we have complains in life, we must confront the person and have a discussion. Do not expose anyone especially in social media because it wouldn't help us solve the problem. Especially now that I'm in the process of becoming a teacher, I learned that every action there is a corresponding consequence.

Christina M. Santos EU Block E Nowadays, teachers have the toughest and most difficult role/profession in the society. Learners and environment changes, and the roles of the teachers become more challenging. With the rapid growth and advancement of technology, teachers also need to adapt. Changes have affected both the opportunity and the challenges of teaching, as well as the attitude, knowledge and skills needed to prepare for teaching career. With today's generation, most of them have more responsibilities compared to the teachers in the past. That's why aspiring 21st teachers must take into considerations all the streneous and crucial responsibilities being an educator to ensure that no child gets left behind. They must fully understand and wholeheartedly accept all the challenges and difficulties because this is a selfless profession.

Maria Jenin Jenine M. Bangalan Block A I will share my memorable experience with my teacher when I was in Grade 3 in Tuguegarao East Central School. Way back in that year, me and and my classmates learned a lot in that experience that gave us a life lesson such as self discipline, honesty, who you trust and friendship. Here's the situation, my teacher Mrs. Soriano, she is known to be very strict and authoritarian. In the afternoon class she was late that everyone of us was celebrating and playing all around that created mess and loud noise. As a children, we didn't expect the end result of it because it was our only chance to play in the classroom since it was prohibited. Then, after thirty minutes of playing, we didn't notice that the other teacher in the classroom called Mrs. Soriano who was just in the Principal room discussing important matters with the other teachers suddenly came into the room. She was upset and very angry because inside the classroom with her, we are very behave and well mannered so she thought we will be the same even if she was out. After that she called the president of our classroom to tell one pupil who played too. After telling one pupil you will be punished by hitting your two hands with a long stick and at the end we all got penalize. After that situation, we became responsible with our actions until now I am handling my own mistakes and decisions in life. Honesty and who you trust is very important too, because at the end of the day you need a helping hand to achieve your goals with clean hands and no guilt with whoever.

Viloria, Mark Vincent C. Block: A When I was in third year year high school, there was one teacher who had the guts to tell me that I had no mathematical skills, that I was not good enough for her Math class. Instead of being discouraged, I promised myself that I would prove her wrong. That is exactly what I did until she took me in and she became my coach in all Mathematics-related events and competitions. At first glance, others might judge that teacher to be too harsh. But I knew in my heart that what she did to me was an outright challenge. It was her way of saying that I could be better, that I can be the best if I want to. As the months passed by during the remaining two years of my high school life, I learned a lot from her. Eventually, she revealed to me that she knew I had the skills. I just needed to be challenged so that I would persevere. Honestly, I was the only one in my class that she treated that way. Maybe, she knew that the technique she used to challenge me was the right thing to do so that I would be motivated to make myself better. That point in my life greatly changed my outlook on teachers. That was the time I learned that not all students need to be soothed and spoon-fed to strive to learn more. I realized that teachers are not unreasonably strict or harsh. There was a purpose behind the actions that they do and the words that they utter. In short, they are knowledgeable enough to know what strategy is needed for every type of learner that they handle.

Turingan, John Paul (Block E): I Think there was a change to teachers beacause nowadays students use computers more often today than in the past for research, writing, communicating, and keeping records. Technology has created new ways for students to learn . - for example, this textbook would not be possible without Internet technology. It has also altered how teachers can teach most effectively, and even raised issues about what constitutes “true” teaching and learning.

Before I have always seen teachers as strict, they won us to focus on the subject, and every time they enters our room, I was afraid. Just like in real life in high school. It is a fun period in life because teenagers have no sense of responsibility apart from studying. They have all the time in the world to have fun. However, every year the subjects are upgrading, and the objective of the Teacher is to evaluate how they are effective teachers, if the student learned and improved their knowledge/skill. Because I am afraid to fail/not to pass my subject, I need to change my discipline in school and study hard. I use these advantages of my weaknesses. The behavior of strict teachers is because they want us to become independent and responsible in our learning stage. Do not be afraid because they helping us to mold our better future.

