I love how we can literally kill 100,000 pixelated soldiers without batting an eye, but kicking a pixelated evil dog that is trying to eat you and hearing it whimper is like…nope!🤣🤣
One of the things I really appreciate about your playthroughs is just how much you articulate your thoughts out loud when approaching puzzles, deciding your next upgrade path, etc. Makes the videos a lot more engaging for us viewers who went through all the same thoughts during our own playthroughs
keep in mind that there are a tons of combat / environmental puzzles 'some of them are very clever and not easy at a glance' & many varieties of bosses, plus lot more quick time events than the first game. This is the first god of war game where it was created to be more cinematic & adventurous rather than just "hack n slash" of the first game.
you "can" activate the amulet of fates (slow time) when you can see a green radiation. You can activate it during combat if you see one. You have to press the button multiple times to get it to work because you're playing the PS Store Streamed version which doesn't have the responsive controls as the PS2 has.
24:19 "there is a chest over to my right. i don't know how to get to that one though. there's also a save over there." You actually came from there (18:53) 38:20 There was a path going down on the RIGHT with 2 chests (one of it supposed to be a Gorgon Eye). i think this is the first time you missed them. 59:57 There is a method to travel faster. HOLD your EVADE analogue stick towards the direction you want to go, and SPAM Light Attack(supposedly SQUARE). 1:07:55 if you look at the edge bottom of the right screen, you can see a glimpse of a chest at the moment you make a turn. There was 2 chests there. 1:11:58 on the second platform you tried to jump on, there was a crack on the wall on the right.. .. which you can already guessed, there was a chest inside. 1:15:47 "i can slow time too. i realized that way too late. that probably would have made the fight a lot easier." YES, you ACTUALLY can. Side note: Whatever chests you have missed, it is not necessary for you to feel bad about it. Because at this point, you still performed above average. Anyway i wish to point out something since you have acquired Amulet of Fate.. You probably still remember the MYSTERY room in God of War (1) which granted you Health, Magic and Orbs. Well, similar UPGRADES are available in GOW2 but they are scattered as hidden chests(and another), no longer in any particular room. And each of the upgrades has its own method to get to it. There are 3+1 upgrades available. +1 refers to Easter Egg. AFTER THIS POINT, i will give VAGUE HINTS, if do not wish for it, stop reading it now. ^ ^ ^ ^ i do not want to spoil anything but keep doing what you did at 1:22:00 (checking behind the statue - and it is not this simple because you need to solve some puzzle). - this has higher possibility to find. Then keep checking your surroundings with the bow for something TARGET-able/AIM-able near SOME KIND OF TRAP which involves hovering/floating/flying. When you manage to find it, do not forget to also TURN OFF the trap at that spot, the switch/lever is hidden. - this already has very low possibility to find. By seeing at the end of the video, assuming by now you have proceed with the game, you probably have noticed there was a chest IN A CUTSCENE. That is among the OFFICIAL 'hidden' chests. There is another one (easter egg), this one need a bit detailed of explanation because you would not have guessed if no one tells you. - this is 99% impossible to find out by most people. ^ ^ if you find any peculiar symbol on a floor(around odd tree), press R1.. it will do NOTHING but you should look for next SAME peculiar symbol nearby. Once you successfully registered R1 for every peculiar symbol, the final symbol will reward you. Keep grinding. Cheers.
I like how developers blend Kratos in Greek mythology just to give him an opportunity to kill more mythical creatures and characters 😁 And those boars are the most random enemies I ever saw in the whole series. As you said - they're just there to be thrown) Thanks for the new episode!
More old school gaming ps2 games like God of war trilogy! If you are enjoying God of War, I think you’ll enjoy Dante’s Inferno. Have a great weekend Kaliwali
I've always wondered who put all these chests everywhere throughout the games...At first I thought it might be Gaia but idk Maybe we'll get that lore someday
When you use the fire of the Titans you accumulate hits and according to that amount you can launch a much greater attack by pressing L1 (the cover button) with fury activated of course.