I also believe it is not easy to say that we are passionate for something unless we are doing it for a long period of time. It made me ponder on the sacrifices and determination a teacher must have in order to say that teaching is really his/her passion, especially those who spent most of their lives in this field and eventually retiring as a teacher. With this discussion, teachers and the teaching profession in general have my highest admiration.

What were seen around the four corners of the classroom about them were just like a cover of a book. I was able to know what they could give more. What they could sacrifice more since they had also other responsibilities to fulfill. Their families were also waiting for them at home but they chose to be with us. So I was nervous that time because I find difficulty with the strategy, then because I made a mistake she told me to open both of my hands and she slap it using metal ruler. I was kind of disappointed because that's my first time na mapalo ng guro. And because of that, I clearly remember that method that until now I pass it on my daughter. It was a memorable because with that kind of teacher our class and subject to him never been boring it was fun and exciting and I learned a lot from him.

Eslava, Michelle, C. EU BLOCK - E I remember when I was in my third year of High school, our adviser doesn't want us, girls, to use any makeup at all. She said, We should focus on our studies first and refrain from wearing make-up or mislead, anyone caught will have her punishment literally, and you see our batch in High school was one of the best batches ever.In 30's we are very busy working for career progress and there were only a few who got married but still, they are very successful. So to every teacher around I want to say Thank you for who I am now

John Michael A. Turingan Block E back when i was in elementary I've had some bad experiences with my teachers, telling me what jobs and other things in life I COULDN'T do, but the worst was my math teacher. I wasn't good in math and because of the way she always treated me, my enthusiasm was not much. She mocked me, laughed at my work in front of the others and when I really did a good job she said aloud "I didn't expect that from you". She loved to check my homework by making me come forward, asking me questions, knowing I had two choices: saying I didn't know or stuttering. Even my father talked to her, but the situation really went bad after that. den after ng graduation ko pumunta ako ng school just to get my diploma. sinadya niyang hinulog yung diploma ko at nabasag and salamin neto pero hinayaan ko nalang pero pinagtawanan parin ako. naiiyak ako nuon pero hinayaan ko nalang.

Joylin Mallillin Mora- EU-BLOCk C For me , when i was in Highschool, she is our teacher in FILIPINO, i admired her for being so nice and being like a mother to us. She is very strict but strict in a good term that we students could really educate. She always gives us words of encouragement and words of wisdom. She has also sense of humor which makes us class enjoyable. As i will become a teacher, i will make sure that i will become like her. And i will use his techniques in teaching so that our class will be more productive and enjoyable🥰🥰🥰

Tabian, Jan Kenneth (Block E): When I was in College, I have a teacher who we call a terror teacher. She was always strict and had rules in classroom, that's why every time she enter our class students were quiet and so behave lol. I was always flattered when she always make me a leader whenever we had group activities because back in high school I was the student that teacher really had a problem about. I learned to be a more responsible student that time, not just a student but also as a person. I will not forget the trust, opportunity she gave me and also be grateful to her all the time.

Angelica Andres - Block F When I was in high school, there was this teacher who loves to give surprise quizzes, pre-test . As far as I remember, it was during our first grading period and I got 0 for that assessment as I didn’t read in advance. Our teacher said, Ms. Andres I thought you’re one of the consistent students who has good scores in this class, why do you have this scores now? I was really embarrassed at that time so I made sure to always do an advance reading for me to have at least an idea of what will be discussed for that day. True enough I survived that class with a good mark.

Marvie Contillo EU block-E Thinking what does a teacher is just to teach is an underestimation for me. As I watch your lecture video Sir it changes how I perceive teachers, they do really deserve to be called the modern day heroes for their very efforts and sacrifices as to sustain a quality education for us students and as showing to their unwavering commitment to do their jobs. Ang pagiging isang guro dapat ay pinag iisipan ng mabuti kase it is a lifelong commitment kahit pa na abutin na ng retirement kase ang pagtuturo hindi lang naman sa loob ng paaralan nangyayare.

IRIS CHRISTINE R. CANONIO EU-1C I’ve had so many wonderful teachers through the years that have helped shape my life. One teacher who especially stands out in my memory on my 5th grade was "Mrs. Angelina Cambri." She taught us how to write correct posture, degrees of the alphabets in cursive way.I'am very thankful to her because i carried it in my highschool and college days until now simply because when you're doing it by hand it's easier to show the connections between ideas.