Cool! Good gameplay, how was it to see again old foes? I'll wait for the next episode. The steeds of fate, I've always found them amazing, how they were so strong to pull an entire island to the big statues of the sisters
this is 3rd part of explaining characters from the game I made some mistakes, one of which is that I mixed up Typhon and Epimetheus, again, sorry, I just haven’t watched this game for a long time and mixed up the characters. The second mistake is that I got confused and said that Zeus did Prometheus mortal and not immortal as stated in the game. it turned out the other way around in the game they said that Zeus made him mortal and in mythology immortal, again I haven’t watched the walkthrough for a long time but in my defense I will say that I still don’t understand why Prometheus was mortal, because he is a Titan and the Titans, like gods, are immortal (or rather, as I said, they are essentially gods) Now about Typhon - not only is he not the brother of Gaia, but he is not a Titan at all. In fact, he is the son of Gaia and Tartarus. The Titans are the children of Gaia and Uranus, with the only exceptions being Prometheus, Atlas, Helios and Leto. he is a giant, which, unlike the Titans, was really big. Typhon is the father of almost all the monsters in Greek mythology: Cerberus, Hydra, Chimera, Sphinx, Gorgons, etc. He challenged the Olympian gods, almost defeated them, but in the end lost and was imprisoned on the mountain. the chimera is the mythical creature about which I wrote in the last comment. but the problem is that this is another long story and I don’t want to talk about it yet. Rhea is a titanide (female titan), the wife of Cronus and also his sister. Her story has already been told in the game, but I will tell you how it differs from mythology. firstly, Rhea and Kronus should be the same size, otherwise it’s unclear how they even conceived children. Rhea also did not send any eagle. She personally carried Zeus to Mount Dicta, where he was looked after not by Gaia, but by the goat Amalthea. Then he grew up and made a potion that made him spit out his children: Hades, Hera, Hestia, Demeter and Poseidon. And, the great war against the titans began. steeds of time - well, they are not in mythology🤷 the next one is Theseus, as for me one of the most inexplicable characters in this game and his story is very big and confusing but I will try to tell it. In short, there was such a king of Athens Aegean and he turned to the oracle to find out if he would have a son, but in the end he received a mystery advice. Pettheus (I still don’t understand who this is) (update: this is the father of Efra-the mother of Theseus) decided that Aegeus would have a son and got Aegeus and his wife Efra drunk and put them to bed together, but Poseidon was also in the bed for some reason. and Theseus ended up having two fathers. As a result, Efra became pregnant and Aegeus left her alone and left a sword and sandals under a stone.Theseus was born, he was raised by Pittheus, and then there are stories about his childhood, in which there was nothing particularly interesting, and when he turned 16, Ephra finally told him that his father was Aegean and Theseus discovered a stone, under which lay a sword and sandals, which he had taken with him. he decided to sail to Athens and along the way he met very interesting characters, which I really want to tell you about, but if I really tell you, it will take a lot of time. no, I decided to tell you anyway Sinid the bender of pine trees, he tied his victims to the tops of two bent trees and they were torn in two. Then the pig faya I have nothing to say about her except that she is also a killer. Skiron he forced people to wash his heels at the cliff, and when they started to wash, he simply threw them off the cliff with his heel. Damascus, he laid his victims on the bed; those who were too short, he stretched them, and those who were too long, he cut off the legs. As a result, Theseus killed them using their own methods of murder. Let's go back to Theseus. He arrived in Athens and met Aegean who was under the influence of the sorceress Medea. they had a son whom she hoped would inherit the throne and was not happy to see a contender for power. she immediately realized who he was when they heard news about an unknown hero and tried to persuade Aegeus to kill Theseus. Aegeus did not know that it was his son and, trying to kill, invited him to a feast and brought a cup of poisoned wine, but when he saw his sword, he realized that it was his son and threw away the cup, and Medea and her son escaped from Athens. Next comes the journey to Crete, it will be difficult to explain without telling the backstory of the Minotaur (someday I will tell it because it is very interesting) in short, 7 young men were sent to Crete every year for them to be strached by minotaur.Theseus decided to become a volunteer to defeat the Minotaur. He told his father that if he returned with victory, he would raise a white sail instead of a black one. Upon arrival on the island, Ariadne, the daughter of Minos, fell in love with Theseus (I will tell you about Minos in the backstory of the Minotaur) Ariadne received a ball with a guiding thread from Daedalus (the builder of the labyrinth in which the Minotaur is located) Aridna explained how to get out of the labyrinth with the help of a ball. Theseus killed the Minotaur got out of the labyrinth and then there are 2 options for events, they are in almost every story, if not in every one, but in this particular one they are both very popular so I'll tell you which one I think is more believable. in the first story, Theseus abandoned Ariadne on the island and sailed away without her; in the second story, Ariadne is kidnapped and killed by Dionysus (the god of wine). Although the first story is more popular and more suitable for the character of Theseus, it is not very suitable for the continuation of the story because he is very upset about the loss of Ariadne, which is why he forgot to change the sail. And I don’t understand why Theseus would be sad if he himself abandoned her on the island, so I choose the second version. Well, as I already said, he forgot to change the sail, which is why Aegeus thought that Theseus had lost and decided to end his life by drowning in the sea. and now that the king is dead, Theseus becomes the new king of Athens.if anything this is still not the end of the story, but this story is already too long so let’s end it here. I already have a great plan on how to continue it. I was hoping to talk about the sisters of fate today, but today it won’t work
Will you be playing the spin-off games Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta? If not, I do recommend watching a playthrough/recap videos on them, 'cause they do add some valuable stuff to the lore. In terms of continuity, here's the order of the games: 1) God of War: Ascension. 2) God of War: Chains of Olympus. 3) God of War (2005). 4) God of War: Ghost of Sparta. 5) God of War 2. 6) God of War 3. 7) God of War (2018). 8) God of War: Ragnarök.
Yes! I decided to launch next week so that the episodes can be closer together instead of a whole week apart (if that makes sense). I have some Mass Effect reacts for Sunday, so I thought posting Detroit starting next week when I can keep the episodes closer together would be better for retention & storyline!
My video underwent some last minute editing because of a copyright song in the beginning lol. Maybe it was because of that? The video should be back to normal and fully uploaded now so try again for subtitles! Sorry about this! 💚
When 12:37 I first played the game that graphics blows my mind that’s the peak of gaming graphics at that time…game graphics are way better now but storytelling sucks…👍
